This thread mostly discusses exactly what it's title states, 50+ training. Ghost of Igloi has been a long-time regular poster on this thread. He is a lifetime competitive runner who has trained with some of the standout coaches of the past, like Mihaly Igloi. He has had a distinguished coaching career himself, and he has been a long-time top-10 age group competitor who is one of the people in my age group that I have measured my performance against.
Unfortunately for him, he acquired a stalker/troll on LRC who has constantly tried to insult him and attack his posts for several years now. The level of obsessiveness of this person , who posts under multiple names is disturbing. Whoever you are, please stay off this thread and let us return to discussing the challenges and strategies for continuing to be successful competitive runners on the high side of 50.
We have a broad spectrum of ages and backgrounds on this thread, and any of us may occasionally make a comment that ruffles someone's feathers.
If you want to talk about 50+ running, please don't hesitate to join the discussion. If you want to attack a fellow poster, please take that up with the moderators and stay off this thread with it.
