Not as funny as WAT CHING you try to run 2 laps in khakis and a frat shirt.

Golly rojo, are you clowning us? Nobody could be that stupid or write that badly.

True 13:05 (13:02 last year)
Hill 13:05
Jenkins 13:07
Derrick 13:08 last year
Something is telling me at least two of these guys will break 13 next year given that it is common for athletes to leave their best seasons in the Olympic Year. True will probably have his career year next year in trying to make the Olympic Team, Jenkins is relatively new to the scene and is expected to improve. Hill and Mead are also running better than when they were in college. As for Rupp, he does not want to give up the 5000m spot unless he ditches the event entirely.
Jenkins, being the youngest, has the most upside. If he can stay healthy he could make a big jump next year. Derrick may, but he seems more a 10k runner like Ritz. Hill, I don't know if he'll ever break 13. Rupp and True are both 29, not a lot of upside there.

Nice try by Simpson cutting way over into Rowbury's lane at the finish
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmMISGfehgcI'd love to see a post race interview with Simpson after this. "We are not rivals. She hasn't beaten me in years." Lol sometimes you should keep your mouth shut. Rowbury has beaten her every race since! Haha
Chump move by Rowbury. Sit and kick is one thing, but to sit on the leader of the CHASE pack and outkick them at the end is sad. Jenny put in the work to try and close the gap to the leaders/run a respectable time--Rowbury used her up.
Congrats to your sit and kick third place Rowbury...

Yeah, could you run anywhere near 13:09? Long season, not his event.[/quote]
A poster's 5k PR is irrelevant. Long season? He didn't race that much outside of worlds. The 10k is his event? Nah. He just can't hang on the world stage. All that money and pampering and he's still just an also ran. I'm tired of watching Americans getting destroyed in these races.

Why don't you get out there and show 'em how it's done?

that looks a heck of a lot like a medal, chief
Not sure what BS you posted because permissions will not allow me to see it. Is it a pic of Shannon with her HS medals?

1) She corrected the person interviewing her. They made a factually incorrect claim.
2) She is a former world champion. She can say whatever she wants.
3) No, Rowbury has not beaten her in every race since. Jenny beat Shannon in a 3k last week.
Maybe you should take you own advice rather than make incorrect claims.

Well, I knew some idiot would say that. There you are! Such a BS counter.
It doesn't bother you that this is the best the USA can do? 318.9 million people and we still can't find somebody to run better.
2) She is a former world champion. She can say whatever she wants.
Her world championship gold came in a weak year in terms of competition. It's a fluke, if anything.
Here is a link on youtube of the entire race:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjss1ilQJeM
Shannon was in front of Jenny at 400m into the race
Jenny started moving up to 5th place (not including the rabbits) at about 1:25 into the race. Shannon was towards the back of the pack and starts working her way up with about 800 to go (2:11)
At that point, Jenny is trying to make a move on the outside and Shannon tucks in on the rail behind 4 runners
Shannon starts moving on the outside at about 2:35 into the race and is on the outside next to Jenny at 2:46 into the race
At the bell (3:18) Jenny is pushing the lead with Rowbury behind her
This race scenario does not support the statement that Jenny was Shannon's rabbit during this race
On the contrary, they were both running their own race strategy

WOW! 2009????????
That is VERY significant in the year 2015.
Is it gold like Jenny's World championship medal or the many US championship medals?

And her silver 2 years later also a fluke. DL Champion? Another fluke. Two DL wins this year? flukes as well. USTAF champion.. She has had a lot of flukes in her career.
Rowbury - bronze 6 years ago after the first runner to cross the finish line was DQed. Definitely not a fluke.

I didn't know either one was a drinker. Nothing funny about that.

You almost had a point until you referenced USATF champion. LOL. Where was she in London? Where was she in Beijing 2015? Oh, that's right.

Good thing she backed it up with a silver in 2013 as well as a world #1 ranking in 2014.

yeah, 2014 was another brutal year in terms of competition. no olympics or worlds.
