The Usatf results page I've been checking has just shown the results, nothing about finalizing. What link are you seeing this on?

Who? Did he run the 200?
The men's steeplechase was shown on the west coast on tv tonight.
I watched carefully, and Bor definitely stepped on Bayer's foot, causing it to turn
sideways and it almost looked like his foot was broken, but he was able to finish.
I don't exactly understand the rules, but shouldn't that cause a DQ for Bor?

What are its origins?
I believe the steeple was added to the Olympics after XC was taken out of the Olympics. The name itself, "chasing the steeple" is borrowed from horse racing when Englishmen would race over hill and dale from one church steeple to another.
Not quite. The name originated in fox hunting. A fox is released into the fields, then chased by hounds and riders on horses. The hunt itself was called "the chase". Eventually, in 1752, to settle a bet, two Irish horsemen decided to simply race over the countryside from point-to-point, jumping over fences, hedgerows and creeks, using Churches steeples for visual orientation. By the 1790s organized multihorse races were being conducted, this is the earliest known reference for the name "steeplechase" (1793). The natural progression was to lay out a course in front of grandstands to the people could view the races. This continues to today.
One day in 1860 someone at Oxford decided it would be fun for humans to run the steeplechase over cross country. By 1865 it became a track event, and has been included in the modern Olympics since it's start.
In one of the great coincidences of all time, Chick Hislop of Weber State, who, as a coach, specialized in the steeplechase, shares the same surname as steeplechase horse racing historian John Hislop.
Good info. Have you ever considered becoming a commentator for NCAA telecasts?

It was Kebenei who stepped on Bayer's heel as Bayer moved in front of him at the 7:54 mark of the race.
Bor was passing to Bayer's outside and did not touch him.
So where did Tomy Dungy go to college? I forgot.
When facts are so important, they should tell the viewer more than once.

Please post photos or a video if you have them.
He went to Minnesota so when they mentioned that Ben Blankenship went to Minnesota they obviously had to make a connection...

Freeze it at 7:55.1 race time and you'll see Bayer stumbling with Kebenei behind him and Bor to his outside.
