CNN)US District Court Judge Esther Salassaid that a gunman who killed her son and wounded her husband in 2020 had also set his sights on Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, according to a CBS News "60 Minutes" report airing Sunday. Salas said that authorities found a dossier on Sotomayor in a locker used by the assailant, Roy Den Hollander, a lawyer who had a case before Salas and took his own life after killing her son Daniel.
And that is why the House Dems need to pass a Supreme Court security bill. The Senate already did - bi-partisan. Why are the House Dems holding up the legislation? I will tell you why - they are radicals and want the conservative justices to be scared stiff about their lives and their family lives to make them back off the abortion stuff. Senate Majority leaders has already called for their slaugher. Can it be any more clear?

Of course Sally is wrong on this. He has gone to the dark side and lets anger lead him.
Sally at some point you'll have to acknowledge that the Democrats don't think in evil terms like the Republicans do. Stop watching and reading right wing media. They are just trying to rile you up. It's their business plan. Don't be a sucker.
Here's what's going on. The Dems want more than just the justices covered by the bill. Regular employees of the Court. So there is negotiation to get that done. Pelosi says there will be a vote very soon.
"Action on Supreme Court security is “in the works,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Thursday, vowing to take it up “at the beginning of next week.” “It’s about staff and the rest. The justices are protected,” she said.
House Democrats are now “assessing options for quick consideration” of the security bill next week, according to a Democratic aide who spoke candidly on condition of anonymity. The chamber also faced a floor time crunch on Thursday, as dozens of members prepared to leave early this afternoon to attend the Summit of the Americas.
Does this mean Trump is going to be led away in handcuffs? That’s must-see TV. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
Nyt:
He had means, motive and opportunity. But did Donald J. Trump commit a crime? A House committee explicitly declared that he did by conspiring to overturn an election. The attorney general, however, has not weighed in. And a jury of his peers may never hear the case. The first prime-time hearing into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol this past week confronted the fundamental question that has haunted Mr. Trump, the 45th president, ever since he left office: Should he be prosecuted in a criminal court for his relentless efforts to defy the will of the voters and hang on to power? For two hours on Thursday night, the House committee investigating the Capitol attack detailed what it called Mr. Trump’s “illegal” and “unconstitutional” seven-part plan to prevent the transfer of power. The panel invoked the Justice Department, citing charges of seditious conspiracy filed against some of the attackers, and seemed to be laying out a road map for Attorney General Merrick B. Garland to their central target.
Does this mean we’ll see Trump perp-walked in handcuffs with a jacket over his hands. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿😂😂😂😂

It doesn't appear so clear-cut that democrats aren't doing what Sally suggests, or that they are doing what you suggest ...
Off the top of my head:
-No action has been taken against the protesters outside of the residences of Supreme Court justices... it is a federal crime to do so.
-Democrat leaders have been lashing out against conservative justices the last couple years, most notably Schumer's speech from a couple years ago that Sally references (although he did apologize for it and tried to walk back the rhetoric a day or two later IIRC, he has gotten off pretty light compared to members of the GOP for similar statements).
-Democrats in office proudly saying they don't want to consider it until more gun safety legislation gets passed.
-non-elected Democratic strategists, backers and left-leaning personalities saying congress shouldn't take action on further protections for Supreme Court justices and their families until more gun laws get passed.
There clearly seems to be a part of the democratic party, both elected and unelected, that believe this should be politicized in order to ensure that their gun laws get prioritized instead... even to the extent that they blindly try to take a shot at the GOP lawmakers for prioritizing protecting the families of the Supreme Court rather than "everyday kids" despite the comparative measure being that every school would have an armed officer present -- which is something that would be supported by the GOP lawmakers and I'm pretty sure has been proposed before only to be shot down by Democrats.
Also, I think there's a pretty big problem when you suggest that only GOP "think in evil terms" and that Democrats do not. Neither side is holy or good or above petty politics or anything of the sort. Democrats are just as bad as the GOP in that regard, and if you're arguing they aren't then you are far too biased.
Wow! These data should definitely be brought to court--or to Congress!
Actually, if the GOP takes a majority in either HoC this fall, I'd expect BS like this *will* be brought to Congress. No point in bringing it to any court, of course, where it'd be laughed out.
What won't be laughed out is how the national average price for gas is $5 for the first time - never has gas been as high.
Inflation is at 8.5% - the highest in more than 40 years.
For the first time ever Supreme Court justices are being targeted for assasination and we have the Senate Majority leader - Chuck Schumer - encouraging their slaughter.
The border disaster is worst than ever. We have an open border and Biden and Border Harris not doing a damn thing to stop it.
The baby formula has the worst shortage ever.
Car prices keep increasing day by day. The biden adminstration has done nothing to solve the supply chain problems. Transportation SEC - Mayor Pete is more interested in callinig highways racist than solving the problem.
This is just the beginning. Biden has done nothing to solve any of the problems. This was kind of funny a year ago - but not too funny now.
The stock market is tanking big time.
Well yeah. If you put it that way it looks pretty bad. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

