Rs just can’t face the fact their party is led by a criminal and is full of criminals.
they see criminals as a class of poors
who live in big cities and wear their pants low. Not white guys in suits who call themselves patriots and conservatives.
The hardest thing to see is what is right in front of their faces.
F/ckley:
The reason republicans get so incredibly huffy when any of the tools of law enforcement are ever turned upon them is they think “criminals” as an inherent class of people (who they of course could never be part of) rather than a descriptor for someone who commits illegal acts.
You think people still trust the FBI?
FBI said the Hunter laptop was russian disinfo. Now even the WaPo and NY Times admit it's legit. FBI refused to charge Hillary Clinton because her "extreme carelessness" did not meet the standard of "gross negligence" FBI lawyers lied and falsified documents to get FISA warrants on Trump and his staff FBI knew the Russian Dossier story was 100% fake but they still pushed it to hurt Trump FBI arrested Steve Bannon for "contempt of congress" but they did not arrest Eric Holder for the same offense. The FBI created the plot to kidnap Michigan governor Whitmer to make it seem like republicans were a domestic terrorist threat. The FBI has targeted parents speaking out against critical race theory and transgender propaganda in school, calling them domestic terrorists To name a few.
Yes, I do trust the FBI. But most of what you said is false, so I don't trust you.
Joe Biden doesn’t need his brain anymore. He just needs to smile and wave and get eight out of ten words right and we should beat Trump just fine in 24
Then it should be an easy 2024 election for the dems. The problem is that no one wants Biden in 2024, not even his own party to the tune of 75% based on a recent poll. That said, 55% of R’s said they don’t want trump in 2024 either.
Issue is that DeSantis is gaining steam for the R’s and the dems really don’t have anyone to match him as of now, as far as I can tell. Kamala is just as disliked as Biden, Hillary is terrible (she lost to Trump after all), Bernie is Bernie, Buttigieg isn’t inspiring. Newsom has been active lately so maybe he’s the guy for the dems in 2024.
Some polls show that independent voters aren’t happy with Biden and more and more minority voters are not happy with the social and cultural policies by the Left. People will pinch their nose to vote for someone they don’t like if they better represent their values and principles. I think dems underestimated how socially conservative many minority groups are. Who knows though, polling has been proven to be unreliable so it will be interesting.
You sound unprepared for Trump v Biden part two. It’s gonna be wild.
If I wanted to watch two geriatrics duke it out I would go to the local nursing home on bingo day. It’d be more entertaining.

I hear anti-D/Pro-R folks always talking about "value and principles," with little or no complaint made about Trump/Trumpism "values and principles." Please explain why what Rs might describe as excessive sympathy for illegal aliens or poor people or transgenders or minorities or the environment means EVERYTHING, and the utter lack of value and principles from Trump/Trumpism means essentially nothing? Which one of those distasteful liberal "value and principles" is MORE important than honesty? And Decency? (see COVID response and pretty much every time Donny opens his mouth). And Democracy? And rule of law? Trump/Trumpism embodies NONE of these fine value & principles.
The reality is that 30-40% of this country needs to wake up and realize that they are, quite objectively, self-insulting themselves when they claim that the current R party "better represents their values and principles."
A lot of conservatives would point to the current make up of the Supreme Court, as well as the appointment of conservative judges under trump and call that a win.
You don’t have to agree every aspect of a politicians life/views to acknowledge they’re more of a match to your criteria when voting than someone else. We’re not electing a pastor of a church, just another politician. If Joe Biden is your bar for honesty and decency…that’s a low bar.
I will admit that I bought that initially because I read some things that you likely did about it. But then...I read the Act. Fat Hurts is correct...no tax increase on people making less than $400,000.
You could make an argument (though thin) that employees might see a hit to their earnings due to the corporate taxes or even that the markets could be negatively affected, but that's really as far as you can go on this.
Fat Hurts has given you the challenge...show us where in the Act it points out that there will be a tax increase on anyone making less than $400,000 per year...don't quote stuff from your "news" sources. Don't give me anything that anyone SAYS about it...pull out from the Act where what you say is true. You will not be able to do that.
How is spending $369 BILLION on Green provisions and raising taxes on manufacturers going to lower inflation??? Pumping more money into the economy will raise inflation as well as increasing taxes on those companies who make products. It is idiotic to think inflation will go down.
I have already said this Act will NOT reduce inflation, so I don't know why you are talking to me about this. It is perhaps expertly named, but the name is really BS. Inflation is high right now due to global pressures, and no Act in America will change that in any significant way.
Inflation WILL go down though, AND Biden and the Democrats WILL take credit for it, and they WILL point to the Act as the reason for it. Lots of voters will buy that. The real good news for Democrats though about it is that it IS a significant thing that was passed with a Democrat in the White House, and no matter the reason or even the effectiveness of said Act, that bodes well for Democrats in the next Presidential election. It's one of the 13 keys.

