I'm pretty sure Buglar's 2nd mile split in his 3k would qualify him for the fast heat of the mile at conference.. otherwise an average overall time for him at 8:45 followed by a quick 4x400m split (anyone there get a time? - Johnnies?): he's poised for a good run at that MIAC title barring any new surprise entries next weekend.
Lillehaugen had a good showing at the 3k, too at 8:57. What will he do at conference? Trick question, he will do the 1k.
David Supinsky (Concordia) just threw his name in the ring for the indoor 800m title with his 1:56.44, if he went out a bit smarter he could run a tad faster (26 first 200m..). Not sure what he will do at conference. #1 in the MIAC at the 400m, 2 at 600m, and 3 at the 800m. What an underrated talent as a sophomore.
Way more impressive note, DCG went 4:08.90 at the NDSU meet. This mile matchup at conference is going to be TASTY!!
Carleton meet looked average. Kyle Fredrickson threw down another fast 600m taking the win over Krause. His previous season best was 1:21.02, he went 1:21.00 today. Remains favorite in the 600m.
Walter Edstrom is finally looking good again. Good double with a 1:59 800m then 4:27 mile, not sure the order of each.
The Gustavus distance guys still aren't looking themselves. Evan took the win in 8:56, not sure if it was a sit-and-kick race or not. Unless they try again next week, but as of right now, none of them (maybe Evan might) will make the fast section of the 3k(!!).
Any other notable performances?
