Division is literally the go to campaign strategy of Democrats and has been for decades.
Poor vs rich.
white vs black.
gay vs straight.
All Democrats do is division.
That's certainly one interpretation. Poor vs rich is certainly one I agree with. The other two are silly and non-representative of the party position. We are for white AND black, gay AND straight.
I believe you believe that. But nothing the Democratic party actually does shows that.
The soft bigotry of low expectations is alive and well in the Democratic party.
the economy was locked down during the Trump administration.
And let me repeat with bold:
-5.8 million jobs have added over the past year -Employment is now 240,000 higher than pre-pandemic -Men have fully recovered all job losses from pandemic. (Women are close, but still ~264,000 off) -Manufacturing added 461,000 jobs in past year
Labor force participation still hasn't returned to 2020 levels.
getting closer. By this similar measure we have exceeded pre-pandemic.
Tough with an aging, unhealthy, astonishingly rich population.
Skanda Amarnath ( Neoliberal Sellout ) @IrvingSwisher BOOM! 80.3% Prime-Age Employment Population Ratio in August, now on par with 2019Q4 levels!
(The employment-to-population ratio, also known as the “employment-population ratio,” is a macroeconomic statistic that measures the civilian labor force currently employed against the total working-age population of a region, municipality, or country. It is viewed as a broad metric of labor unemployment.)
It is the genuine belief of most conservatives that the left/Democrats are causing the division in America.
Most conservatives (who remain) are idiots.
Is that all you have ... name-calling and insults? In general, people insult others because they are insecure and immature. Anger generally intensifies the situation.
I also think most Americans are tired of it, but "most Americans" is not what he needs. He needs "most registered Republican voters," which is way easier. You'd probably be better off figuring out how to get people to vote for DeSantis than you are arguing against liberals who will never agree with you.
The only one who can prevent Trump from running is Trump. If he knew what was good for him he would hand the torch to DeSantis and let DeSantis clean out the obvious rot in the swamp. His ego won't let him do this.
Trump's awful. Democrats are much much worse.
I'm a libertarian and I wouldn't vote for a Democrat at this point even if you put a gun to my head.
Our fundamental disagreements have way more to do with money, taxes, government responsibility, etc. than anything else. I would never vote for tax cuts. You would never vote for a tax increase. It just so happens that the years and years of anti-government anti-institution sentiment sowed into our discourse by the corporate conservatives is now backfiring with DJT and I do get some enjoyment out of that.
TRUMP: I demand we nullify the results of the last election and that I be reinstated as president effective immediately
BIDEN: See, that’s the type of thing a dictator would say
MEDIA: Biden Abandons Pledge of ‘Unity'
Of course, it's even an increment worse than that, because he's missing a second and key Trump(/R Party) statement: "If you don't agree with the first Trump statement/bald face lie, we denigrate you and banish you from the party."
Hey du** f** Trumpers, you're supporting an anti-democracy party. Pure and simple. As far from "patriots" as one could get.
Well, UNLESS you were ALSO hoarding national security info at your private residence for unknown reasons. Oh, wait.......
In general, people insult others because they are insecure and immature. Anger generally intensifies the situation.
Almost no conservatives support what happened on January 6th but…the Joetato administration deliberately not enforcing the democratically enacted laws of this country is not destroying democracy?
A vote for Trump in 2024 is a vote in support of what happened on Jan 6th. We'll see how many support it soon enough.
True. I do not BELIEVE Trump will still be on the ballot come election day...if he were to get the GOP nomination, but I am not concerned about him being elected ever again, because he won't be.
He's in deep, deep trouble this time (cue calls from idiot Trumpers that liberals have always said that...pffft!). It's clear that justice is being served on insurrectionists. The idiot who just got 10 years would have gotten less time if he had pled guilty and/or not said stupid sh!t during the trial.
Trump is likely going to go down first EITHER for his stealing, concealing, and likely destroying of classified and top secret documents, OR his criminal behavior with regard to election interference in Georgia. The former has a clear path to his indictment and conviction, and what he did there is SOOOO egregious and provable that the DOJ will not have a choice but to indict him.
Once he is convicted in either of the two mentioned cases, it will just make it that much easier for prosecutors to decide to go after him for his other nonsense...Jan. 6, and of his other tax and fraud nonsense, etc. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out. As always, I hope for him a LONG life.
I believe he will lose almost all of his net worth, but if he spends most or all of the rest of his life in prison it won't REALLY matter. I do wonder what income he will be allowed to keep.
His pension from being President is $221,400 per year. He gets an annual pension from the Screen Actors Guild of anywhere from $77,000 to $110,000 according to some reports. He also gets about $9,000 annually from the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Will be interesting.

