Pay attention to what they just said...Erassa and Korir spent time in Kenya training together. Unbelievable! Cheaters taking real Americans spots!! What a travesty!

Kipchirchir is the man. 4:23 first 1600!!!
Then Korir takes over at 1800.
I thought I saw in the heat sheets yesterday that Clayton Young was unatached but he's actually sponsored by Asics already. Good for him.

I just following the live results, I assumed this was a miss time. Did Bruce really run a 59 then follow up with a 77?
Wow. Completely missed that. That’s crazy.
8:51 at 3200. Lead pack down to 8
So for all of you HSers thinking you are going pro. Please realize they just ran 8;51 in the midst of a 10k.
“Quartet of americans going with this lead group” did I hear that right?
These guys without the standard need to keep the pace under 67... Not sure why they're letting it slow down

Lol.
Lopez Lomong with a 62 lap just now!
Lopez drops a 1:02, nice. He’s not messing around so far. Honesty thought he’d sit as long as he could.

Yup, and its right. Most of the guys up front are not training in the US...
So 3 packs have emerged. Maybe there was going to be some team strategy at play but Kipchirchir is head & shoulders above the rest. Korir looked like he was hurting. Good looks for Lomong & now he's up with Kipchirchir. If I were Lomong I might've just let him go & won the race for 2nd/3rd but maybe he can challenge for the win. Be interesting to see if anyone from that 3rd pack can come through & challenge for 3rd.

13:16 at 4800m is the standard pace, so only two guys are there and they both have entry to worlds already

Looks like the quartet is slipping away.

Niyonsaba and Amos are Americans then since they train in Portland
Lomong demanding more from the drum line. Love it

This means they have the standard, set by the IAAF, to compete at the world champs in Doha if the governing federation (in this case USATF) allows them to compete for their country.
Thanks!

Looking less likely from that third group
Leaders aren't under the standard anymore (by about .5).
Lopez has a big heart like Molly.
