He's a one-note symphony: He has convictions and values whilst everyone who disagrees with him has only "bias", to the point of delusion.
He's seen plenty of evidence that there's a range of positions on Trump, Biden, and contemporary US politics in general on the part of his opponents, but it's easier for him to just dismiss all opposition as deluded, insular, and hypocritical. Meanwhile, he himself is completely stewed in right wing media, and shows no ability at all to read mainstream media as anything but a wall of 24/7 conspiracy to defeat the right and suppress its values by any means necessary. He seems completely unaware, for instance, that the left has had its own sophisticated critique of mainstream liberal media for literally decades now (e.g. Chomsky, Herman and their "media filters" concept).
This guys is a another great example of the always-dialed-up-to-11, very online, American right at the moment-- the former being a state of frenzy it can ONLY sustain online, BTW.
By this time, with Trump facing actual criminal conviction before he has chance to secure the GOP nomination, you'd think we'd being seeing more of a public manifestation of the rage of someone like this adult-in-his-room-somewhere. I think he's actually envious of the overwhelmingly peaceful and disciplined, real life public protests that BLM and other groups were able to muster in the summer of 2020. His side will no doubt produce more online rage, along with a steady trickle of deranged "screw the talk, I'm going in" mass shooter types before this is all over, but you will never see mass, public, in-the-streets, support for Trump and all he represents.
What they're waiting for is someone at the top to destroy liberal democracy so that they can use state power to shove their vision of American down their opponent's throats. They know they are a small minority when push comes to shove, and a minority that will be buried if it ever provokes the majority into unifying to stop them. Right now, the legal system has been more the sufficient to curb the worst of them, but if they ever got sophisticated enough to start seriously subverting US civic institutions, they would awaken mass protests that would make 2020 look like a Sunday stroll. The capacity for this is still present in the country's DNA, lest they forget.
