Never forget that there was a coup attempt and the Republican Party supported it and still supports it. They are not small d democrats anymore. They are monarchists, autocrats or whatever. Basic African style strongmen.
CNN — Former President Donald Trumprepeatedly told aides in the days following his 2020 election loss that he would remain in the White House rather than let incoming President Joe Biden take over, according to reporting provided to CNN from a forthcoming book by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman. “I’m just not going to leave,” Trump told one aide, according to Haberman. “We’re never leaving,” Trump told another. “How can you leave when you won an election?”

I know that the question and assertion don't deserve a reply, but....
Let me just START to quantify it for you: Who still supports it? Every single R who cheered about Liz Cheney losing her primary ONLY - I repeat ONLY - because she stood up to Trump about the election and 6 Jan. And what's that, 80-90% of the R party?
Don't ask stupid f***** that you know the answer to.
My god, is it really THAT hard for you guys to come to really, really obvious conclusions about Trump and the current R party without being "afraid" that it's just "liberal brainwashing"? You've been SO talked into overwhelming liberal media bias that you don't believe the news when they tell you it's raining....when you're standing there soaking wet. It's interesting, but intellectually, you literally look JUST as stupid as someone who would do that.
anyway, a nation at full employment, with a plunging deficit, with strengthened allies around the world, with a very strong dollar and zero scandals in the WH is hardly an abject failure.
"Plunging deficit"?
When Joe Biden took office, the CBO estimated the 10 year deficit was $12.2 trillion. Today, their projection is $15.7 trillion. Can you explain how that's possible with a "plunging deficit"? How'd that happen?
And that's assuming the new spending in the IRA doesn't get renewed after 5 years, AND it doesn't even count the new $1T student loan program if it doesn't get struck down.
This is just dishonesty working on stupid people.
A $1 trillion deficit used to be a big deal. In all of human history only Obama managed to rack up a trillion dollar deficit. He did it 4 years in a row from 2009-2012.
Trump racked up a $3.1 trillion deficit in 2020 with the COVID bail out.
Biden's deficit in 2021 was $2.7 trillion.
Because Joe is dishonest and he knows his voters are morons he's running around bragging about reducing the deficit.
Only really stupid people think a $2.7 TRILLION deficit is something to brag about.
Which of those 9 things do you predict he is going to be indicted for today 9/12/2022?
Flagpole spent 5 years saying Mueller will bring him down. THEN he spend many months saying the first impeachment would bring him down. THEN he spend many months saying impeachment 2 would bring him down. THEN he spent many months saying the Jan 6 hearings would bring him down. None of that stuff panned out. So NOW Flagpole is saying the Mar--a-Lago stuff willl bring him down.
Flagpole please stop!!! Your humor is incredible!
Nah.
1) Mueller's work is still being done.
2) I never said either impeachment would result in a conviction.
3) I have never said anything about how the Jan. 6 hearings would bring him down, but you do celebrate WAY too early there. They aren't over, and the hearings can't bring him down anyway, at least not directly...that's all up to the DOJ.
4) I don't have a crystal ball about what prosecutor will have the balls to finally indict him, but I sure wouldn't want to be him with all of the grand juries, subpoenas of others in his orbit, etc. Fani Willis in GA seems pretty serious and far along, so if I were a betting man (which I'm not), I would say she might be first. The case in NY that is mostly going after his company and civil punishment could be up there. Time will tell.
5) Weird that you are rooting for him to not be charged with anything. There is no doubt that he STOLE classified (and other) documents from the US Government. If any other US citizen had done that, they would be in prison or MAYBE out on bail right now. He also concealed those documents (so obstruction) and likely destroyed or mutilated some of them. He then ignored two subpoenas to return the material. Subpoenas from the DOJ, not just The House.
6) Also weird that you expect that these things have to be done immediately or it means they won't be done at all.

The media openly works for the Democratic party.
Members of the January 6th committee have themselves contested US elections.
No one supports the 300 morons that stormed the capitol.
We reject the witch hunt that's been going on for over 6 YEARS.

Cheney didn't lose Wyoming because of Trump. She lost in Wyoming because she aligned herself with the Democratic policy makers that are severely negatively impacting her states' industries. Wyoming is all about fossil fuels, logging and ranching. Those are things that Biden has declared war on. A federal moratorium on drilling is kind of a big deal in a state where the federal government controls about 48% of the land via the BLM or the Department of Interior. Her national aspirations alienated her from constituents.
Is there a worse candidate than Joe's man in PA, John Fetterman. Looks like a bouncer and spent his life being supported by his parents. Now he is trying to keep Dr Oz out of the Senate. I love reading Agip and Flagpole's optimism right after coming home from the grocery store. I bought a bag of cat food and paid twice what I did pre-pandemic. Everything is ridiculous. I can't imagine buying a car these days. The lots look empty and you cannot get any kind of deal. There is nothing pie in the sky about the economy right now. I cannot believe that this going to help the incumbents at all. I am very pessimistic about the short term outlook.

Very few Reublicans can tell voters that the Big Lie was a hoax and still get elected. Very very few. So they support the big lie, the coup attempt, trump, all of it.
WASHINGTON — The Justice Department has issued about 40 subpoenas over the past week seeking information about the actions of former President Donald J. Trump and his associates related to the 2020 election and the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, according to people familiar with the situation. Two top Trump advisers, Boris Epshteyn and Mike Roman, had their phones seized as evidence, those people said.

1) I'm sorry you're so poor that the price of cat food bothers you.
2) If your cat food is now twice what it was, then get some different cat food. Prices for things are NOT twice what they were. Your anecdote here means nothing.
3) The automobile world is in a bit of uncertainty right now. People WANT electric vehicles, but not everyone is yet happy with the range, the battery life (as in how many years it will last), number of charging stations, variety, etc. We also have a LOT more people working from home, so fewer cars are needed, and the ones that people already own are not needed to be replaced as soon.
4) Midterm elections aren't affected by current conditions, traditionally. Midterms go to the party not in power almost exclusively. Takes an unusual event to make it not that way. Republicans were on the path to a "red wave" for the midterms, and if that happened, that would have been par for the course. BUT, we have two UNUSUAL situations now that will likely make it not quite a red wave...1) the Roe v. Wade situation has encouraged a lot of women to register to vote who never had before. Women overwhelmingly vote for liberals, and 2) Donald Trump has stepped up his criming.
5) No one is saying there is anything pie in the sky about the economy now. Low unemployment, yes, but also inflation higher than desirable. Wasn't that way for Trump either...he ended his term with fewer American jobs than when he started and handed Biden a high unemployment rate. Biden has added over 9 MILLION jobs and got the unemployment rate so low The Fed has had to raise rates to try to curtail that, and Powell said workers have "too much" leverage with regard to salary.

Sad truth. But the truth is republicans are very brainwashed
This is what happens when you don’t actually read the articles attached.
In the first article, Trump knowingly employed and stiffed a load of Polish workers in NY and that is why he settled when he was sued.
In the third article Trump commuted the sentence of a fraudster and a man who knowingly employed about 400 illegal Mexican and Guatemalan workers in Iowa.
ALWAYS read the articles and save yourself further embarrassment. Imagine being dumb enough to comment without reading the articles first 😏👋🏼
Not according to the people I know in WY. Per her voting record, Cheney didn't become less conservative; she just wasn't willing to choose Trump over the Constitution.