Flagpole already said he doesn't think it will lower inflation.
I haven't made any judgement on that, except to point out that economists disagree.
Overall, it's a very good bill that will lower health care costs and help us fight global warming.
It WILL for sure lower health care costs, AND it does help fight global warming. Now, to be clear, if ONLY the US did things to fight global warming, that would only help so much, BUT the world DOES look to the US for leadership in certain areas, and pollution reduction is one of those, so it is good to be a leader in this way.
You say you are an accountant. So tell us which part of the bill raises tax rates on those making under $400,000 per year. If the editorial tells you which part of the bill does that then it should be easy for you to read that part of the bill and explain it to us.
Sooooo....you don't care what the Wall Street Journal says about the bill, but you DO CARE about what Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes say about it?
The Wall Street Journal IS heavily biased toward Republicans...a Murdoch publication, so yeah, liberals in general don't buy much of what The Wall Street Journal says on it's opinion page. Even though The Wall Street Journal and the New York Post and to some degree Fox News, have all turned their backs on Trump, they are all still willing to skew and lie to support Republican ideology with Fox News being the king of that with no equivalent on the liberal side.

I didn't say that Trump didn't have any "wins." Yep, 3 conservative supreme court justices. Guess how many conservative supreme court justices any of the other 2016 R primary contenders would have appointed? Yes, 3. Same result, but horrendous man president. This isn't Logic 101, because that would be a college course. It's logic for grade schoolers.
Your second and third last sentences cast off all of Trump's completely disqualifying behavior, like so many other Rs/Trumpers do. Rs had a choice. And they still have a choice. There are literally thousands, if not tens of thousands, of Rs in this country who would make a better president. They could choose them. They CHOOSE not to. Far, far too many LIKE Trump.
They've let themselves be convinced that liberals are SO, SO bad, that being in bed with pretty much anyone else AGAINST them is OK. It's not. And it could literally destroy our democracy.
"We're not electing the pastor at our church." Correct, we're electing someone almost infinitely more powerful. In that person, SOME appreciation for honesty should matter. Trump clearly, clearly has zero. Ditto all of the other personal and professional flaws I've mentioned....and could go on all day listing.
So all of you, please stop with the minimizing of Trump's flaws. They're massive and clearly disqualifying. Likewise, stop being duped into believing that Biden - or ANY other politician on the scene right now - is within a light year as bad. Somewhere inside, I'd like to think that at least SOME of you might actually know what BS that is.
They've let themselves be convinced that liberals are SO, SO bad, that being in bed with pretty much anyone else AGAINST them is OK. It's not. And it could literally destroy our democracy.
Oh we still have a "democracy"? When is this "democracy" going to investigate Hillary Clinton? She is literally out there BRAGGING that she did the same thing Trump is accused of doing. Having a hard time caring about why we should "preserve" this "democracy" anymore.
Every “But her emails” hat or shirt sold helps @onwardtogether partners defend democracy, build a progressive bench, and fight for our values.
The real good news for Democrats though about it is that it IS a significant thing that was passed with a Democrat in the White House
This point can't be stressed enough. Biden has passed a bevy of significant legislation with a 50/50 senate and a narrow majority in the house. It's an insanely brilliant achievement.
One of the main reasons to vote for Biden was because he knows how to get things done in congress. He has more than proven his worth in that regard.

He did a splending job getting the $5 trillion Build BAck America act passed. Oh wait, that wasn't passed? This is like 1/7 of what that bill was. Chump change.
If anything Biden bouncing back from covid so easily proves the vaccines work.
An odd angle that proved the opposite of what you’re trying to say.
It’s omicron. Everyone is over it in 3 days. He tested positive for like 2 weeks now. Did you hear him coughing all over at his press event today? Rough.
I don’t want to sound heartless but it’s still killing Trumpers disproportionately.
As Americans commemorate a million deaths due to COVID-19, the partisan divide of who has gotten sick and died continues to grow, mostly due to disinformation about the vaccines.

Even better. This bill cuts the deficit. And it brings down health care costs and fights climate change.

Plus he did it with a 50/50 senate. Amazing.
How does it cut the deficit? When you spend $369 billion on the bogus Global Warming hoax, that is only going to add to the deficit. Are you seriously saying it will cut the deficit?

You mean they're disproportionately older and therefore disproportionately dying with Omicron, i.e. primarily very old people with at least four comorbidities.
