Yes did but she ha since tested clean. Tuohy has run untested her entire career. Everytime that a test was in site, she got injured or sick or just plain quit.
I’m assuming Valby has been tested so frequently because of all the winning. Tuohy used to win a lot too, so I don’t understand why she was given a pass on this.
Interestingly enough, the USADA is not the testing agency for the NCAA.
So, this is irrelevant.
“Myth: American professional sports leagues and the NCAA are under USADA’s jurisdiction. USADA conducts the anti-doping programs for all Olympic, Paralympic, Pan-American and Parapan American sport in the United States. USADA does not have jurisdiction over the testing programs for MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL or the NCAA. Those organizations conduct their own drug-testing programs. There may be overlap if an athlete is competing for Team USA in addition to their normal activity (for example, when an NBA player is playing for USA Basketball in the Olympic Games).”
So even at the Olympic trials NCAA athletes are still being "tested" by the NCAA. Not that I would trust the USADA any moreso. The AIU is really the only one that seems interested in uncovering doping.
Anyway, suddenly testing at the trials after a whole season of training and no out of competition testing is laughable. It is an obvious loophole if you care to exploit it.
Makes you wonder why Valby still has not signed with a pro team. Maybe to stay under ncaa jurisdiction that much longer while taking maximum advantage of the testing window. Seems calculated.
Valby: four tests in 2024
Tuohy: zero test in her lifetime (and one trip to Austin for "nutrition")
You just keep on providing more and more evidence for why Valby is clean and Tuohy is dirty.
If testing could be assured of catching all the dopers then more than 2% of tests would return a positive. Estimates of actual doping range from a minimum of 10% of elites to over 50%. Because athletes can defeat testing the incentive to dope remains. Your favourite athletes may not be clean - even if they haven't failed a test.

Maybe I do not understand, but this is what that linked article says. "USADA conducts the anti-doping programs for all Olympic, Paralympic, Pan-American and Parapan American sport in the United States." How is NCAA involved in Olympic Trials Testing of NCAA athletes?
