Did Kamala get 1% of the vote in the Democratic primary before she dropped out because Democrats are all just racist and wouldn't vote for a brown person?
This article contains the results of the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries and caucuses, the processes by which the Democratic Party selected delegates to attend the 2020 Democratic National Convention from August...
What we don't know is what is happening behind the scenes with Kamala Harris. She knows that if she does nothing and Biden wins, she is almost guaranteed to assume the Presidency in the next four years. But first, Biden would have to win. Right now, Biden is behind and his dementia is likely to become more visible in the coming months.
OTOH, under the 25th amendment, if she can get 13 of the 25 members of Biden's cabinet to agree that Biden is incompetent to serve, she immediately becomes the Acting President. Given that Harris and Biden don't seem to be on the best of terms, I could see her doing this.
Of course, whether she can get those 13 votes doesn't depend on Biden's competency. It depends on the "what's in it for me?" for the 25 members of Biden's cabinet.

Interesting times.
She's wildly unpopular. I don't see Biden's cabinet agreeing to hand the reins to someone no one likes that has absolutely no chance in November.
She's gone through dozens of aids because she's insufferable to be around.
Other scenario. Biden stays in race, wins in November and by mid-2025 steps aside as President and Harris is promoted to President. True he can handle 4 more years but 9-12 more months perhaps.
The smart move would be to pick a new running mate.
He polls better than any of the other Democrats do against Trump so he's still their best chance even when he's clearly diminished. Kamala Harris's pets don't even like her. The plan should be to let him try to win the election and then use the 25th amendment to promote the new VP. The Biden family will not let Biden retire from politics while the entire family is under investigation. Plus Biden is still a complete narcissist like most politicians so he will think he's the best choice until his dying breath.
Maybe, but I can see that backfiring too. With the whole identity politics religion that the Dems pander to it wouldn't look great if brown woman Kamala Harris gets the boot because white old man Biden has become senile. Dems really do put themselves in tough positions with these ideas they push.

If you’re referring to between now, and the election, Harris assuming presidential duties by way of Article 25, would not make her the nominee.

My idea was to pick a new VP since Joe's ego (Jill) won't allow him to resign and then use the 25th Amendment after the election to install that VP as the president.
No one likes Harris. I don't see her getting the nomination in any scenario.
By what measure is Mr “eaten by sharks” and “unbanking” FUNCTIONAL?
yes, I do wear a mask in crowded rooms full of possibly-unvaccinated people; my wife does not, she got covid two weeks ago, and now we both have it. Happy?
Being vaccinated does not stop you from transmitting COVID and it does not stop you from getting COVID...
Stop? No, you’re probably right, it won’t prevent transmission or infection entirely; but it can and does greatly curtail transmission and reduce the symptoms— to those of a bad cold, in my case. Not perfect, you say? Well, good enough to spare the lives of this septuagenarian five-time cancer survivor with a mechanical heart; and his asthmatic wife who is recovering from a stroke. So yeah, I wear a mask, for your protection as well as my own, and yeah I’m glad I have had all my shots including covid, flu, shingles, etc., and got to live long enough to see Sydney set a(nother) WR and make the US Olympic team again.
I wish you continued robust perfect heath for decades to come. I will wear a mask and take a shot to help bring that about.

Given your medical history you should wear a mask whether the people you're gathering with are vaccinated or not. I'm healthy as a horse no need to wear a mask for my benefit.
If Biden is the nominee, I will vote for a 3rd party candidate, and if it’s Newsom, I’ll vote for Newsom. You would actually vote for Biden over Trump, but not for Newsom?
You might but the average midwestern is not voting Newsom. He's comes across as a slimly California used car salesman.

He’s not behind. Most Americans don’t care if he has dementia or not. He could be a vegetable, and he’d still win over Trump.
People don’t need to like Biden or whomever the Dems prop up. They just need to hate and/or fear Trump. And most Americans rightfully do.
Go ahead and keep telling yourself that. Biden’s about to win in a LANDSLIDE! No one cares about this debate! Just like Clinton was going to win in a LANDSLIDE! The polls said so.
The averages have Trump ahead by 3-8% in just about all the swing states. Democrats should’ve replaced him in March. It’s too late now. Not to mention replacing him after the convention would jeopardize their presence on the ballot in a few states (at least Ohio where I live). This is a cluster for the democrats.

Trump is leading Biden in New Jersey.
New Jersey.
You are not living in reality.
After the debate, there is no way Biden beats Trump. The electorate is still split largely along the lines of 2020. The Trump voters are very, very motivated and as organized as a group like them could be. They will not have a bunch of Dem voters switch over or attract a lot of independents because Trump 2024 is just Trump 2020, but really based and with swearing at rallies. What will happen if Biden runs is that Dem turnout will be sh$t and there will be enough votes for third party candidates to swing the close states to Trump. There are a significant number of Dem voters who are mad as hell at the party for trying to hoodwink them into believing that everything is ok with Biden.
If Biden is replaced, it almost doesn't matter who the replacement is. It will instantly energize Dem voters by sending a message that the power center of the Democrats is responsive to the masses and not a star chamber that decides everything and forces you to accept their choice or face another Trump administration.

Everyone Biden could be replaced with will support the same terrible policies which is why they all poll worse than Biden does.
Biden's appeal in 2020 was the lie that he was a moderate.
There are no moderates left in the democratic party and the country has seen this fact on display for the last 3+ years.

CBS poll shows that 72% think Biden is not capable of carrying out the duties to be president.
After the debate, you should say, no one would bet on Biden winning, but if he's healthy for a second debate and does at least as much as he did in the SOTU address this year, it'll be a dogfight and there are plenty of Trump issues still out there in the courts, despite the Supreme Court's worst efforts, to swing the moderates over to Biden.

You think for 1 second his team would agree to another debate? You must be as senile as he is! They are going to severely limit his time in front of crowds, only do brief interviews where he is given the questions beforehand, and brief rally stops with teleprompters and plenty of surrogates to give speeches on his behalf.

The issue with Biden isn't whether he did a good job of debating Trump. The issue with Biden is that his performance at the debate confirmed what everyone had long been worried about. Biden is suffering from age related decline in is cognitive functioning (he is also increasingly frail physically due to arthritis in his back) and has crossed the point where it is clear he just isn't able to do the job. So, Dems are saying that this is the most important election in history because a second term for Trump might mean the end of democracy, but we all just have to go along with a sundowning 81 year old because he still has some good days.
Trump right now is doing 3-4 events a day where he will get up in front of huge crowds and do an hour plus long speech that gets his supporters whipped up into a frenzy. Biden mostly does private fundraising receptions with big donors and highly scripted and short appearances at campaign rallies and other public events.. He rarely spends more than a few minutes available to the press and never gives extended interviews or press conferences.
And there are no more moderates left to swing an election. Turnout and voter enthusiasm are what decides presidential elections. Trump in 2020 wore out his welcome by failing to deliver on his agenda (other than cutting taxes for the wealthy) and bumbling through the pandemic. Biden is in a bit of a different position in that his only mandate was that he wasn't Trump. So, going into 2024, he has to come up with something other than I am not Trump. He is not a popular president largely because he stays hidden from view and has not been out in the public fighting back on the issues.
