Yes the ghosts of woodbridge were hanging around the finish line.

ngl I was pretty resentful with speed ratings last year when tyrone ran 192 and echohawk 190 salhman 185 jenkins/salhman and I see these random kids in ohio at msu spartan run 196 195 (to later got wrecked by these guys at nationals). However it seems they fixed the problem this year highest speed rating at msu is a 190 this year. It seems that most early season invitationals are playing on a more fair playground in terms of speed ratings. A big improvement from last year. Only outlier is drew griffith 197 which should be a 192 because its early season. I don't mind late season speed ratings such as meets like nxn/footlocker being higher because those are the races that truly matter and its good to not get runners too hyped to run insane too early. anyways big improvement by tully ratings this year imo
Checking in to see if anyone who had issues with times disappearing or wrong times in athletic.net and Milesplit have seen any progress of things getting fixed? A week later and we still have wrong time. Hopefully it eventually gets fixed. I know they said it would take some time.

Speed ratings are calculated from the mid pack performance and the Tully wizard hasn't changed anything. You are just happier this year with his work.

I've seen some corrections show up on athletic net, but still many things need to fixed.

In 2023, the top 20 runners ran under 14:15 for the 3 mile at woodbridge course, I am excited to see how many of these runners will be able to become successful coming the national championships for both NXN / Footlocker. I am also curious on how many of these guys will break 8:50 for the 3200?
Aaron Sahlman - 1st NXN
Tyrone Gorze - 3rd NXN, 13:45 5k, 8:36 3200,
Tayson Echohawk - 14th NXN, 4:01 mile
Noah Jenkins - 15th NXN, 8:43 3200
Matthew Donis - 13th NXN
Grant Morgenfeld - 18th Footlocker, 8:49
Liam Heninger - 8:44 3200
William Horne - 21st NXN
Christopher Caudillo - 8:44
Jason Parra - 8:46 3200
Broen Holman - 22nd Footlocker
Carter Spradling - 8:50
In 2022, out of the top 20 runners at woodbridge 3 mile, 12 of these runners would run under 8:50 for the 3200 or place well at NXN or Footlocker. In 2022 the top 20 runners ran under 14:20. That is 12/20 in 2022. 8 runners placed well at a national championship. 9 runners have phenomenal track times. which is really really good, I wonder if the same success can be replicated this year
How many top 20 woodbridge athletes will be able to have success at the national xc level this year? How many top 20 woodbridge athletes will be able to break 8:50 for the 3200 this year?
I think it's fair for top 6 here, everyone that broke 14 minutes, to be in the top 25 rankings.
If they can’t replicate the same success at Woodbridge as they can at a national championship course then there season won’t be seen as all that great. Truth is over half of these guys got too excited early on and weren’t able to replicate that same success late season. Top 20 Woodbridge doesn’t mean anything compared to top 25 at footlocker or top 25 nxn or top 10 runninglane.
Top 40 nxn is better than top 20 woodbridge
Woodbridge results don't mean anything when compared to meets like NXN or Footlocker. last year 3/5 of these guys disappeared from the xc scene and only 2/5 were able to improve and perform well at the end. This is not a meet to be complacent about. Milesplit only ranked Evan Noonan and Anthony Fast Horse in top 25, that's it.
I wouldn’t take what Milesplit says about rankings of anyone California related with much face value since they literally have no CA editor or staff at this point.
I also don’t know what you mean by “complacent” in this context?
I agree Woodbridge is a datapoint but not anywhere near the top of what is important in the end. That said, it is a datapoint and most of those kids are very fast and deserve props.
Interesting so the teams that placed first, Herriman and last, Yosemite both made vlogs
Last place at the sweepstakes is the real winner, their vlog has more views than first place.
In all fairness Herriman’s video has been up for less than a day
Wisniewski, who placed 6th or 7th at Woodbridge, just set an Oregon all-time 5km best in Washington Nike Twilight, 16:33, crushed some nationally ranked girls. Wow. #3 USA behind Forsyth (16:18) and Leachman (16:27).
Jack Meier got 2nd at portland today
woodbridge hdrunners rated, girl's sweepstakes are now up