You almost have to admire this kind of very straightforward deflection. The topic is someone's BS "election analyses," Numbnuts, and how they would never stand up under judicial scrutiny--which is why they might get taken to a GOP Congress, but never to a court of law.
Ah, but some grifter(s) will make money with them, fleecing the sheep, and who am I to object to private enterprise?

They're gonna need all that money to fill up their gas tank at $5 plus dollars a gallon.
Democrats don’t have Biden “boat parades”. They don’t fly Biden flags, drape themselves in Biden merch, drink using Biden beer koozies, they don’t get Biden tattoos or paint Biden’s face on cars… they don’t do any of that schitd, because they aren’t azzholes and not in a cult.
Nope- because Biden supporters hardly exist.
I would love to see a poll on how many voters in the 2020 election were genuinely excited for Joe Biden himself rather than voting on party lines &/or purely in opposition to Trump. I would imagine the numbers were low. Dems were hyped for Obama. Joe seemed to just be a filler for the “Anyone But Trump” campaign strategy.
Oh, he didn't watch it. Without question, he didn't watch it. Trumpers don't care to educate themselves. Most aren't capable.
The BEST case scenario for you idiots is the committee just quietly disappears.
If you get your fervent wish and make Trump ineligible in 2024 you GUARANTEE a Republican president in 2025.
Trump is your only hope.
You still don't get it. I mean, of course you don't.
1) Trump committed crimes.
2) Trump needs to be held accountable for those crimes.
3) Trump is a danger to our Democratic Republic.
4) I am vehemently anti-Trump and anti-Trumpism. I am NOT vehemently anti-Republican (not anti-traditional GOP). John Kasich, former Republican Ohio Governor, would make an outstanding President (even though I don't agree with him on everything).
5) I would MUCH rather see justice applied to Trump and his criminal supporters than have an easier path for a Democrat to the White House in the next election. My GOAL is not a Democrat in the White House. My goal is PUNISHMENT for egregious crimes and the protection of our Democratic Republic.
6) Trump needs to be punished for the crimes he committed, but ALSO so that no future President tries to do the same or similar thing. We should absolutely draw a line in the sand at a coup, and that's what was attempted here, a coup, a many-pronged coup involving the violence, the "Green Bay Sweep", fake electors, pressure from Trump to key states to "find" votes, and the attempt to get Pence out of the area.
What are you smoking? Fraud in the 2020 election was NOT proven, other than the handful of people who do it every election, this time more Republicans than not.
You are full of crap.
Statistical analysis of the movement of the vote totals in the presidential election (only -- not in the congressional races) in the days after the election (the mail in votes) in PA, WI, and MI show that it is pretty much certain that fraud did take place.
Ha! Um...nope! Sorry, not proven. Not even close. Ya lost! You know, since you think we rigged the election and then obviously we got away with it, you know we'll do it again, so no need for you to vote again. Just stay home.
I have brought up Seth Keshel many times concerning election fraud. He has done exhaustive research. His background is in analytics. Most of you ignored his work. Add his research to the 2000 Mules research and we have a ton of data documenting fraud.
According to Seth Keshel, Donald Trump has won the elections for : PA, MI, WI, NV, AZ, GA, MN It is very Likely and possible that Donald Trump won elections in these regions if cyber flipping occurring: NM, VA, CO, NJ, NH
Please look at this election map, it is broken down to the county level and shows which areas had the most fraud (colored in red). Keshel calculated that Biden received 8,144,000 fraudulent votes.
A bunch of BS. Such a load. Well, you are another one then who should stay home as Democrats apparently know how to steal an election and not get caught. Guess that makes us really smart, eh? Just stay home. Ya lost! Since Democrats have figured out a way to steal elections, your vote will never count again. Just stay home. It's only the right thing to do knowing your philosophy. I mean, only an idiot would take ANY time out of their day to vote if they were sure the opposing party was just going to steal the election anyway.
Why do you even waste your time posting here? Your guy will never win again since Democrats have figured out how to rig an election and not get caught.

