Remember reschmember. A few of you morons have said in the past that I said that. That may be what you are remembering. I never did. Go find the post. That's really all that can prove you right here. Go find it. I can find stuff I said in 2001. Go find it. It doesn't exist.
Also, not sure what a "long period of time" is, but like I said, it wasn't that interesting for a while after Trump took office. It only became interesting later on when his incompetence (that I did NOT expect) became apparent.
But again, my time off from the board here and there means nothing. You said I stated I would leave if Trump won. I didn't say that. Go prove me wrong. I have always said that I NEVER lie, so if you find it, you will prove me wrong. I have already challenged you, and you haven't found it yet.
I'll give you a hint...it's right next to the snipe.
It's a bit early for that bold prediction though. As we sit here today, Trump is STILL the odds-on favorite to be the GOP nominee, and he already has lost two popular national votes and already lost to Biden big time. We will be out of the shallow recession we are in next quarter, and while it is possible we might have another one, it is unlikely (statistically) to have yet another one in the election year, and that bodes well for Biden (or even the Democrats no matter who the candidate is). It's tough to beat an incumbent, and when the incumbent has had a lot of policy victories (and he has...just not ones you like) and a military victory (taking out Ayman al-Zawahiri), a recession is really necessary to give the opposing party a chance. While Trump DID have a recession in the election year, and that WAS a strike against him, his radical behavior threw traditional voting patterns out the window.
So, who knows. If he's not re-elected, it won't be due to any fantasy of yours about how everyone knows he has dementia or any of that nonsense. He's a traditional politician who will be treated as traditional politicians are...EXCEPT for what may happen if Trump is the opponent, because that will encourage even more people to come out and vote for Biden (which will really be a vote AGAINST Trump as it was in 2020).
More than you deserve from me, but I had a moment of feeling charitable.
Inflation remains a thing even if you're too stupid to comprehend it.
Dude, what's with this strawman? I never said anything about inflation nor dismissed it or anything of the sort.
YOU said the Dow was at 5,000 in 1974, and it wasn't just an off-hand remark, you brought that up to try to show that I was stupid.
That was one of the dumbest things ever said on these message boards, and again, with Sally around, that's saying something.
You shan't recover from such a stupid comment. I'll be sure to remind you of it when you have the audacity to call me stupid in the future.
You lost this point dude. Tuck your tail. Lick your wounds. Try to take this as a learning moment.
Ya lost.
Except the Dow literally WAS at 5,000 in 1974 when adjusted for inflation as evidenced by the link I provided above.
The value of the dow is expressed in current dollars all the time. That's not a "strawman" that's just you being stupid.
I said:
The Dow was over 5000 when Trump inherited his money in 1974. The bottom fell out of the stock market in the 70s and it didn't hit 5000 again until 1986.
Which is exactly what you see on the 100 year historical chart which is adjusted for inflation.
Interactive chart of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) stock market index for the last 100 years. Historical data is inflation-adjusted using the headline CPI and each data point represents the month-end closing value....
If you don't adjust for inflation you have no basis for comparison with today's Dow. But, you're a GD moron so I may as well be explaining this to a goldfish.
Inflation is a thing. See if you can figure out what inflation is and find out what the inflation adjusted value of the Dow was in 1974.
You are a painfully stupid person. Combined with your complete and total lack of charisma it's actually quite remarkable that you're alive and out of prison.
Bravo....You have the most creative insults I've seen...
And I told you I am not going to sign up for the Letsrun special club or whatever it is to find your comments from 6 years ago.
Surely I am not the only poster who remembers Flagpole promising to post no more if Trump won in 2016 and him actually leaving the messageboard for a long period of time when that transpired.
I am surprised he denies this.

You said it.
My memory is not defective.
Others apparently also remember you saying it.
And you admit to not posting for sometime after the election.
And are now deluding yourself with some nonsense "it wasn't that interesting for a while after Trump took office. It only became interesting later on when his incompetence (that I did NOT expect) became apparent."
As I have now stated 3 times, you need to become a member of the Letsrun supporters club in order to search someone's comments. Which I am not.
Anyone out there a member of that club and so capable of doing a search on Flagpole's coments?
INCORRECT! I have never said I would leave the message board if Trump won the election. I asked you as Carmine9 to go find it, now I ask you as your stupid self to go find it. You made the accusation, well, prove it. You can't because it's fantasy. I have never said that, you raging moron.
And I told you I am not going to sign up for the Letsrun special club or whatever it is to find your comments from 6 years ago.

