Nope. Dude got by on 50 mpw in high to two FL titles...he gets it handed to him on a silver platter.
Glad to see him go back to California...DENIED. Note, I did not use devastated. ***
You think he’s not putting as much mileage/effort into the sport as he could? I know he’s been focusing a lot on academics in the past. To be honest, I don’t know any of these guys’ training methods much.

Nah, I'd go with his teammate Ryan Forsyth Isai Rodriguez or Aaron Templeton. Great day for Dressel tho,

Not Florida. Grant won in San Diego, twice.
He just took 2nd over a 10,000 meter race in and barely got beat by a guy who lives on the course. Grant did fine.
Colorado’s 5th! Ugghhhhhhhh
Ruined an otherwise perfect day for CU. I was dying just watching them fall down the rankings without a 5.
How did Wisconsin finish?

Then my bad. It was in Florida win Dathan ran and won twice, so that's what I thought he meant.
I still think Grant did outstanding.
Well, the highlight for me was being able to watch the women's individual race, as Rohrer made it honest, others took over the lead after her, Kelati went for with about 1500m to go, and Dani Jones chased her down in the final straightaway. Some good drama there.
Wish I could have caught the men's individual race, as top 3 finishing within a second of each other is a real cracker. Oh well.
That's enough from me, time to go for a run of my own.

I guess that we will have to wait another year before we see an American win NCAA XC (Rupp 2008)

Not awful, but I think they definitely underachieved a bit outside of McDonald and Hoare. Ranked third heading in, finished eighth on their home course. I'd imagine from a team perspective they're probably disappointed.
So much for homecourt advantage
Baxter post race on what he was thinking when he fell back, "I talked a lot of crap before hand so I kind of had to say in it. I was thinking about the team. I was hurting from pretty early on."
Coach Smith - “There phenomneal athletes . There minds are just so tuned in to what this takes. They don’t get distracted on the wrong things."
Smith was asked if he was worried when Baxter fell off, "I would probably be worried for other athletes. But I told my staff, I'd be worried if it was anyone but Matt Baxter."
On the strategy, "We knew if we had a lead at halfway we'd be tough do deal with. They arenn't going to fall off a cliff?"
