I said the DOJ isn't independent. Biden appointed the AG and can fire him at any time. That doesn't sound very independent, does it? The only "evidence" to the contrary is a supposed "norm" that I don't trust. Then, let's add this to the pile.
Again, 100% incorrect. You 100% trust it when your side is in power (and EVEN when he/they shove it in your face that they're abusing it). And you 100% don't trust it otherwise. Awesome.
My side, the libertarians, have never been in power, and I wouldn't trust it even if they were, nor should I. Frankly, I find it quaint that you believe the DOJ is independent even some of the time, even without looking at his track record so far.
How long should the feds have let Trump keep stolen top secret documents insecurely in his basement?
The DOJ waited over a year, out of respect for the ex-prez.
What's your view on how long the DOJ should have waited? 3 years? 4? Maybe 7 or 8? Give me a round estimate. I'm curious.
If this were an urgent issue, they should have (and probably would have) done the raid ASAP. If not, never.
Dumb.
1) It could have been urgent by most or all expert determinations, but they were showing (horribly excessive) discretion (i.e., pu**y-footing) with an ex-president. That's how bad people abuse good people and systems. Trump does whatever he wants, and the system still respects him. Infuriating. But still far better than anarchy or authoritarianism.
2) More importantly, I don't give 2 sh**s if it was urgent. If he has a fraction of what it looks like he had, and Mar-a-Lago is the most secure facility in the world, I want him treated like every other schmuck government employee or contractor would be if they brought boxes of classified material home with them (and perhaps lied about having it in the first place).
Newsflash: If anyone else did what he likely did, that "raid" would have happened a LONG time ago. But your brainwashed mind sees the delay as suspicious. So dumb.

So you are saying that you don't have any evidence that Biden has meddled in the DOJ.
And you don't actually have anything to complain about except the fact that the Constitution puts the Attorney General under the President.
Take it up with the founding fathers.
Sure, but FIRST, have a better plan. Then they'll talk to you. Good luck.
Welp, JRB's approval rating continues to climb (per 538, now at 40.5%) and the average price of a gallon of gas continues to drop (per AAA, $3.93)--but it's slow going, for both. I don't think we're going to see 50% and $3.00 before Election Day.
I could be wrong, though. It happens with a sad frequency.
What planet do you live on? Just because the President CAN fire the head of the DOJ doesn't mean he will or should. Again, as I told you before, you moron, this isn't Trump's Administration. Merrick Garland didn't take any orders from Biden. The White House has already commented on this. You have to PROVE that he did to further your ridiculous outrageous claim. Dumb@ss.
The fact that he can fire him proves he's not independent. Sorry this simple concept alludes you. While we're at it, by your logic, what evidence do you have that Bill Barr wasn't "independent"?
Just STOP pretending like you care about independence. Or pretty much ANY OTHER governing principle. You care about SIDES, and ONLY sides. No principles, no consistency, no sincerity, no honesty. Sides.
Societies don't work well like that, you know. But the dumbf***s and their non-dum**** enablers want to indulge in a very dangerous experiment.
Rep. Liz Cheney (R., Wyo.) said the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol will hold more hearings in September. She said the committee would spend August pursuing additional information an...
There was plenty of evidence presented to the house and the senate.
But you have no evidence that Biden meddled in DOJ investigations. Zero.
Not enough evidence to convict and remove him. In the end he was aquitted, i.e., cleared of all charges, just as he was with the Mueller investigation and it appears the same with the Jan; 6 Committee. How come we never hear about that? Never, because they have nothing. Absolutely nothing
The world has "absolutely nothing" on Donald Trump. But remember, I'm no Trumper.
The accusations about your stupidity really are terribly, terribly well-founded.
Again, 100% incorrect. You 100% trust it when your side is in power (and EVEN when he/they shove it in your face that they're abusing it). And you 100% don't trust it otherwise. Awesome.

Gotta love how you I-won't-quite-admit-it Trumpers pretend ("quaintly" pretend?) to have any credibility whatsoever.
Newsflash #2: After a few pages of this, anyone with ANY credibility or consistency on this topic would have typed at least a FEW measly words about how they ALSO didn't approve of the lack of independence during Trump's time. Have we seen that? Of course not. Because it's not there. You're a straight Trumper, but pretend to be a libertarian, or anything else, because you think it sounds more sophisticated.
Call yourself whatever you want, but your power of persuasion on this topic has been non-existent. Worse actually, because it's also 100% disingenuous.

Guess what? Finally, President Joe Biden and the Democrats have managed to do something we didn’t think would ever happen. That is, the majority of Americans are agreeing on is the fact that …

The problem is this is the Biden thread, not the Trump thread, thus we're discussing Biden's DOJ.
Haberman speculated that some of the documents Trump took could have pertained to the Russian investigation. No evidence. No proof. Just speculation, otherwise known as wishful thinking. Dem M.O.

Why are so angry and triggered lately? Again, this not the Flagpole that we all know. Perhaps it's the inevitability of the GOP regaining control of both Houses of Congress and either Trump or DeSantis running the show in 2025.
1) Not triggered. I don't get triggered.
2) Not angry. I don't get angry.
3) The GOP is probably going to take the House but not the Senate. I don't really care because the change in power is typical in a midterm. I mean, I would PREFER that both the House and Senate stay with the Democrats, but I can accept the change.
4) Trump will never win another election, so I am not concerned about that one bit.
5) DeSantis is Trump light, but as long as he's not Trump, I don't really care. He's a POS, but there is no evidence today that he's amoral or a criminal like Trump is.
6) Right now is a turning point for you moron Trumpers to see the light, and the fact that you haven't proves how f*cking stupid you are. I never lie, and I don't shy away from telling the truth either. I would be 100% against any Democrat who did what Trump has done with either Jan. 6 or now the stealing of classified and top secret documents, and anyone who would still support a President/former President who did such things is either ignorant or monumentally stupid or both.
There was plenty of evidence presented to the house and the senate.

Again Sally, you need to ask questions here only. You are too stupid, too ill informed, to make any statements. Oh, and f*ck off.

CORRECT! His comments are not only 100% disingenuous, but 100% filled with dumb@ssery.
