Two different things. Daniels is equating to what one can run while WA are point equivalents. It isn't like a 5k runner can score the same in the shot put.
As far as the WA equivilent, well that is another question unrelated to Tuohy which has been beaten to death in another thread.
It wasn’t beaten to death at all. There was no legitimate reasoning given.
So it probably needs a lot more attention, particularly if athletes expect to slide into the Trials and make the team without running the standard.
silly me thought some might like seeing some quotes from Adidas and the agent around the pro deal. But I guess all I did was provide an excuse for some losers to find some fault with Tuohy. Your question has no relevance to this thread and I will request it be deleted.

My post was more with finding fault with WA’s ranking system, which you tie into offending tuohy.
Neither Valby or Tuohy will likely make the team in the 5000 this year. You have four or five runners that are clearly ahead of them. But Tuohy's success is not based on making the team this cycle. As long as she keeps improving she will be fine.

regardless, I believe it falls into the category of "off topic or thread derailing post"
Other prediction methods like riegel would also say 14:45. The tables are not perfect but its tough to argue it is not worth at least sub 15 considering who she beat in that race, as well.
Yawn. If the big three are healthy Tuohy and Valby are not qualifying, period. Obvious issues aside, AW could conceivably qualify (the US 1500 on the women's side is very weak) and it won't amount to beans.
In Tuohy, adidas sees someone with vast potential on the track and a devoted fan base. Even though Tuohy has posted only 52 times on Instagram, she has 110,000 followers on the platform. That is more than any elite U.S. woman mid-distance or distance runner except for Molly Seidel (237,000 followers), Athing Mu (180,000 followers), Emily Sisson (133,000 followers) and Molly Huddle (112,000 followers).
“Katelyn has done an amazing job of just being really authentically herself,” said Jennifer Thomas, adidas’s vice president of global sports marketing for running. “She gets the most engagement from people following her whether it’s training or racing, but she doesn’t post anything she doesn’t believe in. She’s accrued this incredible following because she’s just really authentic.” Thomas said she has been following Tuohy’s career since high school when she became the first (and still only) runner to win three consecutive individual national cross country titles at the Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Ore.
[Ray] Flynn said all of the major shoe companies were interested in signing Tuohy to a professional contract. He declined to discuss financial details of the deal, but he said it was for multiple years and that “it’s one of the highest (deals) in the time I’ve been working” as an agent, which dates to 1989. Tuohy also has a marketing deal with Olipop soda. Flynn said he’s working on other sponsorships, too.
Good for her. Rojo said on the pod they were going for $600k per year.
To the haters, why would Adidas shell out that much cash without knowing the times she runs in practice? Tuohy is a brand, but she also has potential as a top US runner. Use common sense!

But that’s the problem, because WA used their points equivalents system that can factor into which athletes make the team. You evidently don’t understand that, judging by your shoutout comment, so probably all the more reason it should be discussed here more.
