I have to disagree there. If a person had the true belief deep down in their soul, no matter how factually flawed, that a presidential election was being stolen, and they did nothing to try and stop the stealing, then that person is a coward.
It's the same with abortion. If a person truly believed that a million babies were being murdered every year, and did nothing to try and physically stop it, then that person is a coward.
Flawed logic. To suggest someone needs to physically do something or be labeled a coward? That’s a maladjusted thought process. The domestic terrorist group “Jane’s Revenge” thinks that way and look at what they’re doing. You really think that’s the only way to prove you’re serious about an issue?
regarding abortion, conservatives played the long game and won without resorting to unnecessary physical acts. Conservatives elected pro life candidates and donated to pro life causes which ended with the appointment of conservative Supreme Court justices. You can disagree with abortion without having to do anything physical, other than walk in and vote.
how many people talk about how bad slavery is or how bad religious persecution is, yet they don’t fly to China and try to physically change those things. How many people really go to Africa to help the starving children? You can think something is reprehensible, yet not resort to physical methods to remedy it.
you’re logic is why unnecessary violence happens, such as with Jane’s Revenge.
If my logic was flawed, you were unable to point out the flaw.
I wasn't talking about "disagreeing with abortion." I was talking about a true belief that abortion is the first degree murder of innocent babies. If you truly believe that 1 million innocent babies are being murdered in America every year and did nothing to stop it except "playing the long game" while that murderous genocide - the largest genocide in history - goes on, then yes you are a massive coward. Enormous coward. Are you telling me that if you saw someone start shooting up a maternity ward, you wouldn't try to stop the shooter? You would think to yourself "what's the long game play here?" I doubt that. I doubt many people would do that if they truly believed babies were about to be murdered.
The magnitude and immediacy of the crime matters. This isn't just BLM looting a Walmart or a liquor store. As a society, we can suffer such crime and unfairness, and hope for better days when looting by certain groups is no longer extolled as a virtuous act. But if you truly believed that an American presidential election, which affects the lives of every decent American, was being stolen because a sophisticated gang of criminals were manipulating millions of votes, and did nothing to stop it other than reflect on the long game, then you are a coward. Such a person lacks the courage of their convictions.
Murder of innocents? Nationwide fraud that affects the security of our country? These are things of enormous magnitude. Call me an optimist, but I think every decent America would try to put a stop to these things if they believed they were happening.
I think you are the one with the flawed logic, Mr. I-play-the-long-game-while-babies-are-murdered. Maybe you lack the courage to stop infant genocide by playing some alleged 50 year long game (that isn't even intended to stop abortion), but others don't.

So you’re doubling down on committing acts of violence to stop things that you oppose? You think pro-life people should go out and shoot up planned parenthood facilities or they are cowards? That’s a stretch. Even if you think that abortion is genocide, sane people know that killing people isn’t the answer to change that.
You seem a bit fanatical in your views, similar to the guy who showed up to assassinate a conservative Supreme Court justice because he thought If he killed kavanaugh then Biden could nominate a liberal and that would reverse the Dobbs decision. You think that’s what non-cowards do? That’s what mentally unstable people do.
Your justifying people losing their livelihoods during BLM riots tells me a lot about your mindset. You probably just think insurance will cover all those costs, they won’t. Many business owners packed up and left, leaving the neighborhoods in worse condition than before.
So, you shouldn’t have any problem with the insurrectionists since they went out and “did something” and aren’t “cowards”.
The insurrection was all part of an attempt to overturn the election deemed to be full of fraud. Whether that was orchestrated or not, the attempt to overturn the election appears to have happened.
The GOP voters polled to a majority believe that the election was fraudulent.
Believing the election was fraudulent does not equate to supporting the actions taken on January 6th.
The point being made was basing the opinion of an entire party on the "actions of a small group". The actions of an entire party are being judged by the fact that so many of them believe the election was "rigged" and that another guy won.

