You're giving them too much credit. You used past tense. They're STILL being duped. As you say, "5 more days...." The successful duping of tens of millions of morans will never end. In our lifetimes, anyway.
What I’m learning from the modern era is that the general population will believe just about anything if you package the lie just right.
"Packaging." That's one of the things that makes Trumpism that much worse, and massively embarrassing for this country. No subtlety, no charm, no pretending to be a gentleman or a statesman or someone who cares about others; not much hiding of anything. Just in your face, "I'm an as***** who clearly only cares about myself. But please love me." And a good 30-40% of our country said, "Yes!" And ANOTHER 10-20% said, "We don't love him, but we'll vote for him.
As many have alluded to, with just a LITTLE bit of the "packaging" one might normally expect from a politician, and he'd probably still be president.

And you, the "conservative" voted for the most progressive anti-conservative president in US history because other people "got duped".
LOL!!
If Americans were just a LITTLE bit smarter and Democrats were a LOT less corrupt he would still be president.

Biden and I told you to get an EV. You wouldn't listen.
Enjoy your gas all the way to $5 and beyond.
I would rather pay $5 for gas if it provided me a reliable vehicle than the second worst vehicle on the market today in terms of reliability. To me having a reliable vehicle trumps all.
Then you really need an EV. They break down a lot less because gas cars have about 100 times more moving parts.
Your one Consumer Reports survey you tout all the time does not count breakdowns. And CR's other surveys show lower maintenance and higher customer satisfaction with EVs.
Gas cars are done. You pay through the nose for gas then you have to spend all your time at the shop getting oil changes and repairs.

An EV costs about $19,000 more than a comparable gas powered car.
It would take over 5 years for you to break even on your EV even with gas at $5. But then the Democrats have said openly that the intent is to make gas so expensive people quit using it. We'll see how well the American people like that plan in November.
Wrong.
Look at actual cost of ownership. This most recent study shows that most EVs are cheaper as soon as you drive off the lot. You don't even have to wait for payback any more.

You just don't get it.
It's much more than that. Crude oil prices have increased the cost of goods, materials, services, commodities, etc. all of which has been destroying our economy. When people are forced to pay inflated prices to the point where their wages are not keeping up, there will be a tremendous push back to the party that got us into this mess.
As I said before, our country must reopen every oil & gas lease that was killed by senile Brandon, reopen the XL pipeline AND pursue alternate energy sources. It must be a concurrent two-pronged approach.
EV prices are also soaring and for the majority of people- it is too expensive & impractical.

That is not true. EVs have a remarkable depreciation rate because the technological advances are so rapid. What Fat Hurts paid for his Tesla is not worth anything close now because the newer EVs are so much better- longer range, better battery, etc. His other EV I think the Chevy Bolt has been recalled so many times because it keeps exploding and getting on fire. Fat Hurts has no place to park it. He could park it in a dimly lit super market late at night hoping someone might steal it and he could collect insurance but who is going to steal a death trap?
My transmission is going on year 15. Your battery will need to be replaced by then.
If a grown up owns the car and takes care of it they last a very long time without any issues.
His Chevy Bolt needed to be replaced after only 2 years. And they ain't cheap.
I drove my Bolt EV for 4 years and 110,000 miles. Then there was a recall on the battery and they gave me a new one for free. Plus, the new battery increased my range by 20 miles. I made out pretty well on that deal.

I am telling the truth about my Tesla. On April 29, 2021, I paid $60,990 base price for my Tesla Model Y Long Range with FSD and upgraded paint color. Now it has 32,000 miles on it.
Look what a comparably equipped used Tesla sells for now, even with the same mileage:
Find new and used Tesla cars. Every new Tesla has a variety of configuration options and all pre-owned Tesla vehicles have passed the highest inspection standards.

Correction - what a comparably equipped used Tesla is SELLING FOR - not for what one sells for. I doubt anyone will pay that price. And do you know that used cars have gone up about 40% in the last 2 years. So a similar Tesla like yours might be selling for $30,000 if Biden and Mayor Pete ever get their sh*t together and get all the supply chain issues worked out. . Your Tesla might be a dinosaur soon.
Government has opened consultation over a proposed electric vehicle (EV) mandate that would demand that at least half of all new car sales emitted zero exhaust emissions by 2028.
