3. Obstruction or attempt to obstruct an official proceeding
4. Conspiracy against rights
I wasn't old enough to vote for or against him so I say this as someone who is just watching from the sidelines, but these all sound way too vague to take seriously. Bottom line is he has free speech rights to claim he won the election regardless of what the correct vote count is.
you do know that you can read the statutes AND the indictment right? Didn't they teach you anything in school?
This utter and total Bullsh!t. He absolutely won the election and how can you blame him for trying to undo an unjust result? This is a weaponized government and he should without a doubt have imunity as a former president. With all the crap the Clintons and Obama did, I still don't think they should be threatened with jail as former Commanders in Chief. I have no faith in the current administration. But I hope the paper trail gets followed back to our grifter in chief so this new precedent can be turned on Joey B.
It is hard being such a moron or have you come to grips with it?
I read it and he didn’t do anything illegal. Unethical? Yes, but illegal? No.
What we’re seeing is political war games. Have the Biden’s used politics to acquire their wealth? Yes.
Did Trump cry like a baby and falsely claim cheater cheater? Yes.
The thing our nation has a drug problem, alcohol problem, and abuse problem. But we’re being distracted by theses old man politicians and their political war games.
are you really so stupid that you read the whole thing and came away with that foolish take? Also if you for 1 minute think that this impacts our ability to deal with the other problems you are a moron of the highest order
I live in a fairly large city (NYC) "run by Dems" and work in Harlem--is that inner city enough?
Any reason you don't live in Harlem? Would be a shorter commute.
Yeah, we've owned the same apartment downtown for 30+ years; I picked up the Harlem job just a few years ago. And who knows how long I'll keep it: I'm already past the usual retirement age.
I half heartedly tried to get my late wife to let me buy a Harlem townhouse in 2008. Would have sat on a gold mine. Big mistake.
Yeah. I have a 30ish coworker who works in Harlem and elsewhere. He's doing very well for himself professionally (CCNY engineering grad) and at one point recently he investigated buying a townhouse in the neighborhood, so he could walk to work instead of commuting from upstate.
Not a chance. Apparently he and his entire extended family couldn't come up with a down payment. There are some beautiful classic buildings in the area, people are taking care of them, and their prices are going through the roof.
In that case, what he's charged for is essentially a thoughtcrime, and we've come full circle. At the end of the day he has the free speech right to claim it was stolen, and yes even arrage an alternate slate of electors (a la Al Gore). I see it as a difference in degree, not in kind from what many other politicians have done.
Stop.
You already have no credibility. But when you're in a hole, stop digging.
There has never been a shameful, criminal event like this in the history of American politics. This makes Watergate look like a prank.
Thoughtcrime doesn't leave a trail of documents, forgeries, injured police officers, and a dead woman.
Kokiho has to stop listening to his dad.
These fake electors signed official forms saying they were real electors and they tried to pass themselves as real electors with the sole purpose of over turning a fair election.
These patsies didn't do this on there own but it was a well coordinated illegal play covering a number of states that Trump lost.
Koko, Gore did nothing like this. Link me a reliable source indicating that Gore did this or assume it didn't happen.
key word "charged" that's what you got for your $. thats the best your hired guns could come up with. people get charged with nonsense all the time, without political animosity. this will take years and years to run through our courts. where to even start? you guys have been so busy writing these novels
so, while your gang of Communists are working on that and continue to kill children to protect your Messiah, we will do our best to knock the Manchurian candidate out of the White House. Big vote coming up. fun stuff
Darned Tootin'! COMMIES! Every last one of them!!!
Regardless. You said that made the indictment false. It does not. The indictment is accurate. Trump was falsely saying the crowd was peaceful when they were bludgeoning officers.
with flags. don't forget to mention the mighty weapons they had. keep it straight in your head that way. we know how you like to embellish
Exactly! If your bludgeoning instrument has a flag attached to it then it isn't a bludgeoning instrument. Why the heck don't these COMMIES understand something so simple?
Remember "Proud Boys stand back and stand by"? Buried in the indictment and oddly being ignored by the press is what Trump planned to do had the Capitol insurrection had been successful. He planned to invoke the insurrection act and have the military (if they complied) and militias round up all opposition.
This was a Fascist coup attempt. If you are hair trigger and offended by that term being used than you need to learn some damn history and put om some glasses about what this man was doing.
Ironic how the man shouting to all who will listen that there was a grand conspiracy to usurp power from him organized and grand conspiracy to usurp power. It's too obvious at this point the playbook is to preemptive accuse others of what they themselves are doing and anyone who supported this should be ashamed.

To compare this to Gore just simply takes a very poor understanding of the two cases. In Gore the margin was so small that the legally cast votes that were thrown out due to difficulty reading the ballot could have been enough to swing the election, and Gore’s legal team wanted the ballots hand counted. They pursued this through the courts. When the Supreme Court ruled that the vote counting had to stop due to time constraints, Gore conceded the election. In Trump’s case the margins were far too large for any recount pursued through the courts to matter, so Trump’s legal team tried to overturn the result using an illegal fake elector scheme, and through badgering election officials. If you can’t see the difference between these two cases then you simply have a lot of reading to do before your opinion is at all meaningful.

CORRECT!
From a weak man’s perspective it could be. can’t relate. seems there was more firepower setting up Chaz. in any event let us know how the clown show resolves it sometime later down the road. my guess is you surrender after the vote in Nov