Wear it.
The last part of your comment can go for the dems too. So many of them still believe that Trump won in 2016 because of help from Russia, even though that isn’t correct. Stacey Abrams refused to concede to Brian kemp in the Georgia gubernatorial election saying that the election was stolen from her. Whining happens on both sides.
That being said, I’m in the group that thinks January 6th was indeed a bad day and there are some people who need to do some jail time. But to say an entire voter demographic supports the actions on January 6th just because they believe some funny business happened in the 2020 election is just asinine.
Maybe we should judge the dems based on the folks who think the 2016 election wasn’t legit as well? Like I said, people do this when they would rather just label an entire group as evil or dumb or whatever other negative adjective they can come up with. It’s easier for weak minded people to think in absolutes. I’d rather not do that, but I guess that’s where things are headed.
I accepted that the ex-P grabber in chief won in 2016. But 81 million voters voted against Trump because he is a moral degenerate and he pissed down his leg with Covid !!!!!
I have not seen any good defense of any of what the hearings have shown.
All I see are attacks on Cheney and attempts to change the topic or whataboutism.
Trump Republicans are trying to convince themselves that no one cares.
. the next hearing willl be very interesting with another Republican appearing for the hearings.
Trump still thinks Pence was wrong for not going along with the plan that everyone knew was unconstitutional.
Eastman asked for a pardon. he knew the plan was unconstitutional.
it is no wonder a conservative judge gave testimony that Trump is a clear and present danger.
From speech yesterday
Today: “I never called Mike Pence a wimp. Mike Pence had a chance to be great. He had a chance to be, frankly, historic. But just like Bill Barr and the rest of these weak people, Mike did not have the courage to act.” pic.twitter.com/Wz18qp4qbn

2016, the Russians did run extensive trolling effort to support Trump. Trump campaign people did help steer that effort. Democrats complained, demanded investigation (which Trump & co obstructed). Of course many Democrats believe Trump should be charged with obstruction of justice as documented by the Mueller Report.
2020, there was no big fraud. There WAS Trump and co pushing the big lie (and they knew it was a lie) to their followers. They lied to get support for state legislatures picking electors. They lied to get supporters to riot and storm the Capital Building to disrupt the counting of electors.
2 very different things. Republicans have been lied to by known grifter Trump. They have been told the truth by Pence, by state secretaries of state, by judges (even judges appointed by Trump). They need to wake up. Storming the Capitol to disrupt the election is certainly a crime. But the much bigger crime was the big lie by Trump. Sedition.
The Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was perhaps the most widely documented act of political violence in history. The New York Times obtained, analyzed and ...
It's becoming more and more clear to me that the people who continue to decry these hearings or say that they're just a big "noting burger" simply don't care about American democracy

You are being deliberately obtuse and mischaracterizing my posts. Nothing I posted can be taken as encouraging "committing acts of violence to stop things that you oppose." I even posted something I strongly oppose -- BLM looting of Walmart and liquor stores -- as events that we will just have to continue to suffer through, and hope that someday reason, logic and morals will prevail and that BLM fraud and looting will no longer be excused, condoned and encouraged by our society. (Your deliberate Strawman mischaracterization of what I posted regarding BLM was specious and deserves no further comment. Your additional Kavanaugh comment, to the extent it can be understood in context, is similarly specious).
The vast majority of pro-life people do not believe that abortion is first degree murder of a baby, or believe that a million infants are being murdered in the first degree in America each year. Similarly, the vast majority of Trump supporters do not believe the 2020 presidential election was stolen due to a large and complicated criminal conspiracy that successfully manipulated millions of votes that had been cast. The few that do truly believe those things tried to do something about it. Those beliefs are of things of such enormous magnitude and effect that a person of conscience would have to try and stop them.
It is only YOU, apparently, that truly believe innocent babies are being murdered by the untold millions in America -- which would arguably be the largest genocide in world history -- yet stand by while that goes on, posting on a message board, and taking cheap solace in the fact that you are allegedly playing some vague 50+ year "long game" that you believe will someday stop the ongoing genocide of innocents. That would be the true mark of a coward.
It's becoming more and more clear to me that the people who continue to decry these hearings or say that they're just a big "noting burger" simply don't care about American democracy
I guess the vast majority of Americans "simply don't care about American democracy".
Or maybe have a little more common sense than those taking this show seriously

Have you even watched carmine? Or do you just mindlessly believe all the contrarian bs you're being spoon fed by OAN or Fox or whatever other conspiratorial conservative infotainment "news" network you follow
Agreed. Trump called for elected officials to commit crimes. Officials like Raffensperger and Rusty Bowers. They are giving powerful testimony of Trump's crimes.

It doesn't even matter, because you probablyhave some canned response at the ready to counter anything that invalidates or threatens your worldview. I'm sure you'd just say the people testifying are just RINO shills paid by the Clintons or the NWO or the Jews or something
What is fascinating is that the biggest take downs of Trump, the big lie and all the criminality surrounding 1/6 is coming from right wing darlings and well respected conservatives.
Trump and his people were told repeatedly they were committing crimes. But when you have spent your lives in organized crime, legality doesn't tend to sway your views.
I guess the vast majority of Americans "simply don't care about American democracy".

I do know that an event where the only person killed was a protester was not violent insurrection.
I know only the naive don't know that the Proud Boys are filthy with FBI agents.
I know that violent insurrectionists don't get into the Capitol Bldg and take selfies and sit in chairs.
I do know there is no bigger liar than Adam Schiff.
