Amazing for Muir to get a medal.
6 World Finals top tens before today. Finally on the podium.

Looks like GDS cratered in the last 200. Hull almost ran her down.
All credit to Laura Muir. Silver in that race, wow!
Good to see Hassan is human. She still has good chances to medal 3x
US women sweep! Or is that my dyslexia creeping in?

3:54.5 championship splits for a big PR for Murir.
Great run by Kipyegon. Hassan didn't have that last gear. Don't like Great Britain but I'm happy for Muir; she's been around a long time and runs with guts.
Yes, Faith shut down that triple idea of Hassan real quick over the last 200m!
Faith MF Kipyegon
I would’ve thought Hassan would try something different after doing that same exact thing in Monaco and losing
grumpyoldman has a problem with strong women....
how can anybody not be happy for Muir. Races all the time. And goes hard every single time. 800s, 1500s. gave up the 800 to focus on this and is hugely rewarded.
Maybe Purrier should have raced some non Americans. Pathetic to think you are good because you can time trial and beat weak american fields.

She may have known she didn't have the kick in her legs to hang back till the last lap

grumpyoldman sounds like a classic a**hole. I can't imagine the horror of living in that head.
Hassan = Salazar-style microdosing
Kipyegon = full-throttle EPO like Geb, Bekele, Komen, etc.
Laughable race.
American women sucked. Played it safe and finished at the back.
I'm a big fan of Tanaka. Tough, and one of the fastest clean women on Earth.
I still say Hassan is the 10000 favorite. Gidey just can't shift gears like here.

Absolutely - perfect judgement call, and an amazing outcome. PB as well as the silver.
More to come from her - maybe 2024 she can double medal
Kipyegon owns that distance for now. Hassan is brave, and human. Not sure how’s she’s going to get through the 10K. She looks fried.
Even with poor Kenyan results the Commonwealth nations are killing it. Aussies, Brits, Canadians all over the finals and winning medals.