Only problem being the labor force participation was ticking UPWARDS pre-pandemic.
This might be the post with the least self-awareness of all of this clown's posts.
Again, they genuinely believe the Democrats caused the division. Gay marriage gets "passed" and suddenly it's a battle between sexual identities.
That was the entire Dim strategy starting in 2016. Make Trump unelectable with fake investigations, conspiracy theories and misinformation. Then you nominate a dementia patient that you hide in his basement so voters don’t know. And then when it’s mission accomplished pretend like it was a “free and fair election”. You may be fooled but I’m not.
The gay marriage comment is a deflection from the reality.

The fact that the country is $30 TRILLION in debt would suggest you're on the wrong track.
We don't have a taxation problem we have a spending problem. If you give the government money it will spend it and then some. Every time.
Voting for people who don't understand this universal truth baffles me.
America was literally founded on being anti-government. This sentiment didn't come from "corporate conservatives" it came from the founding fathers.
That's certainly one interpretation. Poor vs rich is certainly one I agree with. The other two are silly and non-representative of the party position. We are for white AND black, gay AND straight.

Race is a tough one, but I am certain the Democrats have their hearts in the right place. They at least listen to and represent minorities. There's a lot to figure out but the messaging isn't divisive at least to me. I don't think Republicans lying about voting to stop black people from voting for the Democrats is really the right message either.
Of course, it's even an increment worse than that, because he's missing a second and key Trump(/R Party) statement: "If you don't agree with the first Trump statement/bald face lie, we denigrate you and banish you from the party."

The TDS morons were infected long before November 2020.
My translation of this: The "TDS morons" saw Trump for what he so clearly is LONG before Nov20.
In a "great" country, Trump would have been seen by EVERYONE as thoroughly unfit for office long, long before Nov20 or Jan21.
getting closer. By this similar measure we have exceeded pre-pandemic.

It was after 8 years of mostly declining under O. And agip should look at the data by age group because the LFPR has been going up for most, if not all, age groups over 55. They are staying in the workforce longer while the numbers participating under 55 were declining.
Again, they genuinely believe the Democrats caused the division. Gay marriage gets "passed" and suddenly it's a battle between sexual identities.
It's almost like you're wholly unaware of history.
The Democrats founded the KKK... Robert Byrd was a Democrat senator until 2010 and he was openly using the N word in interviews as late as 2001.
Both Hillary and Bill Clinton described him as a mentor. Joe Biden gave the eulogy at his funeral.
The idea that Democrats were always pro-gay marriage is laughable.
Intersectionality is WHOLLY of the left. Only Democrats think people should be reduced to the color of tseheir skin or their sexuality.
Byrd was the Exalted Cyclops of the klan. He was not just a democrat senator but was the Senate majority leader for many years. In four separate terms as president pro tempore, Byrd stood third in the line of presidential succession. Democrats in Congress worshipped him.
Is that all you have ... name-calling and insults? In general, people insult others because they are insecure and immature. Anger generally intensifies the situation.
Your amateur psychology is as poor as your logic and honesty.

Not even bringing up the abundant evidence that disputes your first sentence…good intentions are vastly overrated. The Dim party should adopt that as their mantra. And in regard to how this applies to minorities…your party undeniably owns what’s happening in inner city America. After 50-60 years and 3 or so generations of one party rule, it’s your responsibility.

"It's clear that justice is being served on insurrectionists."
If it's clear that justice is being served on insurrectionists, why did the Jan. 6 Congressional hearings fizzle out? Fat Hurts insisted they would resume in Sept. but I checked the schedule - and nothing! You Libs were insisting for months that the hearings would be the end of Trump but what happened to them? The media was going crazy during the hearings. Fat Hurts was doing play-by-play daily here What happened? Where did they go???
