adam brandt GOAT 2017
The Adam Brandt plug was obvious, BUT, he does have a point. I don't anticipate the 5k nor the 3k to be taken from the gun or have the pace pushed by anyone. So we are back to old fashioned MIAC kicking parties. So it might come down to who has the better footspeed that last mile.
Who are we thinking here?
Newsum still
He does have the best resume in terms of track speed...
I sure hope he takes it. St. Mary's needs something.
RUMOR: MIAC XC 2017 NOT at Como Park
That's been pretty blatant since the coach's meeting.
Will likely be at St Olaf.
Heard the same thing this past fall. MIAC probably just needs to pony up a little more dough. Been some mild fall days in late October and they'd probably pull in more than the 1k that the MIAC pays them to have the course. Course damage is negligible. Wouldn't mind conference being moved to Northfield though if I'm being honest.

What happened to Morris, their 400m runner?
That's a great question. Hurt? Abroad? Transfer?
I'm curious, as well.
So where is all the talent racing at this weekend/who is doing what?
Are the Olaf big dawgs going to the University of Minnesota home meet to chase national qualifiers, or are they going to stack their DMR and try and get a qualifying time for nationals at their home meet?
What about Carleton? DCG running a fast 800m before conference? Maybe another mile?
Are the Gustavus boys all running the 3k again to try and solidify their spots in the fast heat at conference? Or will they take their chances and do something shorter like the mile?
Concordia is going to the UND meet, Supinski and Lillehaugen running the 800m there?
St. John's at Olaf, Bugler in the 1k and the other boys in the 3k?
Jovan and St. Mary's at Steven's point, what does he do there?
Why would Bugler run the 1K this weekend? He's almost certainly going to run the 3K on day 2 of MIACs since he's probably the favorite to win it. I sincerely doubt he's going to run the 800 on day 1, so I'd bet he runs the mile this week to get a seed time for that.
Wouldn't he just DMR anchor again? He could run the mile and get 3rd or 4th (assuming Coffey, Eggars, and Jerry run the mile), or he could run on a stacked DMR and go for the win there. He's done it the past 2 years.
My question is where is Coffey in the 3k? 4:08 mile, XC all-American, and 14:38 5k would all indicate sub 8:30 potential.
But actually. Maybe he runs an easy qualifier this weekend? Or, like the poster above said, do they stack a DMR?...
mile and 1k double seems pretty likely. Won't kill his legs. That said, a week between nationals and conference, anything is possible.
i second this morris dennis question, partially because morris dennis is the best thing to happen to st marys and partly because there isnt enough 400 talk on here
...he transferred to mankato...
Every post I put up is deleted. Why?
Maybe you had a word on one of your posts that the moderators didn't like. If they "ban" you for any amount of time, all posts from your IP address are deleted. Weird, I know.
AND TRANSFERED TO MANKATO?? Damn...
At least we still have Klamm and Bethel's 400m stars. Still waiting on Joey Cook to live up to the hype.
I am thrilled to watch the Klamm squad take on manni egbujor and barinedum. Those dudes can run. Hopefully they all end up entered in the 400, though i could see the augsburg guys particularly running 60/200 instead.
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
Does not wanting my kids to watch a bisexual threesome at the Olympics make me a bigot?
