Trust me, most of us Democrats are not voting FOR Joe. I'm from Delaware and have spoken with him several times, but I don't think he's anywhere near an ideal choice for us. He's milquetoast to actual progressives. We're being forced to vote against Trump because he represents/supports:
*Christian nationalism/theocracy (although I doubt he has a religious bone in his body, he knows he needs to court the evangelicals and governs as such)
*Project 2025 (truly "Handmaid's Tale"-level terror)
*demagoguery (he's literally said he wants to be a dictator and throws his support at maniacs like Putin and Orban)
*criminality (do I even need to explain this one?)
*dishonesty (30,000+ lies from 2016-2020)
*dismantling of fair elections and trust in elections (he only accepts results when he wins because he is the king of all narcissists; he invented the "voter fraud" problem specifically to erode faith in elections, achieving what the Russians/KGB wanted to do to America - that is, mindf**k us)
*obsession with victory/retribution/retaliation for perceived wrongs
*weird preoccupation with ratings/popularity (I think he has what I might call Willy Loman syndrome - his dad did a number on him)
*echoing Hitler during his speeches and on his Web site (calling opponents "vermin," convincing his base that illegal immigrants are all "rapists and thugs," calling for patriotic education and religious education (all Nazi talking points in the '30s/'40s)
*huge tax cuts for the ultra-rich (Reagan destroyed the middle class, of course, but Trump's tax cuts during his administration echoed Ron's absurd "trickle-down" ideas)
*late-night rants on Twitter that even a 12-year-old would find immature
*comically ridiculous anti-science/anti-intellectual rhetoric (telling Americans to take horse dewormer, saying we should nuke hurricanes, etc.)
*resorting to the odious "Gish gallop" during a debate (what other choice did he have, though?)
Basically, we need an adult in the room. Trump ain't it. As a Democrat myself, I can say that I am wayyyyyyyy more scared of the Christofascist infrastructure that has built itself up under Trump than I am of Donald himself. But yeah, the point is ultimately this: we're not voting for Joe. We have to vote against Trump.
