I'm a Utah fan, but I have no idea what Flotrack is smoking putting them at #6. True, they didn't run two or three of their best and still finished 2nd at Griak, but unlike the last couple years, they have no likely All-Americans on this year's team. Really hard to be top ten if your low sticks are in the 50-60 range.
The teams that I have seen showing Joe Piane on their schedule are (some might be Men only and I am sure I missed some): Alabama Charlotte Florida State High Point James Madison Loyola Marymount Michigan State Minnesota Monta...
NAU flipped 2 1st place votes to close gap vs NC St in latest poll. It looks like NAU has 3 1st place votes and 8 2nd place votes now while NC St has the remainder of both.
Jordan Shapiro (14th SEC, 13th South Reg.-2022) should be Florida’s 5th women.
Well she could be, but when Valby ran fast last year Shapiro finished 1:35 behind her (Arturo Barrios) and 1:43 behind her (SEC meet). That would have placed her in the 140s in team scoring at the NCAA meet. I would think they probably hope to close the 1-5 spread to about 1 minute this year.
No. 20 Arkansas competes over a 5,000m distance at Agri Park on Friday with a 4:30 p.m. start time among a field of 35 teams in the Harter’s Habanero race in the Chile Pepper Festival.

She didn't run their first race. It will be interesting to see where she is at this year.
Her best race last year was the south regional. The two FSU runners who were 1 second ahead of her and 1 second behind her both beat NC State's #5 at nationals, 79 and 84 vs 90. If Florida can get that from their #5 they will be very strong. 84th scored 71 last year.
Wilson was over 40 seconds ahead of the next Gator in that first race so it looks like it is between these two for their #5.

17:53 for 11th in the 5K FSU Invite today. BTW Michaela Rose 2nd in 17:20
Rose apparently saw Berlin and is now training for marathon.
Great result for Florida. The battle for #5 now has more entrants. Absent Wilson plus Donnely, Winborn, Pustelink and Shapiro. If they are lucky this little battle produces a #5 and a solid #6 and #7.

I must have a different set of eyes (just like for Dellinger). I don't see 17:30-18:00 times for 5K on that course in 70F weather as that great. Wilson not running (along with the 3 transferees plus Valby) tells me that is the top 5. 21:00 for 6K on that course was about 180th at 2021 NCAA championship.
Bush ranked way down weighed heavily by Joe Piane result. Born/Lagat of Ok State got high rating from fairly slow early season time. LACCTic does not consider 15:03 by Tuohy as it is not in TFRRS.
