Your handle, at least, seems new here, so let me tell you that none of the non-Trumpers listen to your "wrong thread" whining. Save the keystrokes.
Again, you can pretend that the "other side" is only telling you to be afraid of domestic terrorism. But of course that's not true. More broadly, they're clearly telling you to be afraid of a loss of democracy. And it looks like you care not at all about the values associated with trying to steal an election (i.e., valuing democracy). Of course, I could stop right there....IF Trumpism hadn't also shown a complete disregard for other really important values (and supposedly particularly "conservative values") like honesty, decency, respect for human life (gross COVID mishandling), abuse of executive power, etc.
Just the other day I had an old friend (and fellow conservative) tell me about the Rs aligning better with his values. And like you, he didn't address the "democracy" value that I assume that he and you had before Trump. Can you explain how that apparently means nothing to you now? Or at least why it means far less than transgenderism, or boarder policy/enforcement, or gun control laws, or political correctness, or forgiving student loans? And I won't even list inflation or the economy because again, you have no reason to believe that Trump/Rs would do any different/better.
About tying Rs to Trump, you're right, it doesn't "work" with far too many Americans. But it should. That's America's shortcoming, not a flaw in logic. One of two major parties in a democratic country has fully aligned itself with stealing elections and the man who clearly tried it. The citizens of that country should punish that party until it changes its ways on perhaps THE most important policy/philosophy issues one can imagine.
