However, there are posters here who question the credibility of Valby's career trajectory, given her dramatic injury recoveries on the limited kind of training she has apparently used.
No, it’s specifically you and astro that have repeatedly accused her of doping for two years now. And you aren’t the sharpest tool in the jar when it comes to training, in general. Her foot injury was in January, she was back to the fitness at the time of injury by June. You and astro are the only ones that keep repeating that is a dramatic injury recovery.
No, we aren't. This is from earlier in the thread:
"Taylor Roe said in an interview that she has never seen anyone in her entire career get back to peak fitness after being injured as fast as Valby can, and it speaks to how talented Valby is."
No. I assumed that you are in the know. That is why I said if nearly everyone is doing those things legally, it is the same as nearly everyone using supershoes. It is therfore not something that makes Parker better than other runners. It is therefore a nondiscriminator. We are then only left with superior talent as the discriminator.
Getting a TUE for a banned substance - if that is what some athletes are doing - is not the same as using shoes approved of by WA.
And yet you don’t know whether Tuohy or Valby or Roe or Young or Blanks or any of the others have a Tue. You just specifically single out Valby because she is better than Tuohy.

And nobody produced a link to that Taylor Roe interview. How difficult is it to produce a link? What did Roe actually say? Which injury is Roe referring to???
This thread isn't about Tuohy or her training, or her physique (she is no Kratochvilova). But if you think a distance runner's physique tells you they are clean or doped what do the physiques of Ramzi or Kiprop or any number of busted Kenyan distance runners tell you? Were they not also "built to run"?
No, it’s by default involves Tuohy because you and astro attack Valby because Valby was better than Tuohy. It is that simple.
No, it's because you are that simple. You haven't seen the views of posters here who question how Valby can be so successful on the kind of training she employs. But you haven't addressed the point I made in the comment above you were replying to (or avoiding replying to).
Are you saying that she is using illegal drugs? That is a serious allegation. I am sorry to inform you that she is the most talented American runner in history. Hard for you to deal with the fact that she is smashing records while that former high school phenom went into hiding once she enterd the testing pool.
The BroJo’s are directly or indirectly involved in the constant drug accusations.

I didn't make the argument that athletes were obtaining TUE's. That was another poster. I was pointing out that "legal" doping is not the same as legal shoes. I didn't say who might be obtaining TUE's - but some runners will. Some will also be simply doping. It is in college sport.

All of the points were addressed. Numerous people came on this thread and gave answers, and you and astro, specifically, ignored them and continued to accuse her of doping. You still think 5months of recovery for a foot injury is dramatic. Some injuries can last a career, yet some athletes, like Jake Wightman can be back running five weeks after a very severe foot injury. So to conclude a five month recovery for a foot injury is “dramatic” is just spouting nonsense; and it is stupidity when coming from you, one that doesn’t run and doesn’t understand basic training principles.

Yeah we don't know and likely will never know in most cases for TUEs
Its a Black Box created inside the regime of athletic integrity that we just have to accept at this point
Has anyone proactively come out and said "just so you know, i have a TUE for x"
I cant think of any examples.
It's always after the fact or post investigation that we hear about a TUE disclosure

So then why do you and astro specifically single out Valby? It’s because she turned out to be better than Tuohy, that is why.

This thread on her training has produced 17 pages so far. You think that is all because of two posters?
But you still haven't addressed the point about her being "built to run" when runners like Ramzi, Kiprop and Jeptoo were also surely built to run.

The only obsession with Tuohy here appears to be yours.

That does seem to be the case. I am wondering why the 3 other runners who beat Tuohy in November, and also were among Valby's closest challengers Indoors are not cited for comparison as opposed to Tuohy.
This thread isn't about Roe. But you say it isn't about Tuohy. What are you comparing VAlb'y accomplishments to that makes you question how good she is? You don't seem to realize that you are comparing her to Tuohy and other great runners tha came befire. If we had no frame of reference, Parker's accomplishments would be looked at in a vacuum. We wouldn't know if she is fast or slow. We wouldn't know if other utilize the same training methods or if she trains more than others. You are quick to refer to the training of elite runners, You are quick to act like Roe is an expert. But you scold people for mentioning the next best 5k runner in the NCAA and her training and her possible use of perfromance enhancers. Sure thing. Way to be consistent.

Not really sure Armstronglivs suspends his disbelief for anyone on this topic
He's more of an equal opportunity anti-theist on the matter it seems

She just broke the 10k NCAA record.
How is it not comparing her to everyone before her?
Until we get some DNA test that spits out your max, talent is undefined. We tend to just call people with sprint speed and who perform well at a young age talented. People that have the talent to respond to training get called “hard workers”…
You don’t think a raw high school kid that joins the track team as a freshman(?) and runs the fastest 3200m in the state of Florida might have some ‘talent’?
Was Jim Ryun an untalented 10th grader running a 5:30 mile who through hard work ran a sub 4 mile or was he the most talented US runner ever? As I said we have no way to say athlete a has 14:30 talent and another has 14:40.
Smart people compare her to all previous runners. But we put the majority of the emphasis on the fastest ones like Kohl in the 10k and Tuohy in the 5k. Silly to look at what a runner at 20 minutes for 5k is doing for training. The biggest Tuohy fans don't understand that they are in fact comparing her performance to Tuohy and the other top females.
