Anyone think that Carlos could have gotten the team DQed with the pass at around 4:56 in the video? Hard to tell how much he impeded the Lexington kid but it's close. Congrats to Westerville North on the title regardless, insane anchor from Gabelman.
That was an insane anchor leg by Gabelman! I can’t believe he ran all those guys down! Anyone know what he split?
I had him in 1:50.82
Damn! Perhaps the best HS boys 800m runner in the State of Ohio this year and he isn't even in the open 800m.
Since we're calling out people on predictions, I will call myself out. A few pages back I said the winning team would run a 7:42--I'm glad I got that one wrong. Excellent race.
WN really needed Wise and Carlos to come through--just keep WN within striking distance to set up Gabelman and they ended up doing that very well. That was a good move to lead off with Dellasanta, who should podium in the 1600m.
I'll hold on to my other prediction stating the 1600m will be won in a time of 4:07 . . . and I'll say it'll be Gabelman.
Dare I say he also gets the 3200m to round out an epic triple?
I'll say it now . . . Ricchiuti won't win the 3200m.
Lmfao this aged like milk
Not a terrible prediction but obviously didn’t pan out. Didn’t take into account Gabelman having dead legs after an epic 800 split followed up by winning the 1600m. Not a lot of gas left in the tank
The Div 1 3200m champ will be sub 9:00 if weather is reasonable. He will NOT be any of the names mentioned above - he will be from NEO and he will be an underclassman...just sayin'

Indeed. Given the benefit of hindsight, should Gabelman have tried the 800/1600m double instead of 3200?
