I still have the speed in my legs to do it but needs of course stamina / endurance enough to succeed . Anyway I will be satiesfied with a sub 19 in August next year.

To my advantage is that I have never stopped with running totally after I finished elite training at age 40.

You wrote this 4 months ago: "In fact I believe it gonna be quite easy for me to run 17:30 @ 5000m next year ." Obviously you don't know how to train. You state you need endurance but all you do are short sprints.
This is why you have zero credibility. This and all your lies.

Will be a special moment when you get the black page!

We respect you, and many idolize you for your past performances, 8:30, 14:20, 29:50, 1:06:00, 2:22:00. Impressive, and probably faster than 99% of Letsrun patrons.
It seems you were fast also, based on a 50 secs 400 time trial.
Very, VERY hard to run 17:30 (let alone 36:00) in the 65-69 age group.
VERY,VERY,VERY,VERY hard.
Well, not that very hard 😎 The times in training and workouts needed to run a 17:30 5 k. is 12-20 x 400m @ 83 sec and longer threshold reps @ 90 sec/ 400m and backed up by easy steady runs @ 5 min/ km . Doesn't look as a mission impossible to a former national elite runner with a 14:20 best? I coached some years ago a Swedish master age 60 and I got him down to run 20 x 400m at 76 sec , a runner far from as talented as me.....so running my 20x400m @ 83 sec doesn't look very hard. We will see what happens.....🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪

I see you have very little knowledge about training.... 😎😁Didn't you know running interval reps faster than easy pace creats faster improvement of endurance/ stamina? Take a great runner as Zatopek as one of many examples. Do you believe he started his training as a runner by running long easy steady runs? Of course he didn't. Same with Woldemar Gerschlers top runners and the runners coached by Igloi.Same with Billy Mills. The best trick to run fast at longer distances when the runner's stamina/ endurance is low in the beginning of the training is to start with shorter reps in intervals and then just build on until the endurance will be enough to switch to a program like my original Dancan system that takes the runner even further to perfection.🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪
Wizard magician if your method was truly successful why are you still working your day job?
why are athletes not paying you gobs of money to coach them to success ? Your system is not successful and oh and when was the last time you ran a sub 3:48 km?

The Wizard is working as a mathematics teacher near Gothenburg to maximize his future Swedish pension which takes into account his last years of maximum earnings and then he plans to retire in either the Ukraine if applicable, or Spain.
We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours and like him or hate him, we cannot ignore him because he does make an impact on people's lives.
I'm late to the game here. Has this Emma ever run a certified road race or track meet? Her workouts show she's in 1:10 HM shape and low 15s 5k shape, which puts her towards the top of the US.

Who is Emma? Am I missing something?
Based on what you say, I would like to see "Emma" run the following times in 2024: 4:10 (1500), 8:40 (3000), 14:50 (5000), 30:40 (10,000), 1:06:00 (half), 2:18:00 (marathon). She's more "diesel" than speed merchant, hence her limited 1500 speed. If she does reach 2:18:00 in the marathon, that would place her as a serious contender in many races. Obviously, Hassan, Gidey and co are at a different level (2:11:00-2:13:00), but she's in the second group.
I'm assuming Emma uses a hybrid system of training incorporating a smorgasbord of different training methods, in addition to parts of the Wizard's Dancan system.
Please note: The above is a projection, not yet reality.

Wiz, You are down to maybe 2 posters total on here who don't think you're delusional. Saying that a 17:30 5K is "not that very hard" for a 65 year old will now cause you to lose me. If not for Ghost, the entire LetsRun community would have ghosted you by now. (And I believe Ghost is hanging on by a thread).

Walker is obviously an outlier in the 65 plus division as he wins most of his races by several minutes in his age group. I'm assuming he started his athletics career late in life unlike the Wizard, who was precocious at an early age and proficient in a number of skill sports.

This might inspire the Wizard to lose some weight in order to match strides with this Scottish outlier who recently ran 3405 for 10,000 meters at the age of 67.
The Scottish maestro trains approximately 70 miles a week and had a long hiatus from competitive running for many years enabling him to maintain freshness in his legs.

Thank you.
But does Emma have any verified results? JS had a female runner in the past with similar workout times. Unfortunately, she turned out to be entirely fake and a big lie. Is he doing the same thing with “Emma”?

Jan, I have coached a European medalist, and a 5th place at world's. You? Right.
Fact: You said you would easily run 17:30 next Summer. I bet my house on this: You won't.
