The National Park Service says the Indiana woman became "pulseless" after emergency personnel reached her on the trail and resuscitation efforts failed.
After 4 years of a computer science education and a few years working in research, never once have I heard someone say it's ridiculous to provide source code. I also provided links to the Strava streams, the same data that Sneakers claims we are not smart enough to access. I would love to do some real analysis, not an Excel histogram like Sneakers, but I'm too many years removed from this. It would take me a whole-@ss weekend because I suck at writing Python now. I proposed better methods for analyzing HR, but Sneakers decided it wasn't worth taking a look at it.
Why in the world would it take you a whole weekend to do what I already did? You might want to rethink your level of "education" and "research" compared to mine. You think I haven't already grabbed the heart rate data and analyzed it? It wasn't that I didn't look, it was that I realized it was not worth the effort teaching you.
After analysing fish I've learned how to breathe underwater. You're probably too dumb to understand so I'm not going to tell you how I did it, and there's no way for you to prove me wrong. This is how you sound.

First, Sneakers has done some real work on the data. He has chosen some metrics, provided the link to the data source (the only to do so, if I recall correctly), described his method, and provided his results in an understandable format. Not only is this far more than most others appear to have done with the data, but he has been pretty transparent about it. For people to question him because he hasn't provided all his code is ridiculous. I can understand a digging in of the heels by Sneakers (but not the arrogance). Spot check his work, and if you find something amiss, assess together with him whether it is you or he that has made an error. Until that has been done, I see no basis for questioning the work he put in (which, granted, was largely automated). For people to question the legitimacy of a stride length calculation, given cadence and ground speed data, indicates lack of understanding, plain and simple: what is simpler than dividing two numbers, which Sneakers said was done [correctly] with smoothing. I've observed in the past that there seem to be many on LRC who are capable of the data analysis Sneakers did, and who could easily check whether it is correct. Approaches to noise reduction might differ a little, but the time to discuss those differences is after an attempt has been made to reproduce some of his results.
On the flip side, Sneakers has rested on his chosen metrics, as if they settled the case and there were no need to look at anything any more. They do not. They are his chosen metrics.
Thank you, you get what I did and articulated it well. I didn't show anything complex, it was just downloading of the Strava data and plotting it in appropriate graphs with straightforward calculations to get rid of the mangling of the data that Strava graphs do to prettify them. Anyone should be able to do what I did without too much effort....or so I thought....most of them still haven't figured out how to download let alone how to plot after over 100 pages of this thread and someone giving them an answer.
It wasn't so much that I rested on those metrics and not look into the heart rate portion of the data and found what is causing the patterns, but rather realized that even if I show what is going on in the heart rate data, Cockerell and his shills will just act like when Ashley Paulson released her data and I saw they have no ability to understand. Just not worth the effort for me trying to teach them.
You are observant and very likely see my tone changed from normal to arrogant from the start of this thread to later on. It's simply because I got tired of how arrogant, conceited, and fraudulent Will Cockerell is and me trying to educate his shills. What Will Cockerell has done with his fraudulent claims of data analysis he did not actually do is extremely harmful and for me is offensive to the work I've done in past investigations.
I now just speak in a manner they are familiar with so they don't need to furrow their brows so much. I'm treating Cockerell and his shills the same way Cockerell called Goodge and his crew "You're a fraud!!! You're a fraud!!! You're a fraud!!!" straight to their faces.

What past work have you done in past investigations?

You are giving a masterclass in BS
Considering this is LRC, that's a big compliment to be able to teach how to BS amongst all the highly ranked BS'ers on here

I don't think he meant that literally.
For all watching, the lack of dynamism is a clear cut way to spot a shill. These idiots have no idea what they're doing. To anyone familiar with message boards, the shilling is obvious to the point of being cringeworthy.
Either this is is a tech fail, or it's not. Which is it? You simply refuse to commit to that.
I don't need to. My point is that WG has on several occasions recorded low heart rates when he was certainly running at 9/10 min mile pace. Whether that's down to him actually having a low heart rate, or the vagaries of wrist HR monitors, I have no idea. It doesn't matter. The point is he was running. The problem is yours, because you think the monitors are reliable and the HR rate impossible.
How about you committing to what you think they are doing?

I have committed: the third option, that you have conveniently omitted.
We all know the super low heart rates are impossible; and one gigantic 4 year, 14,000k tech fail for two different runners [business partners] failing in identical manner, but only in these events, is also ruled out.
So therefore the only remaining option is some sort of manipulation or tampering with the equipment or Strava - hence it even failing when he's running.
When fitness influencer William Goodge ran across the country to raise money for charity, his feat received unprecedented scrutiny from hardcore running fans

Roswell, Big Foot, and Lochness
You can't have investigated very well if you think Loch Ness is one word! Loch is the Scottish word for lake, in case you didn't know. Lochness isn't a town. You're a space cadet!
" Cockerell says that he had to cut his investigation short for his own safety after Goodge tried to enter Cockerell’s vehicle and at one point threw a rock at his car. Balenger confirmed this, but said that Goodge’s reaction was in response to Cockerell’s reckless driving, for which he had been reprimanded by an Oklahoma State Trooper. (Cockerell denies doing anything to endanger the crew and told me that his encounter with the patrolman had been “absolutely charming."
Just like I wrote many pages in this thread before (that Cockerell then reported for deletion) that Cockerell was driving dangerously and endangering the lives of everyone (including repeatedly putting Goodge's life at risk) and Cockerell should be put in an insane asylum.

I got a friendly warning for taking too long to pull off the hard shoulder, that is all. Have a copy of it. WG and co walked/ran opposite side of the road to car. If there was ever a remote concern about my driving, any one of the 5 crew could have dropped me a line at any time, but of course they never did. The reason for the rock throwing was given by James: W had had enough.

Had enough of you endangering everyone's lives with your reckless driving. You need to get your eyesight checked. If you drove in the opposite lane to Goodge on a highway and traveling in the same direction, that means you forced the cars and trucks behind you to go into the opposite lane to pass, the lane where Goodge is running. You indeed repeatedly put Goodge's life at extreme risk.
