Hi agip! During times of "war", people rally around the President & the flag. Trump just laid down the gauntlet to our enemies worldwide. He acts swiftly and decisively. North Korea, pay attention.
If this were Obama, he'd have talked about bombing the air base for 6 months, drawn lots of red lines then never done it.
BTW, Trump just destroyed the entire, "Putin's Puppet" meme.
MAGA!!!

yes they do, and Trump knows that. watch for his dismal approval ratings to go up now.
and remember, when Obama thought an attack on syria was necessary, he asked congress for authorization.
tyrant trump did no such thing. You are playing with fire, trumpers.

The problem is there is a high probability that Assad/Putin call his bluff and continue to do whatever they want. Also, the only message we are really sending is that we tolerate all of Assad's other means of killing civilians, but not chemical attacks. It's laughable that Trump wanted to badly to simplify this issue and now that he's the guy calling the shots he finds himself going back on his word and getting involved in messy Syria.

I guess he will.

Thank you for that.
he gets deleted when he talks about rape and bloody genitals.
that he has figured that out
tells you he's just a troll and you are making his day by playing with him.
Whether you call it trolling or not, he has spent much of his personal time in hate speech. This is not good for him.
Trump emboldened Assad with his previous actions and close ties to Assad's buddy Putin. Trump has blood on his hands for those dead in that chemical attack.
Now Trump attacks Syria..
He will drag us deeper into this conflict, which has no end. It's a losing position for the USA. There is no positive endgame in these conflicts in muslim countries. Surely we should have learned our lessons after being involved in many of these disasters:
Iran -- we prop up Shah, he falls to Islamic radicals, they hate us forever
Iraq -- we destroy a dictator and create a failed state, and strengthen Iran
Libya -- see above
But surely getting involved in Syria will turn out differently (eye roll). I'm sure Kushner can figure it out.

It's actually never that simple. If things escalate and we get dragged in any further, this will not help Trump's popularity at all. Over the past few weeks, Trump has been quietly sending more and more troops into Syria. If they start coming home in body bags the public will not be happy or supportive.
I don't think most Americans see the upside of fighting in Syria. It's pretty clear that as a country, we couldn't care less what happens to those people.

Yeah we're not good at toppling dictators, we leave places worse than they are, spend money and just get hated even more. Catastrophes like this can only be resolved with a truly joint international effort and a full obliteration and managed replacement of leadership. Aka it's too late. The countries in the Middle East are young and severely behind the rest of the world in many respects. They have to figure out their problems alone and within their region. Outside interference has never worked over there.

the weird thing, again, about Trump is that he over and over alienates his various bases.
He tried to take away healthcare from the deplorables
He had Bannon go in and threaten the conservatives
He has attacked another foreign country, alienating the alt right America firsters.
It's a strange strategy.
Or rather, it's a strange lack of strategy
America first! That's the Trump way.

Hitting the airfield last night wasn't necessarily the wrong move, but there was no reason to do it in such a hurry. Better to take a strong stance on chemical weapons by getting other nations and our own congress on board. Then go in and do some damage.
It's never wise to shoot first and ask questions later.

Yep. What it means to put America first is debatable. Why is he getting us even more involved in a losing game?

He wanted to send a message and it will work to a limited degree. His action was praised and supported by our allies and only Iran and Russia obviously didn't like it. We're already deep in Syria with our "rebel" support along with black ops and special forces, so this is not such a massive escalation of our involvement, so ok not to go through Congress when you want your actions to be a surprise and you believe it is a one time deal.
She voted for Trump and then Trump had her husband deported.
What an idiot.

Yeah this trump is just what you trumpers wanted.
Hey agip...You lost dude....grow up....
I'm sure you gave the same advice to Republicans after they lost twice to Barack Hussein Obama - to stop caring so much and adopt the Obama agenda.
Right?
