"He is competing in the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon and currently leads the Mens Professional group."

That’s not Kara, but if a guy said that it would definitely be called “mansplaining.”
Seidel last 5k was at 5:20 pace. Sheesh.

Seth DeMoor Update:
First 5K in 16:45. It looks like he started conservatively.
10k in 33:09 (2:19:50 Estimated Finish). He is running with "Jordan" (the guy he ran with for a lot of the race in 2019).
15K in 49:46 (2:19:58 Estimated Finish).
Halfway in 1:10:31. Slowing down and has fallen behind Jordan.

Seidel's best is 2:25:13 from a flat London course and she ran 2;27:46 in Tokyo.

Bekele is dropped by Kandie
Kandie looking very comfortable, but fumbled his bottle coming down the bridge and dropped it. He may pay for that.

Laughed out loud at this, was thinking the same.
Anyone know where Gwen is? Did she withdraw because they wouldn't let her bring her vegetable steamer on the plane?
25k: 1:55:55 Lead has gone from 51 seconds at halfway to now 43 seconds. Top 3 in Chase pack is Kibiwott Kandie, Alberto Korir and Elkanah Kibet of US. Nageeye and Bekele are another 8 seconds back. El Aaraby now opening small gap on Faniel coming onto First Avenue.
Mile 15 - 1:13:10 (4:57)
Mile 14 - 1:08:13 (4:53). Kandie, Kibet, and Korir now breaking away from chase pack and trying to close gap.
Halfway - 1:03:57 Faniel and El Araby lead by 51 seconds - Chase pack at 1:04:48
Mile 12 - 58:24 (4:42) One-minute lead

That was Carrie Tollefson and she was right. Peres put on a surge right then. And yeah, it would be total cringe from a man. Not everyone can say the same thing. Deal with it.

I can still see Bekele. REmember, he has a history of being dropped and catching back up.
Looks like Kenny B's and Nageeye have been dropped
