In Clinton's last year in office the SP500 fell 9%. That's not a crash. It's just noise.
whereas
In Bush's first year it fell 12%
In Bush's second year it fell 22%.
I'm not prepared to say that Clinton's 9% drop in the SP500 was the 'dot com crash' and I'm not sure why you are either.
Most of it happened under Bush2's watch.
The Dotcom bubble popped in March 2000. Everyone considers that the beginning of the Dotcom crash.
Look at the NASDAQ not the S&P 500.
Now what does Bush have to do with it?
I was using 'dot com crash' as shorthand for the general stock market halving of 2000-2003and accompanying recession. I didn't mean 'tech stocks only' but I can see why you would think that. I'll try to use more precise language.

There's nothing wrong with the language "Dotcom crash." What I want to know is what your complaint is here. You're complaining that Bush didn't re-inflate the Dotcom bubble?
that said, if we are talking just tech stocks, more of that happened under Clinton.
clinton's last year: -37%
Bush's first year: -33%
Bush's second year: -38%
So again, most of it happened on Bush's watch but it was well underway in Clinton's last year sure.
The bubble inflated under Clinton. So let's take your argument further. Are you saying it's a bad thing that Bush didn't re-inflate the Dotcom bubble?
nah but the Sp500 falling for two MORE years at ever-increasing speed under his watch was pretty bad. Not all his fault, sure. 911. But two years is a long time. Very very rare for the market to fall three years in a row. You have to go back to the Great Depression to find that.

How is it his fault whatsoever? It was all driven by the bursting of the Dotcom bubble. Which happened before he was President.
Trump just said that the 2020 election should be nullified and reheld.
because hunter biden something or other.
this is the frontrunner to get the R nominee for president. The same guy under half a dozen criminal investigations.
One of the most unamerican citizens we've ever seen and that's what the 'conservative' Republicans want more than anything. More of that.
Just flat insanity. I admit that I underestimated the stupidity of Trumpers. While support for Trump HAS gone down as I said it would after Biden won, it is SLOWER than I thought it would be.
Where I have miscalculated a couple times in my life is when I have thought that Americans in general were smarter than they turned out to be. As we sit here today, Trump would be the frontrunner for the GOP nomination in 2024.
Just evidence that those left are in a cult. Politically speaking, why would they support a guy who lost the popular vote twice and got whipped both by the popular vote and the EC vote the last time? Not only just for THOSE logical reasons, but when you add in all the legal trouble he's facing AND that he can only serve (legally) one more 4-year term, it makes absolutely NO sense. Bunch of window-lickers.
The Obama recovery was so weak that it was 7-8 years before the LFPR and wages started rising. Two terms, 8 years, and not once did the annual GDP exceed 3%. It’s literally the reason Trump was elected. Trump actually added 6M or so jobs before the pandemic and despite the already low unemployment. And wages rose the fastest they had in a decade and without the current high inflation. And the best part was wages were going up fastest, percentage wise, for the lowest earners. The wage gap was actually shrinking!
Obama's GDP per year: 2009: -2.5% - Coming out of the Bush Great Recession 2010: +2.6% 2011: +1.6% 2012: +2.2% 2013: +1.8% 2014: +2.5% 2015: +3.1% - ABOVE 3%, so you were WRONG! 2016: +1.7%
Trump won because it was a change election and Hillary is not likeable. Also TRUE is that Trump cheated by committing FELONY campaign finance law violations...the same thing that sent Michael Cohen to prison.
Trump's GDP averaged 0.7% in his 4 years in office. He is the first President since Hoover to leave office with fewer American jobs than when he began. GDP Growth under Trump was lower than any of the previous 7 Presidents. More American jobs under Obama and now under Biden.
As bad as the economy was under Trump, even if he HAD been the greatest President in all ways, he made two egregious errors that a thinking rational person can not overlook:
1) He tried to overturn a fair election.
2) He STOLE classified and top secret documents (and other documents) belonging to the Federal Government, and he concealed them and refused to return them even after two subpoenas.
You are a fool to continue to support his traitorous ways.
What point is this making? Your rant about what you believe Trump did or said is evidence of some sort? You’re not going to respond to my point about how the Biden administration, with Fauci leading their response, shut down MAB use during the delta wave? I’ll give you another opportunity…the Trump travel bans that Fauci agreed saved live and Joetato said were racist?
Key words of your reply that say it all about morans like you and the bad new America many of us now realize we live in: "...what you BELIEVE [my emphasis] Trump did or said..."
As if we don't all know EXACTLY what he said, in many, many cases. Simple, actual facts. In tweets, in video, on audio. And you pretend that it's opinion. Which gives you less reason to defend it - to yourself, or others - I guess.
Again, stuff like this PROVES that you are unworthy of others' time falsely "discussing" things with you.
When you display an ounce of credibility about COVID response in general, maybe someone will bother to get farther down into the weeds with you on this Fauci action, or another. But don't hold your breath. Because you're simply not capable of it.
Oh…so no replies on MABs or the Trump travel bans. You took a lot of time and typed a lot of words here to deflect from your ignorance. You probably could have actually researched and learned something in less time.

Your stats are BS. Trump had the worst GDP of the last 7 Presidents. He is the first President since Hoover to end his term with fewer American jobs than when he started. Obama had steady growth the last 7.5 years of his Presidency (which you understand is just about all of it).
BUT, as I clearly already stated but you clearly need to be told things twice, even if Trump HAD been the best President ever, he crossed a line TWICE where reasonable thinking people should have stopped supporting him:
1) He tried to overturn a fair election.
2) He STOLE classified and top secret documents (and other documents) belonging to the Federal Government, and he concealed them and refused to return them even after two subpoenas.
You are a fool to continue to support his traitorous ways. Stop being a moron fool.

Oh, I FULLY explained my lack of interest in discussing DETAILS with you when you're just another Trumper not willing to admit the blindingly obvious OUTLINE of things. You know who DOESN'T agree that Trump badly mishandled COVID? Trumpers. No one else.
Moreover, he very likely lost the 2020 election because of it. Indirectly killed thousands of people. And likely killed his second term.
Your hero. Congratulations.
Oh, and I don't know what the f*** an MAB is, nor do I care.
His stats come directly from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis.
That right there proves that Flagpole doesn't care about actual facts. He is only going to adhere to his radical left political narrative. Any stats that don't show what he wants to show he will just call them "BS." Even those that come directly from the government. That right there is Flagpole in a nutshell. His credibility is SHOT.

As I said earlier today, Flagpole is a world class moron.
