I knew FM's boys were going to be weak this year, but wow...
Having not many people on the team can be kind of tricky sometimes.
Only 12 guys in total... hard to make any sort of team out of that.

Speed ratings are gonna be interesting. If they’re the same as last year Fairport will be 188, 182, 179, 175, 173…I doubt that will be the case but still, a big performance from them. Did they revert to the original course? The times look much more in line with pre-COVID results, before they altered the course. If so, would probably be looking at a 5-point drop to 183, 177, 174, 170, 168…still honestly a lot better than any New York team was expected to be this year. Auburn, Saratoga, and Ithaca also looking strong. I’d favor Saratoga in November based on history.
Last track season Saratoga had 5 nonsenior boys 4:30 in the 1600 or faster (which is really good), so they are probably working on translating that to XC.
I know that 1600 isn’t the best way to determine 5k times on the grass, but where do teams with 5 guys who have run under 4:30 in the 1600 typically finish at NXN?

Looks like they fixed their 5th runner issue. What the heck is up with Cornfield this season though. All over the place. Their 1-5 spread went from almost 2 minutes at McQuaid to 30 seconds here.

12?
I thought it was 9 per gender. The girls team is actually doing really well for that size though. Lots of time to improve between now and NXR. FM is good at making improvements within the season
Bethlehem girls
Tough to read much into dual meet results. So many teams tempo them or hold out their top runners.
If you were to score Class A girls as a race based on their TullyRunners rankings right now, the results would be:
Bethlehem - 111
Saratoga - 120
FM - 167

And Bethlehem isn’t graduating anyone either. FM girls team returns 4 of their top 5.
Saratoga is losing 3 scorers
