Trump didn't come close to 50% of GoP support in the 2016 primary. The MAJORITY of Republicans didn't choose him and then voted for him in the general because the alternative was worse in their view.
He's over 50 now but it's hard to tell how many of those people are actually Republicans given the left's new tactic of voting for far right candidates in primaries to sabotage the elections for the GoP.
Do you do stuff like this because you’re rhetorically manipulative, you’re just this bad of a thinker, or you’re addicted to the dopamine hit you get by winning over the straw target?
I actually don’t agree with the “insane” point, but you consistently veer into a worldview or style of argument where everyone who disagrees with you is mired in the same kind of groupthink with the very worst and dumbest positions, while you defend not only those supporters of Trump with more nuanced and reasonable positions, but also fail to recognize just how many don’t fit that description.

We live in a 2 party system. It is ridiculous to pretend that there's more than 2 choices.
All of the crazies are on 1 side or the other and you have to choose which side's crazies are worse.
In my opinion, not only are the crazies on the left worse but the Democrats let them steer the boat.
One boat is being steered by a guy that’s extremely delusional. That according to you, thinks he won an election that he clearly lost and is now facing 91 felony charges.
So you're willing to overlook the obvious flaws of your side because you find the alternative more distasteful.
If you loosened your tinfoil for a moment you might realize that there's people on the right that feel the exact same way.
I know that’s exactly what many of them feel, and the crux of my argument is not that they’re 100% wrong, they’re totally blind to reality, or that they don’t value a number of worthwhile things. It’s that the pros and cons tilt obviously in one direction one direction. And you’ve listed a number of your values. I look at the hordes of people on the right, who have a long hold similar values, yet consider Trump an abomination and ultimately a barrier to achieving their best aims for the long term. I don’t come up with this stuff by watching MSNBC, giggling at Jordan Klepper’s selectively edited takedowns, and hinging all my thoughts on a caricature of the other side. I have more respect for other people and far too much self-respect to do that.
The pros and cons don't obviously tilt in one direction.
Radical republicans make it hard to murder your baby.
Radical democrats will ruin every aspect of your life.

Flaws vs crimes and anarchy... hmm which should I pick?
Except, you are picking crimes and anarchy. The only candidate facing criminal charges is the guy you’re picking. On top of that, you’re advocating ignoring the law to continue your support.

Which Trump policies were "extremely delusional"?
Policy is much more important than personality.
And the 2020 election was decided by a few thousand votes. Nothing about the election is clear other than the fact that it was the first mass mail in voting election in US history and they botched it.

Radical democrats will ruin every aspect of your life.
Radical republicans make it easier to murder everyone that’s been born.

Huh? Yes, I get the 2-party system. Yes, I saw the post. He contends that Trump is unfit and that he’s unlikely to produce electoral wins (this usually aligns with the view on the right that Trump hurt immediate chances on the Republican ticket in many areas and hurts long-term chances for their agenda. You probably disagree with that point.)
his views are those of many people who hold the same values you list on the one side. Many people who believe that are those who also consider Trump the line you simply don’t cross in pursuing those values.
So perhaps those people consider a willingness to cross that line in pursuit of any goal to be insane.
that’s a far cry from saying someone is insane because they hate lawlessness, but that’s how you cast his argument.

Biden will be facing actual criminal charges before it's all said and done. He's been using the FBI and DoJ to protect his crime family for years.

If he has committed crimes that warrant indictment and stand a high chance of being proven in a court of law, then that’s what should happen. If not, then not.

HA!!!! now that's delusional. Getting charges from a Black Panther isnt really something you ought to lay your hat on. he will smash those charges, else SCOTUS will. the key will be you maniacs trying your mightiest to keep him off the ballots which, win or lose, you Communists will most certainly attempt to do

He directly said his supporters are all insane and then said no "truly responsible citizen" would vote for Trump.
You're both missing that honest, normal people view Biden and the Democrats in just as negative a light as you view Trump.
You don't have to be "insane" or "irresponsible" to vote against multitude of negative outcomes that come with a Democrat government.
I would like to nominate Running out of tinfoil for the most intelligent, logical and articulate posts on this board. And that is not just because I agree with them.

If he has committed crimes that warrant indictment and stand a high chance of being proven in a court of law, then that’s what should happen. If not, then not.
If Democrats weren't running the DoJ and FBI he'd have been indicted in 2019. The evidence is everywhere.

In 2019, the leaders of both the FBI (Christopher Wray) and DoJ (Bill Barr) were Republicans appointed by Donald Trump. Is your view that Donald Trump appointed Democrats without realizing it? Or that the FBI, which has never been led by a Democrat in its history, is so overrun with Democrats that Trump's appointee was unable to find evidence for an indictment?
Step back and ask yourself this question. Why am I bothering to debate someone that says this?
"I don't personally like Trump but I will vote for him as the lesser of two evils because I don't like corruption, lying and self dealing".
To have a legitimate debate or discussion you have to have an honest broker or some semblance of accepting of Truth as a common goal. These two trolls have none of that. Just iggy them.
If Democrats weren't running the DoJ and FBI he'd have been indicted in 2019. The evidence is everywhere.
Evidence? Let's see it.
Good lord...
Leave your bubble and take a look at some sources that aren't actively working for the Democrats.
The laptop Democrats declared was fake for 2 1/2 years is full of evidence. E-mails, text messages and photos which put Joe and Hunter together with business partners Joe has repeatedly lied about not having any dealings with.
Text messages and e-mails from Hunter complaining about having to pay all of Joe's bills.