You are surprised only because you think that whatever you imagine to be must be real. This trait shows in all of your posts.
Flagpole DID guarantee that Trump would lose UNLESS he cheated or something about space aliens. Flagpole claims he was right about that because Trump cheated. You can come to your own conclusion.
Flagpole DID NOT say anything at all about leaving the message board if Trump won. You simply made that up and now believe it to be so (as is the case for most of what you post).
It's a bit early for that bold prediction though. Hardly any dem candidate running for office right now is seeking his endorsement. In fact, they are running away from him. Biden is toxic and he will remain so.
Again, your TDS is showing. This is the Biden thread. STAY ON TOPIC.
You are 2/3 right. He's mean and a liar and stupid. Sorry agip, but he's stupid. Outrageously stupid.
In no way is he stupid. This man understands how people think and what makes them happy. He is able to reach people, even people who have nothing in common with him. He did it with the Apprentice and he did it as candidate and President. His knack for picking out nicknames with which to belittle his opponents is without parallel. His ability to pay back those who cross him is outstanding. Oppose him at your own risk.
Imagine telling the Founders that ~250 years later roughly 30-40% of America would be impressed by THIS in the President of the United States:
"His knack for picking out nicknames."
JFC.
Flagpole will say he's not angry. But he probably is. Like me, and millions of other Americans who have come to learn that we share what we THOUGHT was a great country with tens of millions of Americans who ACTUALLY think this way.
When it comes down to it, America can be divided into two types of people: Those who love American and those who hate America.
America -- love it, or LEAVE it. It's binary. Why don't people like you leave, Carmine? You could move to a country that you like and be happy. Just think how happy you would be in Russia, or Belarus or Iran (Persia). They would welcome you like Snowden, shower you with trinkets and balms, hand you the red carpets to the cities.
That goes for all of you America-haters. Make a list of countries you like, and move to one of them. It's a win-slam-win. You will be happy, we will be happy, and the country you move to may even be happy.
People like you are why democracies fail
Be that as it may, it doesn't answer the question as to why you don't move to a country you don't hate and one that actually like? Is it financial? Moving isn't as costly as you think, and your new home country will undoubtedly provide you will significant resources.
I can see you in Russia, Carmine. Apartment in St. Petersburg, fluorescent bulbs, galoshes, Bunsen burner, lots of official documents, access to Russian media. You'd be happy there.
In no way is he stupid. This man understands how people think and what makes them happy. He is able to reach people, even people who have nothing in common with him. Joe Biden is the embodiment of the what the founders wanted to avoid. Tyranny and corruption.
No senator with 50 years in office and ZERO accomplishments other than getting filthy rich would impress the founding fathers.
The founders would be just as disgusted by the swamp as all decent people are.

Put up or shut up. You can use Google to find anything you want. You don't have to be a Letsrun supporter to find it.
Also, dude, I post here only on topics that interest me and when it's interesting. I used to post a lot on the Dow thread until I became independently wealthy, so the daily or even once in a while dealings of the Dow don't interest me anymore, so I don't post there often...actually hardly at all. I have more money than a person needs, so why bother?
Same was true with the Trump thread. It was interesting leading up to the election, but then no matter who won, it would have become uninteresting, and had Trump been a regular Republican, it would have become uninteresting until the next election cycle. BUT, it became clear pretty soon after he was elected that his Presidency was going to be a sh!t show. I know it's hard for you to understand this, but I'm not a rabid fan of any politician. Other than family members, I'm only a HUGE fan of three people in the history of the world:
Jimmy Carter (for post-President stuff)
Fred Rogers (because he was what a Christian should be)
Dolly Parton (because she is one of the best/kindest/most charitable celebrities ever)
So, I don't hang on every word or action of a politician UNLESS they are doing bad things...took a while before Trump was consistently doing bad things in office, and when that was clear, I came back and posted.
Anyway, the onus is on you. You made the accusation. Prove it. Again, use Google. You can't find it. Your memory is incorrect. I challenge ANY of you to find a post of mine where I said I would leave for good if Trump won in 2016. Didn't happen. That's akin to gambling, and gambling is low class which is why I don't do it (other than in some extremely rare and far between circumstances).
Biden said that denying election results is an unacceptable threat to democracy. But KJP Tweeted Trump stole the 2016 election and Brian Kemp stole the Georgia governor’s selection. @pdoocy brings the heat. Enjoy: pic.twitter.com/W61ln5QYnB

It's fitting that you would be a big fan of an election denier like Jimmy Carter.

Your post reminds one of a silver lining of the R's subservience to Trump, namely, the fact that they're hurting their own causes by keeping him as their leader. Most any other R wouldn't have scared millions of Americans into voting against the R presidential nominee and now against many other Rs. And as it should be.
And you admit to not posting for sometime after the election.

How fun that all 3 of those people would hate you if they came across you online.
In no way is he stupid. This man understands how people think and what makes them happy. He is able to reach people, even people who have nothing in common with him. Flagpole will say he's not angry. But he probably is. Like me, and millions of other Americans who have come to learn that we share what we THOUGHT was a great country with tens of millions of Americans who ACTUALLY think this way.
Well, I don't get angry about pretty much anything, so I'm not angry about Trumpers or anything.
What Trump has done for me:
1) SURPRISED me that people could be so stupid. I have long known that most Americans aren't educated and don't know much about the world in general, but the level of stupidity, of delusion, has greatly surprised me. It hasn't been lost on me that I am surrounded by highly educated people...my family, my friends, people I have worked with in the past, and I THOUGHT I had taken all of that into account when trying to understand how many truly ignorant and stupid people there were out there, but I underestimated.
2) DISAPPOINTED me. In addition to being surprised, it is disappointing to know that there are so many Americans who could be so dumb that they believe the election was stolen, that they believe the Qanon nonsense, that they believe Donald Trump is a patriot or a good businessman or someone to be admired by people who call themselves "Christians." To be fair, up to and including immediately after the 2016 election, I too was under the mistaken impression that Trump was a good businessman, because he was good at selling that image...but then we learned the truth about him. Smart people learn. I learned that he wasn't a good businessman. Dumb people cling to the idea that he's a great businessman. He's not.
So, about Trump and Trumpers, I have been surprised and disappointed, but not angry. I don't get angry pretty much ever and can't remember the last time I was angry. Now, if Trump or anyone else takes over our country by force, that would make me angry, so there ARE things that could do it, and so Trump TRIED to do something that would have made me angry, but he didn't succeed, so it's just surprise and disappointment.
