Witnesses testifying to the DOJ Grand Jury have let the cat out of the bag...Trump is being investigated by the DOJ as a subject or target. Grand Juries ONLY are assembled to consider CRIMINAL charges, so it is clear Trump is in the legal crosshairs.
He needs to be punished LEGALLY for our Democratic Republic to survive.
There is a fascinating article in the New Yorker on what appears to be the easiest case to make against Trump. It is undeniable that he could have stopped the riot at any time but chose to do nothing. Furthermore, he helped to start the riot in the first place. Trump's refusal to act makes him criminally negligent for everything that happened. This could even result in Trump being guilty of negligent homicide. And it would be pretty easy to prove in court.
Among the first lessons that American law students are taught is that if you see a person drowning and you could easily throw him a rope but choose not to, your inaction may be morally wrong but you have not committed a crime. By contrast, though, if the drowning person is someone you have a legal duty to aid—for example, if it’s your spouse or your child, or if you are on duty as a lifeguard, or even if you accidentally pushed the person into the water—and you do nothing to help, then you could be legally liable, even for criminal homicide. In other words, if individuals have a legal duty to act but choose not to, they could be held responsible for the harm that results, no less than anyone who acted to cause harm.
Editing in the New Yorker has gone a bit downhill in recent years. And they do too many wishful thinking pieces on Trump. The New Yorker has suffered a bit from TDS, like many others. You'd have to be flying high on a double dose of acid to think Trump is going to be charged with homicide.
What's this about General Kelly pushing Ivanka Trump? Trump needs to beat Kelly senseless for the umbrage and effrontery. Just smack him around, much like to did to Giuliani and the Secret Service agent.
Trump can't just let this go. His honor is at stake. His daughter's honor, for Christ's sakes!
There is no evidence that Jesus was angry when he cursed the fig tree.
And he was most definitely not rude to his mother. There is nothing to suggest that Jesus was being rude. Furthermore, there is no evidence that the conversation between Jesus and Mary took place in public as you claimed. It is more likely that Mary took Jesus aside to inform him of an embarrassing situation. Thus, the conversation was probably private.
Wrong. All the evidence is that J. Christ was angry when he killed the fig tree. You think he was gleeful?
J. Christ was rude to his mother (Mary) at Cana. Look at how he talked to her. People should respect their elders. Part of being a good Nazareenian-American.
Where is the evidence that Jesus was angry? I never said he was gleeful, but there is no reason to believe he was angry either.
There is also no evidence the Jesus was rude to his mother at Cana. Addressing her as "Woman" was a common idiom at the time. In fact, he also lovingly addresses her this way while hanging on the cross:
When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
In both cases you are reading into the story something that is not there.
Are you trying to convince us that Jesus was harsh and insulting?
What does it mean to you to be an Exalted Man? Are you saying that you are a god or that you will be a god some day?

it's not just that he sat back and did not do his duty and therefore broke his oath of office.
Trump ***used*** the time to call Republican senators to get them to fight the electoral vote count. He summoned an armed mob, sent it to sack congress, and when prevented from joining the mob, used his phone to further the mob's wishes.
It's not lazy cowardly dereliction...it's actively joining the cause of the mob.
That alone, forgetting all the other merde from him, makes Trump the worst president of modern times.
" The House Jan. 6 committee played testimony during its eighth summer hearing from former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who said Trump did not make an effort to address the protest that was turning into a riot down the street. According to testimony, Trump instead called senators in a last-ditch effort to delay Joe Biden's certification as the next president. The committee did not have the identities of these senators, as the calls were not in the official records."

If you kill a fig tree because it didn't have figs, you are angry. There is simply no other emotion available to describe J. Christ's mood, rather than angry. What mood do you think he was in when he smote the fig tree?
He was rude to his mother. Look at the way he talked to her.

Of course there are many emotions available. If you look at the reason he cursed the tree, it becomes quite clear. Most commentators see the tree as a symbol of the temple, Israel, or both. The lesson Jesus gives his disciples is that a tree producing no fruit will be destroyed. This is also the lesson of the parable of the fig tree in Luke. If I had to guess, I would say the emotion Jesus feels at the time is sadness. He is sad that the temple has become corrupt and will be destroyed. But since we aren't given any description of his facial expressions or tone of voice, we can't be sure.
Jesus was definitely never rude to his mother. You are just 100% wrong about that. He addresses her warmly and respectfully. And, he complies with her wishes, therefore honoring his mother.
And you have still failed to tell us why you brought up these two passages in the first place.
Are you trying to convince us that Jesus was harsh and insulting?
What does it mean to you to be an Exalted Man? Are you saying that you are a god or that you will be a god some day?
Bolded text does not really make sense. It does not need to be the case that "we all get lower salaries if inflation falls" in order for people to lose real buying power.
The currently higher salaries have not kept pace with inflation. So, buying power has been lost. If inflation falls then buying power will continue to fall, just more slowly unless people get MORE large raises. Those raises that people have already received are already baked in and have left people falling behind.
RightI meant that the opportunity is: if wages continue to rise at these rates but inflation falls back. Then we get some very serious wage gains.
But the two are connected, wage increases (without underlying gains to productivity or supply) add to inflation and vice versa. There's not a scenario where inflation disappears and large wage increases continue.

that's debatable. And depends what we mean by 'large.'
Say oil drops back to $50, the war ends, COVID in China ends, maybe a mild recession in Europe...so prices stabilize and maybe even fall. That does not reduce the labor shortage in the US. There would still be more openings than workers, which would cause wages to rise.
Your point is that if those wages rise then prices would to, but that's not a mathematical rule. For recent decades wages rose and we had 2% inflation. There's no reason we can't do that again. Especially with zero population growth. I have faith that the invisible hand could increase supply as needed.
This inflation bout is because of unique circumstances related to COVID and the war. Take those away and there's a whole lot less inflation but still a good economy.

What's this got to do with Biden?
Don't worry, it's coming around to Tesla, wind farms, or drilling permits soon, I think....

No, there are not. If a person kills a fig tree because he was disappointed that the fig tree had no figs, that is called being angry at the fig tree. Your demented postulate the J. Christ whacked the fig tree because he was sad, is looney. J. Christ was angry at the fig tree, so he used his special god-like powers to kill it. End of story.
J. Christ was rude to his mother at the wedding in Cana. That's he same day he used his powers to turn water into wine. YOU need to drink some wine, Fat. It will mellow you out and allow you to think clearer. Pour your fat self a big gonzington glass of red wine and start sipping it outside on the lawn. If anyone says anything, tell the you are striving to be an exalted man.
Biden could be a better president but republicans want him to fail so bad that they’d rather have the country fail because it will make Biden look bad. They also gladly ignore Jan 6. Republicans are disgusting
NOW: Brandon Straka, the "Stop the Steal" speaker and MAG’A insurrectionist has provided "significant information" to the FBI about January 6 rally organizers according to newly unsealed filings.
Walker will beat Warnock because Republicans are going to vote in force. I think Oz has too much baggage to be elected in PA, but Fetterman doesn't give off Senator vibes. Bouncer maybe? NY elects carpetbaggers, but I doubt PA will do it.

Biden doesn't anyone's help to make him look bad. It's all on him.