A poll like that would mean nothing. It doesn't matter WHY we voted for Biden. It only matters that we DID. OF COURSE the vast majority of us voted for Biden because we felt he was the best one to beat Trump, and then in the General Election, we voted for him again, and he beat Trump...as we knew he would.
The ONLY reason you would want to see a poll like that is to somehow feel good that most of us aren't giddy about Biden. We don't worship Biden like Trumpers (you obviously) worship Trump. We don't plaster Biden overtop of an American Flag. We don't fly Biden flags or go to off-season rallies, or draw fantasy images of Biden with biceps bursting...because we're not imbeciles, because we don't have the social skills and awareness of 7th graders.
We were excited about Obama because his election was historic. Yes, we liked him better as a candidate aside from the race issue, but Biden's election will be seen by History as more important...because it got a serial lying, autocrat, POS out of office.
But I will point out that whenever Democrats call for prison reform or justice reform, Republicans are nowhere to be found.
Lame excuse. You have the majority in the House and a tie breaker in the Senate.
So you are upset about the conditions of January 6th prisoners, but you don't want Republicans to support legislation that might solve the problem. Instead, you want Democrats to solve the problem. Sounds like you are supporting the wrong party.
The plan is outlined in the Eastman memo. The dots are connected.
And as the hearings continue, those dots will be connected even stronger. Here is a sampling of what you will see in the coming days if you aren't too afraid to watch. Of course, Trumpers are afraid to even read what follows:
"There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain."
I see you continue to refuse to answer how many insurrectionists had firearms inside the Capitol on Jan 6. Why? ❓❓❓❓❓
We had a long discussion about that already. You claimed that there were no guns, which is completely false. We know that at least some did because several were indicted on firearms charges.
The only way someone could get indicted on firearms charges would be if they were arrested that day or the video happened to show their guns. But almost all of the defendants were arrested after being identified from video. So unless the video revealed their guns, then firearms charges would not be brought.
Extrapolating from those arrested who had firearms charges brought against them and knowing that most guns would not show up on video, I'd say that probably 5% to 10% carried firearms that day.

This is true. Biden won because he was acceptable to most Democrats and also acceptable to Independents, all of whom mostly just didn't want Trump to win.

Let's be very clear on something. The Liberals and the mainstream media keep trying to portray the events of January 6 as an inssurection, which is defined as a violent uprising against the government. Yet, here we are a year-and-a-half later and ONLY 3 INDIVIDUALS HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITH BRINGING A GUN ONTO THE CAPITOL GROUNDS. What the heck kind of insurrection is that? Only 3 had guns? Aren't you supposed to bring massive firepower to an insurrection? Were they attacking with flags? Couldn't the Capitol police just shoot them if all they had were flags?
From CNN:
Firearms "So far, with the investigation still ongoing, three individuals have been charged for allegedly bringing a gun onto Capitol grounds on January 6. At least two other individuals have also been charged with gun crimes in relation to the events of that day, though they are not accused of carrying on Capitol grounds. According to police testimony, Christopher Alberts was arrested leaving the Capitol grounds on January 6 while trying to flee from officers after they suspected he was carrying a firearm on his hip. Alberts was carrying a loaded pistol and 25 rounds of ammunition, according to court documents. Guy Reffitt has been charged with illegally bringing a handgun on Capitol grounds on January 6. Reffitt allegedly told family members he "brought his gun with him" in the Capitol attack. Mark Ibrahim, who at the time was an off-duty special agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration, has been charged with bringing his service weapon on Capitol grounds during the insurrection as well as lying to the FBI about why he was at the Capitol. Another individual, Cleveland Meredith Jr., is accused of possessing a pistol and rifle without "a registration for any firearm in Washington, DC," which were recovered by the FBI a day after the insurrection. According to an officer statement, the individual arrived too late for the Capitol riot and talked about killing Pelosi in a text conversation."

You are a child.

It's all about our future. We must secure a future in this country where we are not under the rule of an autocrat.
These hearings are ultimately about government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

so if pelosi holds a vote in next week or two you will correct yourself and apologize for your calumny, right? Of course you won't.
And no, I will not go down the road of 'the dems and rs are equally reprehensible.' That's vile nihilism. One party voted to toss out the election. One party insists on taking away health insurance. One party insists donald trump was a good president. One party spreads lies day and night and encourages its members to not get vaccinated. One party makes naked racist appeals. One party asks Russia to help it. I could go on and on and on.
Dems make errors and people like AOC are regrettable, but the Rs are awful from the head to their toes. Awfulness is hard to find among Dems - you really have to look for it.
