Today an amazingly easy breathing hill rep workout, 20 x short hill near my home. Felt like I could have run 20 more at same fast pace if forced to😲😁 . Rest just walk back to start. Will make a test at treadmill running 4min/ km soon after new years eve. Will soon have some fine days in Spain again visiting the love of my life. Will be some fine days there running in around + 15 C.
My coaching and the Dancan system keep on delivering fine results . Today Sammy wrote to me; " Hello coach. We had good results from Singapore marathon. Our lady was position 5 , Shauline Chepkirui. Indeed DANCAN system is working out well " . 🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪
Running in my Sweden is a very little sport and the talents to find is the same as looking for a needle in a haystack.
I think you are exaggerating. In the past 5 years, Sweden has had Euro 800m silver medallist Andreas Kramer, Euro 5k 4th placer Andreas Almgren, World champs 1500m 9th placer Kalle Berglund and more. You also have some young talents, Emil Millan who ran 28:23 in old spikes, just over the European junior record. Jonathan Grahn ran 7:43 and also narrowly missed an old European junior record. Norway and Denmark are also churning out top level talent, so I think blaming inferior genetics is taking the easy way out. You are obviously not gonna recruited to an American college as a head coach, so if you want to truly test your system you should go domestic.

Well, sometimes talents pop up in Sweden too, but still running is a very small sport in my Sweden compared to football ( soccer) , ice-hockey and handball.Besides my Dancan system already truly is tested with young Kenyans and fast improvement. The genetics are good in the Swedish youths too, but most are interested in the sports where the big money is.

Plan A for me is to live in Spain or Ukraine in 2 years from now. So maybe I will help develop Spanish or Ukrainian youngsters in future. But of course, if a good offer to coach at USA high school or college/ university I can give it a couple of years. But I'm very satiesfied with as things are right now. I'm living my dream now....coaching runners at all levels all over the world online with great success.Coach J.S , The Magic Swede . 🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪
Jag hade en bra normal träningsvecka. 90 minuter per dag med minst en timme per dag bara löpning. 2 kvalitets pass. #1. 8x 2 minuter sub threshold pace med 1 minute jogg emellan - 5 km split 20:52
#2. Progression Run 10km 5- 4:50-4:40-4:30-4:20 4:15 4:12-4:10 4:05:4:00
No one will hire a questionable “coach “ . Do you have a resume ? references from all these athlete's that you supposedly coach ? All we see is a bunch of excuses ! If you can’t be bothered to coach at the club level in Sweden, what makes you think you can coach in the US ?

Tomorrow I will have a run again. Last run was Monday this week. The fastest way to reach good running shape goes by running medium fast / fast intervals.I feel quite strong now and it will be interesting to soon run in Spain for a couple of weeks in + 15-16 C instead of minus 2-4 C as here at my place in Sweden.I realy look forward to next year with my atempt to run in the WC Masters in my native town Gothenburg. This together with my coaching of some elite runners and runners at all levels all over the world makes next coming year to be exciting. 🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪

Do you have a Strava of your training for the onlookers to follow along?

Oh goodness, no! That would be like connecting his bathroom scale to the internet, and broadcasting his morbid obesity to the whole world.

I'm on Strava but don't have a GPS watch yet. Sometimes manually put up my training sessions there. But everyone needs world class online coaching can contact me there as well. Welcome! 🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪
This evening had a nice 20 x short hill interval again. Cold air - 7 C but everything felt good. Will probably feel easy running in + 15-17 C when I soon will train in Spain for two weeks. Will be nice and I looking forward to it.
My coaching of elites and runners of different levels goes on nicely. Emma tested a pure 1500m workout , 8 x 300m repeats @ 4 min 1500m pace and it went great. Josphat Too had an easy threshold interval 25x 400m @ 67-68 sec just to build for a couple of races coming soon in the USA.
Now we load up for new success in 2024 and I really looking forward to surprise the world of running with a good result in the Masters World Champs in my Sweden .Cheers! 🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪
No one is going to notice a 60 plus , overweight Swede , especially if he never makes it to the starting line. I predict nothing but excuses from the lazy wizard . Your training methods are laughable …
how about I train you and maybe you can run 5km without resting next year ?

Good coaching is how a sport grows. You have a chance to make a difference. Your assertion that all the talent is tied up in other sports is ridiculous. Many of my best athletes play both soccer and run, or are triathletes or swimmers and also run. These sports are not mutually exclusive. It is good for the youth to be doing running in addition to other sports. In our local track club's 40 year history, our membership has both ballooned and dwindled and it was all dependent on the kind of coaching that was available since we rely on volunteers. A good coach brings in the numbers. Athletes from other sports find out and want to join because they know it will help them to be more well rounded and sometimes they fall in love with athletics.

Sometimes? Your last entry on Strava is from March 2022!
