Let's see what we can come up with here.
Top 15:
Chenoweth, Leung, Edelman, Zablocki, Escareno, Cabral, Martin, Perrella, Merber, Hardy, Robbins, Heck, Stillin, Frost-Tift, Baird
Teams:
1. Princeton- Front two are crucial at Heps this year. The pack has been close enough that I'll give the nod for the 4-peat.
2. Columbia- Their pack was not that close at Pre-Nats. Home field advantage is huge though.
3. Dartmouth- Robbins/Zablocki duo is very tough. There 3-5 have very little room for error though.
4. Cornell- Edelman should be a low stick, and Cornell's strength this year is depth, which a lot of other teams are lacking.
5. Harvard- I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish up higher, but they're number 2 will have to be less than 1:20 back of Chenoweth as the case was at Pre-Nats.
6. Yale- Matched up decently with Cornell at Lock Haven, with Perella running well.
7. Brown- Another very tough duo up front in Escareno and Hardy, but not sold on their pack yet.
8. Penn
General comments:
Obviously, as has been discussed, Columbia and Princeton should be a battle. I see it being a toss up, but Princeton's 3-5 have performed well enough recently. I would not be that surprised to see any of the next 5 teams in the 3 spot. Most teams have a solid 1 or 2, but the 3-5 guys match up pretty evenly across the board. An unfortunate case of swine flu could be a devastating to those teams. A lot of parity this year, with a few points here and there meaning all the world. That's the great thing about Heps. Should be the best conference meet in the country, once again.
