Well it is his job. The concerning part for Bol is that the lawyer doesn’t even think they’re wrong necessarily just that it’s a close call. That’s not going to be good enough unless the B samples differ or further types of testing cast doubt.

Lol, there have been a dozen threads on this. Wouldn't surprise me.if a handful were using it by 87 or 88. Cacho for sure in 92, and probably Morceli too.
When was EPO first used as a performance enhancer?

Okay, I'll clarify. When was EPO first in widespread use? 1996? I don't think it was tested for until 2000 or 2004.
I would have found a way around it. Switching urine samples is my game. Athletics Australia has now named a meet after me.
Page 22 of one of the reports from the Senate enquiry states that Jane Flemming gave in camera evidence that: "Mr Plant came up to me at the javelin throwing area and asked me if I would urinate in a bottle for Sue Howland because she had been picked for testing. He gave me a drink bottle. I went and weed in the bottle and apparently it got passed off as Sue's urine sample." The report recognises that action as an "attempt to corrupt a drug test". Further down on page 28, the report says that: "The committee understands that Athletics Australia has now taken action against Mr Plant. The committee has received a copy of a letter dated 12 March 1990 from Athletics Australia to the Chairman of the Australian Sports Commission. The letter advsies that Mr Plant acknowledged a potentional error of judgement, and it has been agreed that he will not be considered for an further managerial positions with Australian Athletic teams." An improvement of 7s in 6 months for the 1500m is pretty impressive
He hadn't run it before or even really trained for it. He had just started taking it seriously, so he's going to have rapid improvement and then plateau, like anyone.
Peter Bol's Olympic and Commonwealth Games heroics ensured the 800m runner won his way into the hearts of Australian sports fans. Those hearts broke with news Bol had tested positive for EPO late last year. Now his team is se...

So he gets into the best 800m form of his life at 28 by switching to 1500m training?

Makes perfect sense. Why do you troll so much? Tell lies, defame and make rascist comments?
Would be really silly to take EPO at this time of season if you haven't ever tested positive at meets.
Without judging, what I do know about EPO testing, from standing right next to the instruments at a WADA lab talking to the analysts, is that positive tests are rife from just the general population, i.e. samples that just come in from police cases and attributed to casual use - internet supplied- by gym goers etc
That is by far the demographic that presents positive. I haven't seen a study done on this to delve deeper into it.
