I said congratulations. I just don't see this effort on the BU track superfast track as materially better than the 15:03 Tuohy ran last year in a slightly off race. That's all.

Yes this is a fast track but it is also sub 15, indoors and 6 seconds faster... it is a better time. Tuohy seems to hit a bit of a wall between 3.5-4.5k in her races that she has to work through.
Didn’t Tuohy run 15:12 there a year ago?

No, she ran 15:15.92 at the BU Opener

Forget the steeple and just go for the 5k in June. BU is fast but she can get top 5
With Alicia, cranny and schweizer she has a 0% chance in the 5. Why not at least try for the steeple
She had a tough outdoor, no doubt. But the BU track can be lightening. The one thing Tuohy has to work on imho is just ignoring expectations.life gets to her, like the rest of us. Whether an act or defense mecahnism or whatever. Valby does not seem to worry about anything.
Tuohy is under a much bigger microscope. Between the team and individual title and signing a NIL deal, she was understandably worn out a bit. Valby never seems to fatigue.
Lifetime bests:
Monson - 14:19
Valby - 14-15
Tuohy - 15:03
Parker should be coming back to BU for the 3k in Jan/Feb
We will see.I think Valby is physically where Tuohy was last year. As to the future...
It was great watching the Florida coach run back and forth the infield to push Valby to keep going. And great of him to continue the same for his runners in the following heats. Seems like a coach you would want to run for

Florida is scheduled for the Valentine Invitational on February 9, as is Huntington. Valby will take down the 3000m record and Wiley will take down the 1500m/mile records.

Knowing very little about him, it seems like a good coaching job in that Valby admittedly seems to have clashed with him at the beginning. Clearly they’re on the same page now, and he must be really maximizing the running she does with effective workouts.

Yes she has had a lot of pressure. Hopefully Tuohy gives herself a shot to go to altitude, and really do the pro thing, if that is what she wants.
Thanks!
Guys at 61/64/64 for first 1200. 4:12 at 1600
stuck on 64s 5:16 at 2000
slowed a little 7:56 at 3000
Parker Wolf moving up now...maybe he will win.
