Oh, no, not that! Which ones?
I am skipping my damn run today. I'm tired and sick of running today.
I managed 45 minutes of easy running before the hip starting complaining. Thus, I will be running about 30 minutes tonight. I'll keep the daily strength/stretch regime given by my PT.
Oh...3300 yards in the pool this morning. :)

Hip thing too huh?

2 miles, carefully, testing the right knee. Seems OK, I'll know after tomorrow.
75 minutes today. Felt great, just ran and explored.
Took Sunday off. Monday did 80' on trails.
I continue to enjoy reading all of the positive posts on this terrific thread. Thanks to all of you who have offered your daily training for us to see.
Yesterday I actually tried some faster stuff. I did the usual 20' warmup with dynamic exercises, then followed with 6 x 400 @ 120% vVO2max with 2' active recovery. This was tough and my last two efforts deteriorated quite a bit. Clearly I need some work in this area. 20' cooldown followed and then a great massage (I'll spare you the details so that you-know-who doesn't get overly excited -- ha ha!).
Keep up the good work, everyone!
"Hip thing too huh?"
Yup. I just read the other thread about the psoas muscle. It's confused me even more. :)
For today (not as detailed as other folks):
25 minutes easy run. 60 minutes easy bike ride.
core exercises per PT.
My hip problem involves the piriformis, had this for years now, not a damn thing seems to have helped...well maybe a friend suggests this Ceragem thing. Here's link in case any one here is interested:http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=ceragem&meta=Run today, generally a recovery run for 44:07 AHR 131. Included some surges last mile & 1/2 or so.============================================================

O please! Give us all the details. We all (2-3 of us and 5 aliases for RD/Andrew Skujins) REALLY WANT TO KNOW about your unique coach/athlete relationship.
120%vVO2 max for 400s. ??? O really?
RD told us in part 1 that he averaged 2:05 for 8x800m.
(He'll now deny it, after he, a non-runner, eventually realized exactly what he had posted, and knowing that a) we have short memories, and b) it is deleted now.)
I wonder how fast the 400s were. Even at 66sec pace being 100%vVo2, 120% = 55sec.
But we know they were faster than that, don't we? :o)
Please, RD, tell how many seconds those 400s were. IT'S A SIMPLE QUESTION. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW YOU AVOID DIRECTLY ANSWERING IT, but amuse us anyway.
And, while we are in the mood for amusement, please tell us why you do 6x400 at the end of Oct.
We REALLY WANT TO KNOW.
Not holding my breath,
Spuj
30:00 on exercise bike. It's getting dark out where I live and the motorcyclists are getting their last loud runs in.
Happily a local cop set up a speed trap on my street. I hope he nabs the two bikers who went roaring around me illegally & dangerously two weeks ago.
I'm more interested in seeing a snapshot of his coach! She couldn't be any more prettier than me :)

Why would that be deleted? Seriously.
ha ha! I knew he wouldn't be able to resist. Some things are just so predictable.
Yesterday; recovery run of about 45' with some light lifting afterward. (No massage, Skuj, so you'll have find some other way to get your jollies today.)
Let's keep those positive posts coming! We've got one of the best threads going! Thanks!
