After every regional, Jonathan Gault will be running Bo Waggoner's program to see who is in and out. He'll post the results on the live blog on the front page: https://www.letsrun.com/events...

Didn't look like Valby was working as hard today as at Nuttycombe or SEC, but nobody knows except her. We can now predict Alabama natls strategy: stay 10 secs back, then try to run her down.
I was thinking the same....the longer people stick with Valby the more she steps on the gas but if you lay back a little she might not push quite as hard and if you can then accellerate I don't think she hast the fastest finish
Nonetheless, at this point in time, it appears one will need to be in 15min (or sub-15) shape to contend…and she might overstep.
This is why Tuohy might want to hang back a bit and watch the Bama duo press Valby and burn each other out. But Bama’s highest team placement would probably be better served hanging with Tuohy.

Other regions? REALLY? How hard is it? What in the literal f*ck? Example: Southeast Region: You KNOW you have the top women’s team potentially in the country, with the returning Individual NCAA Women’s Champion, and you don’t cover your region’s event? Shame, shame, shame.

Wish they could at least offer a janky drone stream on Youtube or something.

The real drama out West came farther down the results. Oregon State women were projected to finish 4th in the region and qualify at-large. But OSU had an awful day and finished 9th. That opened up an extra at-large spot, which goes to...Harvard. That means there were two differences from our pre-regional projections. One is that Boston College surprisingly auto-qualified in the Northeast. That meant Harvard needed an at-large spot, and they took the one that would have gone to Oregon State. The other surprise was Texas A&M taking 2nd in the South Central instead of Tulane. That means the Aggie women are going dancing for the first time in 23 years.
Full field below. Remember, these are unofficial projections based on Bo Waggoner's computer program -- which has traditionally been very accurate:
Notre Dame Wisconsin Georgetown Penn State Oklahoma State Iowa State Northern Arizona BYU Syracuse Boston College Tennessee Florida Arkansas Texas A&M NC State Furman Stanford Oregon Washington Michigan State Virginia CBU Ole Miss Alabama Lipscomb Utah Colorado Utah Valley Colorado St. Providence Harvard
Oregon State misses out with 14 points Here's the output for the final at-large spot on the women's side from Bo's program. Oregon State had 14 points -- an enormous number -- but because they finished so far down the field at the West Regional (9th), they were blocked by a bunch of teams without points and won't be going to NCAAs.
Teams under consideration by points: 4 Harvard 1 Michigan, New Mexico, Penn, Wake Forest 0 LSU, Gonzaga, Georgia Tech, Northwestern Others with points: Oregon State (14), North Carolina (3), UCLA (2), Duke (2), Portland (2), Columbia (1), Boston University (1), Connecticut (1), SMU (1), Ohio State (1) 31: Harvard (#4 Northeast) is selected, has losses to (Nuttycombe Invite) Oregon State; Published: 11/10/2023 01:39pm Copy LinkEditDelete 24 minutes ago Women FINAL projections Stanford has topped Oregon at the West regional which means all nine regionals are complete.
Butler clearly came out mad today. Wisconsin will need to regroup for Nats if they want to try to sneak into a 3rd on the podium. Their 4/5 didn't even run too poorly time wise, just Butler coming out hot this race.
