agree. I'd like to see a sub 1:48.45 performance to qualify for USA nationals.

yes please.
I agree that I hope o'brien does not double so that we can see roach and him battle in the 800m. I was at the conference meet where roach "walked" the last 10 meters to finish 1:51.1. At Swat he didn't look quite as smooth. I think he still has some time to shave off.

Yes Willie Hordge is running this Spring. He had no eligibility left for indoor. I was teammates with him until 2007 when I graduated from Buffalo State. He is running pretty well so far this season.
he is improving. he found the school and coach that meets his needs. other than DIII nationals he gets to run against the best competition every week anyway. If you haven't noticed track meets tend to attract DI, DII and DIII competition.
Look at the results from Swarthmore last night and you can see the 800 was loaded (and is each year) and for the 4TH year in a row a DIII kid won the fast heat of the 800m.
Why did Missy Buttry go to a DIII school? Why did Andrew Rock go to a DIII school? Why did EDWIN MOSES go to a DIII school? Why did Joan Benoit go to a DIII school? Why did Nick Symmonds go to a DIII school?
the chicks?
At Swarthmore, 6 out of the top 9 were DIII runners!
wow, the 800 and 1500 are stacked this year
does anyone have the rankings or seed time for nationals, in particular the steeplechase.
raceberryjam.com has everything for national lists
La Crosse last chance men's 1500 was super fast-
1 Brandon, Kyle St. Thomas 3:49.14
2 Vincent, Dallas Uw-Lacrosse 3:49.47
3 Hinrichs, Tyler Bethel Unive 3:50.15
4 Zdroik, Paul Uw-Lacrosse 3:50.53
5 Ekstrom, Wade Macalester C 3:50.98
6 McGuire, Andrew Uw-Oshkosh 3:51.25
7 O'Neil, Cullen St. Olaf Col 3:51.40
8 Gleason, Brandon Hamline Univ 3:51.79
North Central 800m results?
Looks like Brian McConnell of Elmhurst who placed 2nd? indoors and about 4th outdoors won't even get in because the times at NCC were too slow tonight!
Slow 1500. Looks like they all missed nat's

just as everyone on here hoped, o'brien is NOT doubling.
he is tripling
The lists are up.
Does Jimmy O'Brien have to run the 4x400? He is on the Ohio Northern qualifying team, but does he have to run it?
When are the 800 and 1500 finals?

If they have an alternate they want to bring (at their own expense unless he is already in another event) he wouldn't have to run it.
800 and 1500 finals are both on saturday, 1500 at 1:20pm and 800 at 2:50pm.

Really? He's got three teammates with a chance to be All-American if he runs it, and you want him not to? He can make a lifetime honor for his relay teammates if they make the final. It would be incredibly selfish of him to not run it.
Some predictions. I don't think O'Brien will win either (like last year) and Kosgei doesn't seem to be in as good of shape as last year either and Kaul has been running great.
I think other than the 1500, the women's races are a little less clear.
Men:
800- Bofa (Whitworth)
1500- Vincent (UW-Lax)
Steeple- Kosgei (Hamilton)
5k- Kaul (UW-Osh)
10k- Kaul (UW-Osh)
Women:
800- Bergstrom (Calvin)
1500- Mitchell (UW-Osh)
Steeple- Winger (Willamette)
5k- Kraayenbrink (Wartburg)
10k- McNamara (Tufts)
Craig Mac is transferring to BU
