So this says that people making under $400,000 will pay a tiny bit more in taxes. But it doesn't say how.
I don't know of anything in the bill that would raise taxes on those under $400,000. It will save most Americans a ton of money. Get back to us when you have something in the bill that actually makes Biden a liar on this one.
How will it save "most Americans a ton of money?" And economists have already said it wil not do anything to stem inflation. In fact it will make it worse. You said the same thing about Build back America. Trillion-dollar bill do nothing but raise inflation and cost Americans a ton of money. Do you know ANYTHING about elementary economics?
If you knew anything about economics you would know that economists never agree. There are plenty of economists who think the bill will help bring down inflation.
The bill will save Americans tons of money on prescription drugs, ACA premiums, electric cars, and home solar, just for starters.
And on top of it all, the bill also cuts the deficit.
WASHINGTON — A Donald Trump fan from Texas who attempted to storm the U.S. Capitol while armed with a gun was sentenced to more than 7 years in prison on Monday after a judge denied the Justice Department's request for a "terrorism enhancement" that would have resulted in a lengthier prison sentence.
Wrong thread, agip. We have a Trump thread to unload your TDS.
Sounds like that guy was against Both parties because he mentioned Mitch Mcconnell too.
Seriously? Are you so absolutely unaware of how this all works?
Good lord man read a newspaper.
Your view is that this fanatical trump supporter, who attacked police while armed, and swore to go kill members of congress in the name of Donald J Trump, is just a neutral 'I hate them all guy'
Do I have that right?
As you quoted, "and Mitch McConnell too, f**k ‘em all." Does that sound like a guy who supports Mitch McConnells party?
And speaking of Tesla, remember back on June 18 when I told you all, "As an investment, this probably the best time to buy Tesla stock that we will ever see again."
The stock was trading around $650. Just sayin'.
I already had a lot of Tesla (in my index funds and individually as a stock) but took your advice and bought up a bunch with the market down so much. You done me well, Fat Hurts! Thanks!
You're welcome. Just hold on tight. The next two quarters are going to see a huge jump in earnings.

gawd I love it when you bump my threads onto the next page and give them more visibility

Republicans doing one of the things they love to best: Help Russia and hurt Western Europe. Anything to make woke people cry.
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) on Monday said he would vote against Finland’s and Sweden’s bids to join NATO, a move that would go against most of his colleagues from both sides of the aisle. In an op-ed published by The National Interest, Hawley says the United States shouldn’t expand its security commitments in Europe due to a more pressing threat from China.

Obama warned against raising taxes during a recession.
You still haven't shown where the bill raises taxes on Americans making under $400,000 per year. So I guess you are saying that the article you posted was a lie?
Christians don't believe in God based on any rational or logical means or even any attempt at such things. Christians believe in God for these main reasons:
You wrote a good post and I agree with it but I pulled out one statement that is frequently expressed by nonbelievers that I would like to address. Although you specifically refer to Christians I would like to address the general belief in God by both Christians and non-Christians.
But let's start with two postulates that everyone should agree with.
(1) Whether you believe in God or not things in this world just seem absurd and not possible. At the big bang, the point of singularity where the whole universe and energy is condensed into a small point that suddenly starts to expand and the major forces of nature (electromagnetic, gravity and the nuclear) just happened to be balanced so perfectly that atoms and molecules and planets can form. That's crazy stuff. String theory, alternate universes, dark energy they are all absurd ideas. The point being even if you don't believe in God there is some absurd stuff in the world that you have to believe.
(2) No one understands the workings of this miraculous crazy world nor do any religions or people understand the workings of God. We just really don't understand any of it. Some religions might say they understand God, but no one really does.
So my point is that is that it may be crazy and not logical to believe in God and but not to believe in God requires you to believe some crazy stuff too.
Just because the mysteries of the universe are not known does not mean or imply that a God must have created it. Atheists don't (generally) have a belief. We have a disbelief that there is a God. That's it.
What are "exalting exercises"? What does one do to get exalted?
Is it still called the Republican Flu?
I might be the only poster left in this thread who never caught the Republican Flu.
Well, I would never call COVID that because it's not a flu (it's worse), and that's just stupid. But, I have not contracted COVID, neither has my wife nor either of my adult children. We are all as vaccinated as we are allowed to be, and we have all used proper precautions all along the way.
Remember, George HW Bush's promise on taxes? "read my lips, no new taxes" Well, here is Brandon's moment- he broke a massive campaign promise here. Take the "L" and move on.
Biden promised no tax hikes if you make less than $400K per year

Incorrect! Covid has mutated and has gotten weaker and weaker each time. The vast majority get Omicron which is practically a glorified cold today. I remain happily unvaxxed and my natural immunity is UNDEFEATED.

That doesn't make him neutral. That just means he's a brainwashed Trumper. His undying loyalty is to Trump and only Trump.

Paul Krugman is not a real economist.
He just has a Nobel prize in economics. But other than that, nobody thinks he's a real economist.
There are plenty of other economists who think the bill will help bring down inflation.

Not really. It just requires one to be able to accept that the truth is that you don't know. Many people have a hard time saying, "I don't know." Still, it is possible and it is the honest answer to many questions.
