And it is the Democrats that are clicking on all the dislike arrows? Weird, right?
I know, reality is really hard. But luckily you can just rely on your feelings instead. And your feelings are hurt. That's all that matters.
Reality? Phhhht!
I am talking about letsrun as a whole. Look Biden is a fake puppet that is it, if you like leaders that allow others to run the show behind the scene and just try and show face that is you. I like a leader that will stand side by side with me when I am going to war. Biden would run the other direction and that is a fact the man is scared and timid and does not belong at the helm of our country. As a military veteran I have seen his personality in a war zone and they don't do well I can tell you that.
Would that be "President Bone Spurs" by any chance?

I'll take fake bone spurs over fake asthma every time.
Without EV's we'd be perfectly fine. In fact, 99% of us wouldn't even notice a difference.
So farming didn't exist before fossil fuels?
Seriously, fossil fuels will be phased out for farming as well. It's just a matter of time.
Did we forcefully phase out horse & buggy when Ford began manufacturing automobiles? No, we let the market dictate and allowed the technology to expand.
The same should go for today. We continue with fossil fuels until alternate energy catches up and surpasses. Do that and our economy will flourish as before.
People were using horses to get around not too long ago. How did that go?
Gas cars are dying. EVs are taking over. It's just a fact.
Dude, you just don't get it. The entire world economy is dependent on crude oil- countless products, services, supply chain, transportation. It touches everything, yet we have an idiot in the WH who decided to turn off the spigot and then see the entire US economy crash & burn.
Americans ultimately vote with their wallets and in 2024, Biden will be replaced by the GOP candidate. Your party is getting destroyed this November & beyond. The newly elected 2024 POTUS will have a gigantic mess to fix.
Yes, the world is dependent on crude oil. That doesn't mean it has to be that way forever.
But Republicans are setting out to make sure that we continue as slaves to oil and gas.
Republicans will lose this battle eventually. Gas cars are dying and EVs are taking over. EVs will win no matter who is elected. It's just a question of whether we embrace the future or try to fight it.

That's exactly what is happening. The market wants EVs.
The government does have a role in providing a smoother path for new and better technology. That's why the government started building better roads once it was clear that cars would replace horses.
Democrats are embracing the move away from fossil fuels. Republicans are fighting it.

It doesn't have to be forever with oil. We MUST allow the new technology to expand and get adopted via market forces. We cannot allow a government to step in and pick sides.
You cannot punish one industry before the new technology is ready to be used universally and before the infrastructure has already been put into place. We are jumping the gun here. Until EVs have ubiquitous charging stations in every town, city, etc we cannot continue to hamper our domestic oil production.

Step out your leftist bubble for a moment.
When EV technology catches up and surpasses internal combustion engines, then their will be no need to hamper oil production. It will happen naturally and the majority of people will buy EVs then, just like the time when horse & buggies went away.
Until that day comes, we must maximize oil production at home. Common sense approach, wins.

of course government can favor one industry over another.
every nation does this. heck, your boy trump did this, over and over and over with his tariffs.
One of the jobs of gummint is to prevent the tragedy of the commons...the idea that if a common grassy area in a village is controlled by market forces, livestock would eat it all up and impoverish the village. Government has to control market forces to create long term growth and wealth.
Gummint's job is to help insure the long-term health of the nation. it's 100% clear that the era of carbon is on the way out. Gummint helping the nation get a boost and advantage over other nations is a core concept.
remember when repubs mocked Obama for supporting Tesla in its early days? Rs called Tesla a loser. Now look at it....one of the greatest companies ever to exist. Might not have happened without that seed money from Obama's WH.

You voted for a guy with more draft deferments than Trump has.
If you were more intelligent you'd pick a different hill to die on.
My question for all of the Democrats that love the Biden's so much yet hate the Trump's. The question is if there was a giant bowl of cocaine and Donald Jr and Hunter Biden are in the same room left alone who is going to fail the drug test?

Yea the Obama administration gave over $90 BILLION to their buddies in failed green energy scams. Dozens of companies and Tesla is pretty much the only one that didn't steal the money and disappear.

My question for you is what position in the Biden campaign was held by Hunter, which Russian spies Hunter met with to secure stolen goods, and which election Hunter tried to overturn.

Until EV technology is ready for universal adoption and we already have just as many charge stations as gas stations plus a beefed up grid to handle the load, then we can say goodbye to fossil fuels. We are least 10 years way from that, probably 15 years.
Until that day comes, we must ramp up our domestic oil production so that we don't have our POTUS raiding our Strategic Petroleum Reserve and begging OPEC to increase production. We cannot remain dependent on other countries for our energy needs, especially when we have plenty of our own.
The two pronged approach is just common sense and there is no need to inject politics here. I hope our next POTUS adopts this energy strategy starting in Jan 2025.
