I'll wait to see how Chris Rock responds to this lame ass apology before I make any final decisions about it. He acted like a child. He says he's a "work in progress." Well, a 53-year-old man should be further along in his progress than to behave like that.
If Chris Rock actually accepts his apology and forgives him, then I may be able to, but we'll see. If Chris Rock just says something like "we should just all move on," then that's not really forgiveness.
Even if I decide Will Smith is sincere with his apology, I will never look at him the same way again. He's one of the best actors to ever be on a television show. I posted his monologue from his Fresh Prince of Bel Aire show here once upon a time about him being upset that his father didn't want to spend time with him. It's truly one of the best pieces of acting that has ever been on the small screen. It's a shame he had to be such an a$$hole. I completely disrespect him now.
He's not the first famous person to lose my respect, and he won't be the last.
Bill Clinton
Bill Cosby
Alec Baldwin (from his many boorish behavior episodes, not the shooting thing)
