2:52pt last K…great run/time, there’s more time to be had in a faster race.

Time to buy an arc trainer.
oh my god. 14:56
Kate Tuohy runs 14:39 if not sick.
Valby is on a different level right now. Very impressive.
Valby ran 2:52.82 for the last kilometer.
I think KT is amazing, but no ...
Congrats to her. You cannot anticipate how fresh an athlete will be this time of year.
Valby's time makes her the #8 US runner of 2023 ... and she did it on an indoor track.

I wish Rodenfels had gone under 15 too after doing all that work. 15:03 is a decent PR though
WOW … NC State alum/fan here.
Valbymania is real!
H2 9:24 at 3K...the BYU and NAU show
I might be the only person on letsrun like this, but:
I came from section 1, NY. In fact tuohys hs team NR stopped me from going to states in the 4x8, despite going top 8 at NSIC. I should hate her. But I love what she brings to the sport AND I also love what valby brings.
I like both of them as the future of USATF. I actually love the back and forth rivalry. Pressure makes diamonds and the rest of the world doesnt care about our HS or college phenoms.
Valby deserves all of the credit right now. And I'm upvoting all pro valby posts. Soon tuohy will come back too. There doesn't need to be a 1 VS the other.

Washed up grad student is enjoying a cigar and cognac somewhere.
Impressive by Valby/Rosenfels. Pv now has NCAA record and just missed Olympic q.
She can get that now in a 'dragged by pro field' race. The quick last k off the fast pace was very promising.
Now comes a well earned break, and they can plan out the 2024 calendar.
Broken clock.
Maybe you will be right about something someday. Valby is the fastest in history. Why not rejoice? I predicted that they wouldn't use the pacers.
Forget the steeple and just go for the 5k in June. BU is fast but she can get top 5
Fastest 5K ever run in the month of December according to alltime-athletics. that "15:12 pace" was a masterful bluff by Valby, great to be there to see it happen

I'll agree I had not seen that before and wondered if it was there, and it was today.
