Biden is laser focused on the middle class. We will have folks stuck paying $10,000 college debt who either never went to college or already paid off their loans, the "inflation reduction" act that is going to raise taxes on anyone making over $30,000 per year and 87,000 new IRS armed agents to go after working class citizens. Yeah, baby!
It can easily get bigger. Democrats openly push for this.
That is untrue...well, it could get bigger, but Democrats do not push for a bigger government...just flat BS right-wing nonsense. Again, if we're talking spending, Republicans have a worse track record back to FDR than Democrats. You are just ignorant.
I see you got tired of me ignoring you when you were posting as the Southern Ill. guy.
More than 60 cents of every dollar the US government spends is for entitlements created by Democrats.
Even if a Republican is president. More than 60 cents of every dollar the government spends is for entitlements created by Democrats.
Are you actually not smart enough to understand this or are you just being dishonest?
They retrieved the classified items due to the nature in which they were stored. Similar to how they moved tens of thousands of classified and top secret documents from Obama's place in Chicago two years after he left office due to the nature in which they were stored.
Still not sure why they seized articles of clothing from Melania's wardrobe.
NOPE!
Wow you are such a loser and stupid.
There is nothing similar at all between this and anything Obama sent to his Presidential Library.
Trump is in BIG trouble.
He STOLE this stuff...NONE OF IT BELONGS TO HIM.
He and his lawyers gave some of it back initially when asked.
He and his lawyers said it was all of it.
When it was discovered that no, he didn't return it all, he was subpoenaed for the rest of it.
When he IGNORED THE FIRST SUBPOEANA, they issued a second one.
When he IGNORED THE SECOND SUBPOEANA, they sought and served a search warrant.
IF Trump had made an innocent mistake in taking that stuff, then he would have (if he were a reasonable person) returned it all initially...and with an apology. Instead, he lied, he concealed, and there is the possibility that he destroyed some documents.

Meh. Sorry, but Social Security and Medicare are two of the biggest and best things this country ever did for Americans. I reject your nonsense.
This is sort of like comparing your sales department to your IT department. Sure, sales brings in all the money, but unless you spend the appropriate amount on IT infrastructure, the company will collapse in the inefficiency of a tech deficit.
I'm saying that the engine of capitalism can run even stronger if we focus on the middle class as opposed to the corporations and ultra rich.

Well, the college debt thing doesn't quite work that way, and you're wrong about the taxes and IRS agents (I mean of course you are wrong).
HOWEVER, in the spirit of being agreeable (I always am when someone gets even a sliver of something right), the college loan forgiveness thing is a bad idea, and I do not support it. Still, it's a MINOR issue. Not like the issue of having a criminal despot be the leader of the GOP. So, you get a candidate who isn't amoral, who isn't criminal, who doesn't try to take power illegally, then we can discuss policy merits. Until then, anything you bring up about Democrats is just deflection noise.

LOL! Thanks for admitting you've been lying about spending this whole time.
Also, Social Security is a ponzi scheme. Stupid people no longer save for retirement because they think SS is a retirement plan. It's also defunct and pays out less than you put in.
Medicare is one of the reasons it costs $500 for a bandaid through medical insurance.
Having good intentions while making the problems you think you're fixing WORSE doesn't make you a good person.
I haven't saw the speech yet. I did see some articles and they talked about an angry politician yelling about a rival political party in front of a red back drop, so I did a google search and this is what I found:
Nazi leader Adolf Hitler is seen giving a speech in Essen, Germany at the Krupp Factory 3 years before World War II broke out in this archive footage from 19...

Joe Biden illegally usurped the authority to spend a trillion dollars of taxpayer money to pay off student loans. If that is "just noise" to you then you are in no position to lecture us about who is authoritarian.
BREAKING: Former NYPD Officer Thomas Webster sentenced to 10 YEARS in federal prison. A new Jan. 6 record.
Thomas Webster is not going to last 3 weeks in federal prison. It was all over for him, the day he answered the call to arms. That's what Biden was saying last evening. "You come after us heavy, we're coming back at you even heavier with all the resources at our disposal. We will bury you."
The Trump movement can start expecting retaliation and counter-attacks. The Dems will not allow any more attacks to go unavenged. It's going to be a long, ugly struggle and who knows who ultimately prevails? All we know now from Biden's speech is that it will be just as costly to the Trump movement as it is to the Dems, if not more so.
Ken Griffin spent millions to defeat a tax increase in Illinois and then moved his company anyways. Money in politics is a major problem, but I don't think smaller government solves that. I think smaller government will just act as an extension of the corporations and banks unless anti-money in politics legislation is enacted.
A smaller government with anti-money in politics legislation is better than a big government with the same legislation.
There will never be an incentive to be fiscally responsible with other people's monopoly money.
Government will ALWAYS be inefficient and wasteful.
But like your IT department, it's necessary and not something you should cut corners on.
I think a government has to be powerful enough to take actions on things like climate change. Let's say that 80% of us believe it's real and that we need to do something. Can we force the 20% to reduce emissions with us?
...the "inflation reduction" act that is going to raise taxes on anyone making over $30,000 per year [false] and 87,000 new IRS armed agents [false] to go after working class citizens [false].
I actually kind of admire your efficiency in packing so much falsehood in just part of one sentence.

What if the 80% are wrong?
We're currently trying to overhaul the global economy despite the science saying the changes we're making won't prevent anything.
We're $30 TRILLION in debt.
The government's spending 4-6 TRILLION every year and we're not getting even remotely close to 4-6 TRILLION in value.
You don't use Amazon? You don't have an i-phone? Never used Windows? Never been to Wal-Mart?
The only people getting filthy rich in America without having to put in any actual work while providing little or no benefit to anyone are politicians.
The dark red background used by Biden was purposeful and impactful, and complaints like Portnoy's (see what I did there?) are proof of that. Biden was letting the leaders of the Trump movement know that Dems will not be afraid to let blood flow on the streets of America.
Biden announced asymmetric warfare last night, and the Trump movement leadership is feeling the pressure. They know that the Dems have more systemic resources to conduct this war than the Trumpers do. Blood is going to flow both ways. The blood level has been elevated. I think most of us knew Biden's declaration was coming, except a lot of you in this thread who seem perplexed by it. Like you haven't been paying attention to the increasing violence, advancing darkness and brutal crackdowns since January 6, 2021. Biden's blood red background appears to have been an eye opener for many of you.
Everyone who works closely with United States President Donald Trump has a lot of things to say about him. One insider, a former staffer on The Celebrity Apprentice, reveals some details about the president that many may...

Dark Brandon ain’t playing:
“I will not stand by and watch — I will not — the will of the American people be overturned by wild conspiracy theories and baseless evidence-free claims of fraud.
I will not stand by and watch elections in this country stolen by people who simply refuse to accept that they lost.
I will not stand by and watch the most fundamental freedom in this country, the freedom to vote and have your vote counted, and be taken from you and the American people.
Look, as your president, I will defend our democracy with every fiber of my being, and I’m asking every American to join me.”
