2:05:02, nice.
2:05:02, nice.
They'll probably call it 2:05:03
2:05:02. New course record.
That last little kick hurt. Blew a few tiny kisses, but not much smiling or celebrating across the line.
2:05.02. Huge disappointment.
THE KING IS NOT DEAD

wow - good for KB. The King is indeed back. Ball now very much in Mo's court.
Commentators on the second placer:
"Don't be confusing the ZehBra (zebra) croh'ssin' with the finish line--that's a schoolboy error!"
2:05:02 whooooooooo !!!
You can drop between 1 and 1'30 min on a faster course =>
On the London or Berlin marathon => 2'03"45 !
He got moved off the finish pretty quickly.
That course looked miserable. What a performance. Kenny B is a marathoner.
does the guy home came third have something going on his his left hand?
Kenny B is the GOAT.
wtf 2.05.02 is not an dissapointment. your lack of understanding distance running is a dissapointment.
2.05.02 in Paris might be equal to a 2.03.40 or less in Berlin
KB says he was worried about cramping in the last 8km
Bekele just said he was cramping at 8k from the finish and was worried about it.
I think he was being sarcastic.

Not to mention--at least according to posters on this thread--that the pacemaking was bad and outright nonexistent for much of the race. Potentially, kind of like his 5k world record, in which (I continually argue) the pacemaker seemed to be an obstacle for Bekele early on after which he had to run most of the record attempt alone.
with his track speed, you'd expect 2:02. Certainly in the view of the marathoners with zero track background who probably could not break 28.

12:55 and 26:43 is not that impressive of track speed. Solid, but not mindblowing.
Dont forget this course was dam hilly and he only got pacemaking to halfway.
