Nobody needs protection from Russia LOL. They can't even invade their closest neighbor, let alone a huge military alliance.
Russia's only threat is to end the whole word with nuclear weapons, but it seems likely that >75% of their nukes are out of operation given how poorly their other materiel is performing.
Paper tiger.
russia has invaded and wrecked multiple countries/regions recently....chechnya, georgia, ukraine. that isn't a paper tiger. That is a very aggressive tiger that will keep fighting as long as it can.
ask finland and sweden if they think russia is a paper tiger. They are joining nato.
I have to wonder if Finland goes NATO if Putin will attack before it is official to taunt article five.

nah NATO will sign and publicize a treaty ensuring it will defend finland if attacked, effective immediately.
And Europe needs to forget cheap Russian gas and American aid and fend for themselves. Every European leader is an a-hole. Most of their citizens are too, from my experience.
So, this regime change that was led by the people of Ukraine?
You have slums. You just choose not to see them. Like the conceited, arrogant a-hole that all Europeans are. The fact that you don't care about Ukraine, but caring may mean your Russian gas gets cut off, means that your another selfish European from a country that hasn't really mattered since the 16th century.
Why should Europe forget cheap Russian gas? Buy more of it than ever. Best protection from Russia is to be friends and do as much business with them as possible. Which is what the US is afraid of.
Keep the US across the pond tending to its own business. Also sanction them for every military invasion too, to hold everyone to same standards.
There is literally not a single slum in my country. And i don't want it to matter or be important. It is enough for me that I can peacefully enjoy one of the highest living standards in the world without having all the problem of countries "that matter".
Americans are so self-absorbed, they don't realize how mediocre the US has become. No wonder you need the largest military in the world, otherwise no one would take you seriously. Latest when Saudis, China, India and Russia will start trading gas and oil for Rubles and Yuans you will realize how big the world is and that the US is not the center of it.
This is good news for your side, sh!tbag. Some of the children-killing scumbags on your Moskva boat seem to have survived.
New photos and a short video clip emerged early Monday on social media showing Russia's guided-missile cruiser, the Moskva, badly damaged and on fire in the hours before the ship sank in the Black Sea on Thursday.
Article talks about how the war could end much more than addressing the question in its headline.
Relevant quote:
"Over time, the West could employ a mix of sanctions and diplomacy in an effort to achieve a full Russian military withdrawal from Ukraine."
I've heard rumors Putin wants to wrap things up by May Day. I'm skeptical that anyone in the West can look at what's going on through unbiased eyed. A better question would be, "What does Putin want?" My guess: no Nato or EU membership for Ukraine, no missiles in an adjacent country pointed at Moscow.
looks like Russia is trying and failing to advance in the East. And what's more, UKR is getting better artillery soon, which could help dislodge RU from their dug-in positions. Worst place on Earth is under artillery barrage from precision weapons and that's where these low-morale Russians will find themselves soon.
New goal for RU is to make UKR a landlocked nation...which actually seems a possible goal. Although NATO will keep giving UKR weapons that will make being a RU soldier on UKR land very very unpleasant. Imagine being an East German soldier if West Germany had drones and loitering weapons that don't care about border walls.
So the big question is if we are seeing the last big offensive from the exhausted RU military. If so, what then? Some do think RU is just testing UKR with sorties rather than all they have.

Russia is totaly fckd in this conflict. Overnight they went from bejng able to walk in and landgrab to being stuck in perpetual hell. Putin didn't have a clue in the end. Russians will be terrorized by an infinitely armed Ukraine for as long as it remains on sovereign Ukraine's turf. And all Putin can do now is let himself be lied to so he can feel better.

the worry is that a weakened dictator does crazy stuff to stay in power. War is usually the way you do it. Or finding a scapegoat. Or inciting an insurrection on Congress. Expect to hear a lot of Russian suffering and jailtime as Putin tries to shift the blame to someone other than himself.

If Putin remains unable to gain any material support and sympathy from enough powerful nations, and cannot break up the current strong unified response, any ultra aggressive actions such as a chemical weapons campaign will be his end. He is clearly no longer the strategic genius a lot of people thought he was and I believe this is a rare chance for the West to permanently cripple this menace. He painted himself into a corner. The only moves he can make at the moment amount to military maneuvering within Ukraine, and he is burning through cash and military resources in the process so it is not sustainable.
Russia told the United States to stop sending more arms to Ukraine, warning that large Western deliveries of weapons were inflaming the conflict and would lead to more losses, Moscow's ambassador to Washington said.

My earlier point exactly. Without a threat (real or fake), NATO hasn’t been necessary for 25+ years.
(…..except for propping up the military industrial complex, of course.)
Sooo, well done, “Liberals.”
The same guy who can't understand the base rate fallacy also has a 9th grade level understanding of international politics.
Big surprise!
LOL- your obsession with bAsE rAtE FaLLaCy is hilarious. Quite ironic.
As we’ve been telling you morans for the last 9 weeks, experts have been warning against these exact moves from the West and subsequent moves Russia for over 20 years. That is understanding geopolitics.
Not understanding “international politics” is being unable to admit why this is happening (despite being told), and instead claiming Putin is a wild man losing his mind.
The icing on the cake is then also ignoring the fact that the US has literally invaded like half a dozen countries in the last 2 decades alone, resulting in millions (certainly hundreds of thousands) dead.
Again, the Military Industrial Complex is very appreciative of your support here.
Russia, the largest country in the world, is now off physically (air space bans) and financially cut of from 85% of the world’s GNP (North America, Western Europe, East Asia and Australia/NZ).

Experts have been warning that Russia would get bogged down in a quagmire, throw away 10s of thousands of soldiers + billions of materiel, and permanently destroy their reputation as a military power? I missed this, please link!
Nobody thinks Putin is crazy – it's just clear they are incompetent.
P.S. You still can't explain the base rate fallacy. I am disappointed.
Russia lost its flagship War Vessel in a land war to a country without a Navy.
It identified as a Titanic.
Yep and I managed to buy some of the commemorative stamps... Putin and his lovers are really getting their teeth kicked in lately.. Le Pen got destroyed, LOLz.

I heard it was MiLLiOnS oF sOlDiErS! The “Ghost of Kiev has taken down like 200 planes all by himself! Ukraine is kicking major asss on this war! LOL

other experts have said that Putin is obsessed with reconstructing the Soviet Union or the Russian Empire. Not because of NATO but because he thinks that is the natural order of the world and he wants to be king of the slavs and end the 30-year humiliation of being a country, not an empire.
You choose to believe your NATO story for some reason - probably because right wingers now define themselves by how little they trust the establishment. And not trusting the establishment has led them to radical beliefs like blaming the USA for nearly every bad thing that happens.
You and the 60s hard-left radicals are sort of converging, scarily enough.

You’re a very silly person.
More Russian incompetence / Ukrainian superiority.

If Putin thought any of that nonsense - which is hilarious to even consider, since our Russian/Eastern Euro policy experts (and even Biden himself in the late 90s!!!) predicted this would happen if we continued to expand NATO and weapons build up along Russia’s border - why did he wait two decades? LOL
How does one disregard accurate predictions like the aforementioned (with videos to support), in favor of propaganda that cannot be traced back to anything other than speculation?

Uh, nobody is disputing that Russia has completely failed to achieve their objectives and lost far, far more men and materiel than expected.
Why is recognizing the complete Russian failure so triggering to you?
