Yeah.... but I think the poll is garbage. I followed the links to look at the survey. They got 2061 'Trump voters' on the phone to answer a ridiculously long survey. They DO NOT even say how many people hung up on them. Selection bias much? They admit that they cannot account for selection bias. So any 'margin of error' is worthless.

But even if one might concede that having a telegenic lawyer helps in the real world, I always imagined the guy with the Ivana to Marla to Melania sequence would think in only professional and serious terms when hiring counselors or top-level staffers, and I remain wholly convinced that Hope Hicks would have been granted a high position even if she were as homely as I am.

Yes. Trump's selective use of his paid attorneys is another way that he uses and abuses his own people. His two guys that are indicted in Florida are proof of this. Neither of these guys can afford any good legal help. So they are both using the same Trump paid for attorney. Here is the problem. One of these guys will likely be testifying against the other!

So there is a conflict of interest with that attorney representing both. This will be brought up in a motion this week. We will see how Loose Judge Cannon rules on it. But if the court warns that his conflict exists but it is their choice it will hurt them by not being able to appeal later.

Like you said, if Trump is anxious to get you an attorney it is for his benefit and not yours. These Mar A Lago guys are going to learn ETTD the hard way.

I don't know much about financial stuff, but here are a few Rudy-related things that I heard in the last week or so that I found potentially contradictory and/or rather annoying:

- He's out of money.

- He might have to declare bankruptcy.

- He might have to use a public defender.

- He is, or might be, selling his SIX-POINT-FIVE MILLION DOLLAR apartment !!!

WTF ?

Bankruptcy for the rich is a way to shelter assets. He is not broke in the sense that the average poor / middle class American gets broke. He has millions in assets, a place to live, and enough coming in from his assets that he will never have to worry about eating, shelter, etc. So don't worry about the rudy.

But he has fallen far by supporting trump lies and crimes. As have so many others and so many to come.

DJT quotes Rivkin on the former pres having been granted “Constitutionally-based immunity” that is “absolute immunity” (which applies to actions “within the outer perimeter” of his duties as president, even if they were unlawful acts).

I’ve seen some legal scholars dispute that claim.

However, if Rivkin and the former president are correct, that means that Biden has “absolute immunity” from prosecution in just the same way, and it seems that there is a very broad reading of “within the outer perimeter” that should enable Biden to engage in a number of unlawful acts that you and I would consider overturning the rightful results of an election in 2024.

I’m not sure why any Trump supporters or other Republicans would want them to be making that argument.

Even with bankruptcy Rudy will have serious financial problems because he badly needs good white collar lawyers and civil lawyers for his many legal matters. Those lawyers won't work for free. He also is under court order to provide discovery in one or more cases, that needs an expert document service to provide it. That service is expensive, and if he doesn't provide the documents he will have bigger legal problems. None of those problems are solved by bankruptcy.

You might wonder why Roger Stone had a documentary filmmaker following him around while he cooked up crazy conspiracy and crimes to overturn the election. (which is now great felony evidence.)

I can't believe that the Black Panther can do this to Trump. The kind of action that makes me hopeful of the kind of retribution Trump will be able to exact come January 2025.
